DISMANTLING AND TEMPORARY WORK

Dismantling with due care of brick masonry work at all heights and depths above and below ground level and disposing of the muck/debris within a lead of 10 km as directed by the Engineer/ Consultant

Dismantling with due care of plain/ reinforced cement concrete work at all heights and depths above and below ground level using pneumatic equipment and disposing of muck/ debris within a lead of 3 km as directed by the Engineer / Consultant

a) RCC work including cutting of reinforcement rods and embedments

b) PCC work

Dismantling of drainage pipelines and disposal of muck/ debris within a lead of 1 km as directed by the Engineer/ Consultant:

a] upto 300 mm dia pipes

b] 300 mm-600 mm dia pipes

Removal, collection, transporting, weighing at weigh bridge and unloading at MRD division of BSL, all wires and cables laid at site area all aa directed by the Engineer/Consultant to complete the work as specified, all vehicles, materials, tools, plant and labour etc. complete in all respect.

Dismantling with due care sewage pipelines and disposal at a place anywhere inside the Employer Works as directed by Engineer/ Consultant, including loading, unloading and transporting

a] upto 200 mm dia pipes

b] 200 mm-600 mm dia pipes

Dismantling carefully existing roofing, cladding on building roofs, sides and gable, including flushing sheets without damaging further the same at all heights above finished ground level including unfastening hook bolts, sheeting bolts etc and taking all precautionary measures for safe removal and carefully separating the various members, lowering, stacking, transporting and unloading scrap in the yard within the works and stacking neatly, all as directed by the Engineer/Consultant to complete the work as specified, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete in all respect. (Only net area /lengths as laid excluding laps will be measured!

Dismantling carefully the existing erected various structural steel members like gable runners, gable box girders, posts / hangers, dummy pieces, platform beams, columns, bracings, roof truss, monitor truss, crane girder, roof girder, auxiliary girder, purlins, gutter, rain water pipes, ducts, crane rails, staircases, ladders, handrails and all other miscellaneous structural steel work at all heights above finished ground level including necessary cutting of welded structures, loosening of bolts etc. taking all precautionary measures for safe removal and carefully separating the various members, lowering, stacking and transporting to Scrap yard within the works and stacking neatly, all as directed by the Engineer/Consultant to complete the work as specified, all materials, plant and labour complete in all respect. Note: For item Nos. Q-7 and Q-8 tenderer shall inspect the site and assess the quantum of job and quote accordingly.

Jungle cutting and removal of all vegetation, shrubs, bushes etc complete as directed by Engineer / Consultant and disposing the same anywhere within plant works as directed by Engineer/ Consultant, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete

Cutting and uprooting trees carefully having a girth measured at a height upto 1.0 m above existing ground level or as directed by Engineer/Consultant transporting the trees in convenient sizes anywhere within plant works premises and stacking them, all tools and labour complete in all respect.

a] Beyond 30 cm girth upto and including 60 cm girth

b] Beyond 60 cm girth upto and including 120 cm girth

c) Beyond 120 cm girth upto and including 240 cm girth

Dismantling with due care existing RCC floor /slab /wall by a track mounted sawing system with a diamond blade for accurate sized, straight and smooth finished vertical and horizontal cuts including removal of reinforcement all as directed by the Engineer to complete the work in all respects as specified, all materials, tools, plant and labour complete

Dismantling of road/ pavement work including all layers and removal of muck/ debris upto a lead of 1 km as directed by the Engineer

a) Bituminous Road/Pavement

b] Concrete Road/Pavement

Demolition of building with due care by controlled blasting at all heights and depths as per the guideline stipulated in IS :4081 and following all safely norms as per IS: 4130 including all planning, supply, installation, drilling holes, fixing explosives, covering holes, safety barrication, etc. with removal and discarding of debris at any place within a lead of 10 Km, all materials, tools, tackles and labour complete.

