1. General Requirements i. The printer must consist of two printhead slots.,ii. Two printheads compatible with 3D printing bioinks (biomaterials and cells) must be supplied with the instrument.iii. The system must support attachment of various volumes of temperature-controlled printheads. 2. Printhead Specifications System should Support the Following Print-Heads I. Pneumatic Temperature-Controlled Printhead (3CC),1) Syringe Volume Compatibility: 3CC 2) Temperature Range: Room Temperature (RT) to 60˚C,3) Temperature Precision: ±0.5˚C or better 4) In-built UV and visible light photo-crosslinking modules II. Pneumatic Temperature-Controlled Printhead (5CC),1) Syringe Volume Compatibility: 5CC 2) Temperature Range: RT to 60˚C,3) Temperature Precision: ±0.5˚C or better 4) In-built UV and visible light photo-crosslinking modules III. Upgrade Option: User must be able to upgrade to 10CC syringe configurations. OEM shall provide proof of prior installations. IV. High Temperature FDM Printhead,1) Compatible with thermoplastics and equivalent materials 2) Temperature Range: RT to 250˚C or higher,3) Interchangeable nozzles: 0.2 mm to 0.8 mm,3. Build Platform I. X Axis: 120–130 mm or better,II. Y Axis: 50–80 mm or better,III. Z Axis: 50 mm or better IV. Backlash control mechanisms must be included to ensure effective movement on all axes, with proof provided. V. Layer resolution and XY resolution: <10 microns,VI. Must allow use of well plates (up to 12-well), petri dishes (20 mm and 60 mm), and glass slides. 4. Bed Specifications I. Bed Temperature Range: RT to 80˚C,II. Precision Control: ±0.5˚C or better,5. Accessories I. 3CC Air Syringes with tip ends and end caps – 50 units,II. 3CC Air Syringe Pneumatic Adapters – 2 units III. Dispensing Needles (18, 20, 21, 22 Gauge) – 50 units each,IV. Dispensing Tapered Tips (18–22 Gauge) – 50 units each 6. Safety Features - I. H14 HEPA filter with germicidal UV integrated into chassis II. Fail-safe mechanism for faulty UV exposure to ensure user safety III. System must not have an inbuilt compressor; a separate 3L external oil-free compressor must be provided 7. Software I. Printer must be compatible with most licensed and freely available slicing software for 3D printers and bioprinters. II. OEM must provide licenses for such software. III. Printer must include its own control software with at least two pre-fed designs: 1) One OEM-defined design 2) One user-defined design (provided 30 days before delivery) IV. OEM must demonstrate ability to integrate user-defined designs into control software. 8. Compliance I. Manufacturer must comply with ISO 9001:2015 certification. 9. Warranty & Maintenance I. Warranty: Minimum of 24 months comprehensive warranty covering all parts, labor, and service. II. Preventive Maintenance: OEM must provide at least two preventive maintenance visits per year during the warranty period. III. Service Support: 1) OEM must ensure availability of spare parts and for at least 10 years post-installation. 2) Response time for service requests must not exceed 72 hours. IV. Training: OEM shall provide on-site training for operators and technical staff at the time of installation. V. Extended Warranty: Option for extended warranty and annual maintenance contract (AMC) must be offered.
