Repairing of backhoe boom of Hydraulic Excavator No. 16962 working at Sanitary Landfill site Okhla.
Taking out the front arm of backhoe boom of 60 feet long excavator of BE 220G model and transporting to the workshop for repairing. Dismantling to boom and heating the surfaces by using blow lamp/ flame of oxygen & acetylene gas. Rubbing/ scrapping to cracked surface by using emery/ sand paper and ascertaining the defects/ crack in arm and strengthening to same by providing and fixing the plate made of low carbon steel grade C1001, size 1500x500x10 mm minimum, both inside and outside by using electric arc welding, transporting the arm back at SLF Okhla. Preparation of surfaces of boom and painting the same by applying red oxide primer paint followed by first coat and second coat of approved colour and quality synthetic paint, assembling/ connecting the arm in boom with the help of heavy tools/ tackles/ crane complete all as required at site.