TOTAL OF DISMANTLING AND TEMPORARY WORK RAILWAY TRACKS

Dismantling the existing railway track consisting of 60 kg/m and 52 kg/m rails including all turnouts, level crossings, points and crossings, check rails, guard rails etc. including removal of rails sleepers, fittings, fastenings and fixtures, ballast etc, transporting/ stacking of dismantled materials within a lead of 3km and handing over the same to the Employer at the specified place within plant area and disposal of debris/ unserviceable materials and stacking of ballast inside the boundary of BSL works as directed by the Engineer. Re instalation of railway track with the dismantled materials including all sleepers, turnouts, level crossings, points and crossings, check rails, guard rails etc as shown in the drawing and as directed by the Engineer/ Consultant including all consumable, tools and tackles, labours, equipment and machineries etc. complete.

Chipping and trimming of diaphragm wall concrete to the required profile and level, including removal of excess lean concrete and weak or contaminated concrete, without disturbing or damaging the main reinforcement, complete as per approved drawings, specifications and directions of Engineer in Charge. The work shall be executed inside a running shop or CCP without shutdown and under all operational constraints. The scope includes controlled chipping by manual chiselling or approved mechanical means. It includes removal of laitance, slurry mixed concrete, loose, honeycombed or unsound concrete and trimming to the specified cut off level, line and profile. Exposed reinforcement shall be cleaned by wire brushing and washing to remove adhered concrete, slurry or rust while ensuring bars remain intact, straight and undamaged for lapping, welding or coupler connections. Any damage to reinforcement due to improper execution shall be rectified at contractor’s cost. The item includes making the concrete surface sound, clean and ready for subsequent concreting, capping beam construction or connection works. It includes provision of necessary working platforms or scaffolding, compliance with plant safety rules, permit systems, safety arrangements, barricading and lighting. The scope also includes collection, handling, loading, transportation and disposal of all chipped concrete debris, waste lean concrete and slurry contaminated material to designated locations within plant premises, and cleaning of the work area after completion. The rate includes all labour, supervision, tools and tackles, chipping equipment, consumables, handling, rehandling, transportation, shifting within site, all leads and lifts, execution under restricted access and live plant conditions, standby if required and all incidental expenses necessary for completion of the work in all conditions. No separate payment shall be made for hardness or strength of concrete, depth of chipping, working height, access difficulty, interruptions, idle time, night work or execution inside running plant premises. The rate shall be final and binding. No extra claim, compensation or extension of time shall be admissible on any account whatsoever.

Providing, fixing, aligning, supporting and removing centering and shuttering or formwork for RCC capping beam works of diaphragm wall, complete as per approved drawings, specifications and directions of Engineer in Charge. The work shall be executed inside a running shop or CCP without shutdown and under all operational constraints. The scope fully includes supply of all shuttering and formwork materials such as steel plates or plywood, runners, walers, soldiers, props, scaffolding, staging, clamps, bolts, ties, wedges, supports and all accessories required for complete formwork system. It includes fabrication, erection and fixing of formwork to the required shape, size, line, level and plumb. Provision of chamfers, fillets, grooves, rebates, pockets, openings, inserts, sleeves, dowels, anchor bolts and construction joints as shown in drawings or required for execution is fully included. The item includes application of approved shuttering oil, sealing of joints to prevent leakage of cement slurry, grout or water, and providing adequate bracing, staging and supports to safely withstand fresh concrete pressure, vibration, working loads and site constraints. Alignment, rigidity and stability of formwork shall be maintained throughout concreting and any correction required shall be at contractor’s cost. The scope also includes removal and stripping of formwork after the specified period without causing damage to concrete edges, corners or surfaces. It includes cleaning, handling, shifting and stacking of formwork materials for reuse or removal. Any repair to concrete surfaces arising from formwork defects shall be deemed included. The rate includes all labour, supervision, tools and tackles, scaffolding and staging, consumables, shuttering oil, handling, rehandling, transportation, shifting within site, all leads and lifts, compliance with plant safety rules, permit systems, restricted access conditions, barricading, lighting, housekeeping and all incidental expenses required for completion of the work in all conditions. No separate payment shall be made for variation in beam size, height, depth, curvature, working height, access difficulty, congestion of reinforcement, interruptions, idle time, night work or execution inside running plant premises. The rate shall be final and binding. No extra claim, compensation or extension of time shall be admissible on any account whatsoever.

