COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF NWC BUILDING OF B/R AND E/M WORKS AT INS MANDOVI

Attending complaints of leaking/unserviceable pillar cocks, wall mixers, WHB mixers, bib taps, two-way bib taps, stop valves, angle cocks, etc. of 15 mm to 20 mm dia and making the same fully functional and leak-proof, including taking down carefully, dismantling, servicing, refixing and replacing minor unserviceable parts such as rubber washers, leather washers, brass jumpers and other similar consumable components of suitable size, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Attending complaints of leaking/unserviceable low level flushing cisterns of PVC or chinaware type and making the same fully functional and leak-proof, including taking down carefully, dismantling, servicing, refixing and replacing defective/minor unserviceable parts such as rubber washers, PVC levers, PVC/CP knobs and other similar consumable components, if required, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:The quoted rate shall be deemed to include cost of all labour, tools & plants, minor spare parts, consumables, thread, PTFE tape, sealing materials and all other incidental items required for satisfactory repair and functioning of the flushing cistern complete.

Attending complaints of internal water supply pipes, fittings and bottle traps for removal of blockages, leakages, air locks, deterioration of concealed/exposed pipes and fittings, and other defects of any description, including clearing of choke/air lock by pressure pump or any other suitable means, taking down carefully and refixing of pipes and fittings, and replacing old/unserviceable pipes and fittings with new ones wherever required, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall include checking, dismantling, servicing, testing and restoring the water supply system to proper functional condition, including rectification of minor leakage complaints and allied works complete. Note: The quoted rate shall be deemed to include cost of all labour, tools & plants, consumables, thread, PTFE tape, sealing materials and all incidental charges required for attending complaints and restoration of system. New GI/CPVC/PVC pipes and fittings replaced, if any, shall be measured and paid separately under respective Supply & Fix items of this schedule. This item includes labour component only for removal of blockages, air locks, leakage rectification and associated repair works.

Checking and Attending to Carpenter work in repairs to Joinery ,(wooden/ steel/aluminium)of iron alumunium mongery , pelmet box ,toughened glass door and partition, door spring ,rooling shutter etc requring carpenter work and carrying out minor repair such as tighting of screw nails ,wire of false celling ,easening of joinery,door spring etc including replacement of glass panes,wire cloth to joinery or any defective items /materials complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charges. Note:Cost of tools, plants, spare parts, nails or screws, etc.,. materials shall be deemed included in quoted rates.

Checking and Attending to welding work in repairs to steel windows, handles,door spring,iron frame of doors,rolling shutter garrages and other iron misc works, welding (run or spot welding as per site require maint) including replacement of defective items/material alongwith and including welding machine gloves ,welding glass welding rodany other tools required ,as per requirement complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charges. Note: Cost of tools, plants, spare parts, etc.,. materials shall be deemed included in quoted rates.

(vi) UV Sterilization Stage: Second bacteriological screening and sterilization using Ultra Violet Ray equipment inside the tank for elimination of suspended bacteria and microorganisms. (vii) Final Sterilization Stage: Final sterilization and third bacteriological treatment of tank floor and internal surfaces using laboratory-certified strong oxidizing agents such as TERBAC-G65/Inoxi-60/NB-69 or equivalent approved product. The work shall also include plugging/disconnecting outlet pipe of overhead tank prior to cleaning to prevent entry of scales/sludge into pipe system and reconnecting the same after completion of cleaning operation. After completion of cleaning and sterilization, contractor shall fix a sticker indicating date of cleaning, name of site/station and agency details, and submit sterilization/completion certificate to the Engineer-in-Charge. Make/Agency: Rays Cleantech / Inus Watertech / Satya Enterprise or equivalent makes specified in Appx-B Note: (i) Contractor/agency shall submit Government Laboratory Test Certificates for disinfectants/chemicals proposed for use before commencement of work. (ii) All cleaning and sterilization staff shall be covered under accidental insurance policy. (iii) Minimum 30% of deployed sterilization team members shall possess minimum three months’ certificate/training in water tank sterilization work.

iv) Contractor shall be responsible for rectification of complaints arising during/after cleaning operation such as non-filling of tank, overflow due to damaged float valve, blockage/choking etc., and quoted rates shall be deemed to include the same. (v) The quoted rate shall include cost of all labour, chemicals, consumables, dewatering arrangements, UV equipment, tools & plants, safety equipment, transportation, insurance, testing, certificates, stickers and all incidental charges required for complete execution of work.
