Material and Labour for obtaining approved earth ( stabilized soil) from out side defence land to a distance as per requirement and bring out to site and deposited for forming embankment/ filling berms including spreading in layers not exceeding 30 centimetre thick, levelled and ramming with 8 to 10 tonne mechanical roller including watering complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) To arrive finished quantity for payment purpose consolidation thickness shall be measured. (ii) Earth shall be free from foreign material, ie, grass, roots etc. (iii) The consolidation shall be done by heavy mechanical machinery of capacity exceeding 3 tonne. (iv) The specified standard proctor density under optimum moisture conditions shall be obtained and 5% deduction for bulkage shall be made.

Material and labour for one coat of black synthetic enamel paint on three sides of DTGM (1.20 x 1.50 mtr) installed in airfield area consisting background with black synthetic enamel paint and red colour retro reflective tape numerical / alphabet letter (150 mm width and 1000 mm height) on two sides complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for preparing of existing construction / contraction / dummy joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 10 to 12 mm wide and 27 mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 15 mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Material obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be removed from out side MOD land.

Material and Labour for preparing of existing expansion joint including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 20 to 25 mm wide and 38 mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air primed and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 13 mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed. Material and Labour for preparing old black bituminous surface by fibre for removing all loose dust/dirt particle etc sweeping the surface with brooms and finally the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose particle / dust etc and applying evenly a coat of cold bituminous emulsion @ 5 Kg per 10 Square metres by brushing to an uniform and fully blinded surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Cold bituminous emulsion shall be slow setting emulsion (SS-1) (IS:8887) and shall be procured directly from the manufacturer's only and brought at site in sealed drum/container of 200 litres. (ii) Empty drum shall be property of the department/MES and the same shall be removed from site from time to time and deposited at store yard of MES.

Material and labour 25 mm thick insulating glass (consisting of two parallel 6 mm thick toughened glass panes and 13 mm thick an aluminimum spacer tube (size and shape as required at site) for fixing to ATC Tower, jointed at each corner and filled with a specially designed absorbent and properly sealed . The unit is surrounded with sealing flexible sealent complete all as specified and as per manufacturer instructions. Note :- 1. Unit rate quoted is inclusive of :- (a) taking out existing glass and prepration of existing surface to receive 25 mm thick wooden beading of Ist class hard wood and matching with existing surface. (b) Ist class hard wood beading including two coats of French polish on wooden surface. (c) Taking out existing glass and depositing to MES store yard of GE (AF) Bamrauli. Necessary Receipt Voucher duly audited shall be obtained. 2. Make of glass shall be Saint gobain / Modi Guard / Hindustan

Supply and fix in repairs Solar control film 50 micron reflective type sticked to glass panels as per manufacturer’s instructions complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for retro-reflective sheet / tape for sign boards (800 x 800mm) installed in airfield area consisting background with black reflective sheet and golden yellow colour alphabet letter (10 cm width and 300 mm height), 25 mm thick border and one Arrow (300 mm long and 100 mm wide ) complete on both side of boards complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Sun Control Film on ATC glasses/panes complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (a) Sun Control Film shall be fixed by authorised representative of the manufacturer. (b) Sun Control Film specifications shall all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer. (c) The unit rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of scaffolding to provide sun control film at ATC tower. (d) Make of Sun control film: 3M Prestige 70 / Garware or any techno commercially equivalent make confirming to specifications and requirements as approved by GE.

Material and Labour for removal of rubber deposits from runway surface using water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total rubber deposits are removed from runway both (rigid and flexible) surfaces by the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & no damage to the existing surface complete all as specified and directed.. NOTES: (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator as approved by GE. (ii) Total rubber deposit should be removed and the Debris/water to be vacuumed simultaneously leaving No FOD so that the runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) The machine make to be deployed for runway rubber removal should have E-in-C approval eg SH 8000, SH5000, SK3000. (iv) Rubber deposit Debris should be in solid form when finally disposed. (v) In any emergency condition the machine should be exit from the runway in less than 2 mins without leaving FOD. (vi) Friction test should be carried out before & after rubber deposit removal operation. (vii) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the runway, the friction reading of the rubber removed segment should be minimum 0.55µ.

Material and Labour for removal of paint deposits from runway surface using water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total layer of paints deposits are removed from runway both (rigid and flexible) surfaces by the method of water blasting cum vacuuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & no damage to the existing surface. NOTES: (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator as approved by GE. (ii) Total paint deposit should be removed and the Debris/water to be vacuumed simultaneously leaving No FOD so that the runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) The machine make to be deployed for runway paint removal should have E-in-C approval eg SH 8000, SH5000, SK3000. (iv) Paint deposit Debris should be in solid form when finally disposed. (v) In any emergency condition the machine should be exit from the runway in less than 2 mins without leaving FOD. (vi) Friction test should be carried out before & after paint deposit removal operation. (vii) After carrying out paint removal operation on the runway, the friction reading of the paint segment should be minimum 0.55µ.

Finishing the surface of concrete in pavement/hard standing by belting and brooming complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour cement concrete in pavement / hard standing of flexural strength 40 Kg / per square centimetre in field using minimum 400 Kgs of cement per cubic metre of concrete slab not exceeding 25 centimetre thick , laying pavement concrete / Hard standing in bays between joints including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer / Engr-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Work shall be executed as per design mix as approved by GE. (ii) The content of cement as specified is minimum. Any variation in content of cement during design mix at site on plus side shall be borne by the contractor without any extra cost to the Government.

Material and Labour for repair to broken/damage portion of concrete slab or pavement of surface area not exceeding 10 square centimetre and depth not exceeding 15 mm by cutting damaged portion to slab/spoil edges to triangular / rectangular cross section and removing all loose and foreign materials and depositing the same to out side MOD land and cleaning the surface by compressed air to remove all dust dirt etc and washing with hydrochloric acid and filling with epoxy resin mortar after application of epoxy primer as per manufacture instructions bull nosing the edges complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Material obtained from damaged portion of concrete slab shall be removed from out side MOD land.

M&L for preparing of old black top surfaces by brooming with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with the use of air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc complete and applying cold polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME @ 0.89 litre per Sqm (undiluted) for two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on Runway complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- The tenderer shall take following points into consideration and are deemed to be included in quoted rate:- (i) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standard. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicator of PME manufacturers. (iii) A performance guarantee certificate for 3 (Three) years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. (iv) Application of PME shall be done by flooding and wiping in both first coat and second coat with the help of wiper or as directed by the manufacturer. (v) Application of PME shall be done under the supervision of manufacturer’s technical experts. (vi) Skid resistance test (Dry and Wet Condition) in every 5000 Sqm area of runway shall be carried out before and after PME by the Govt approved lab/by expert technician of PME manufacturer as directed by GE. (vii) PME required more/less than 0.89 litre/Sqm (undiluted) during execution of work as per direction of Engineer- in-Charge shall be measured and paid as supply only rate.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for and removing rubbish out site MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer/ Engr-in-Charge.