Supplying, transporting, unloading, stacking, straightening, cleaning, cutting, bending, fabricating and placing in position high yield strength deformed steel reinforcement bars of grade Fe550D conforming to IS 1786, of various diameters, for RCC works, complete as per approved drawings, Bar Bending Schedule and directions of Engineer in Charge. The work shall be executed inside a running shop or CCP without shutdown and under all operational constraints. The scope fully includes supply of reinforcement steel by the contractor, handling at site or fabrication yard, straightening and de coiling where required, removal of rust, mill scale or surface impurities, cutting and bending to required shapes, hooks, cranks, bends and lengths. It includes providing laps, anchorage and development length strictly as per drawings and specifications. Welding shall be carried out wherever specified, including supply of welding sets, power, electrodes and consumables. The item includes assembling and fabrication of reinforcement comprising main bars, distribution bars, stirrups, links, binders and all secondary steel necessary for proper fixing. It includes placing reinforcement in correct position with specified cover, fixing cover blocks, chairs, spacers, separators and supports, tying at all intersections with approved binding wire, and maintaining correct spacing, alignment, line and level during concreting. Any adjustment, correction or refixing required to achieve compliance shall be at contractor’s cost. The rate includes all labour, supervision, tools and tackles, cutting and bending charges, welding sets and consumables, binding wire, cover blocks, chairs, spacers, handling, rehandling, transportation, shifting within site, all leads and lifts, compliance with plant safety rules, permit systems, restricted access conditions, standby, repeated mobilisation if required and all incidental expenses necessary for completion of reinforcement work in all conditions. No separate payment shall be made for variation in bar diameter, quantity, congestion, working height, access difficulty, interruptions, idle time, night work or execution inside running plant premises. The rate shall be final and binding. No extra claim, compensation or extension of time shall be admissible on any account whatsoever.

Providing, supplying and laying cast in situ reinforced cement concrete of specified grade conforming to latest IS:456 for tie beams and connected beams, in all respects, complete as per approved drawings, specifications and direction of Engineer-in-Charge. The item includes supply of all materials by the Contractor including cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate (20 mm and down graded), water and approved admixtures if required, design mix concrete, batching and mixing in approved batching plant/mixer, transportation to site, placing in position at all levels and heights, laying to required line, level and dimensions, and compaction by mechanical vibration to achieve dense concrete, complete. The item also includes finishing of exposed surfaces as specified, providing construction joints wherever required, curing for the specified period, protection of green concrete, and making good of edges and surfaces, complete. Rate shall include all labour, tools, tackles, plants and machinery, fuel, consumables, handling, transportation, all leads and lifts, testing and quality control (slump and cube tests), supervision and incidental expenses required for completion of the work. Reinforcement steel and centering/shuttering shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items unless specifically included in BOQ. No extra claim shall be entertained on any account whatsoever.

Providing and executing connection of new diaphragm wall with existing underground scale fume tunnel wall, complete as per approved drawings, specifications and directions of Engineer in Charge, ensuring structural continuity and permanent watertight performance. The item includes detailed survey and marking of connection locations, controlled chipping, hacking and trimming of existing tunnel wall concrete to expose sound concrete and reinforcement, cleaning of surfaces by wire brushing, air or water jetting, and preparation of joint faces. It includes drilling and fixing of dowel bars, starter bars, mechanical couplers, shear connectors or embedded plates as specified, using approved bonding agents, epoxy or non shrink grout. The scope includes forming construction joints and interfaces, providing and fixing inserts, sleeves and openings required at the connection zone, and sealing of all joints and gaps using approved waterproofing systems suitable for permanent underground construction to achieve leak proof continuity. Any adjustment or modification required to suit actual site conditions shall be deemed included. The item includes execution under restricted access and running plant conditions, providing all labour, supervision, tools, tackles, drilling equipment, bonding and sealing materials, handling, transportation, working platforms, safety arrangements, barricading and all incidental expenses required for completion of the work in all respects. The rate shall be inclusive of all leads and lifts and all measures necessary to achieve a sound, durable and watertight connection between the existing scale fume tunnel wall and the new diaphragm wall. No extra claim, compensation or extension of time shall be admissible on any account whatsoever.
