MAINTENANCE/REPAIR TO PU JOINT FILLING, EPOXY AND ELEASTOMERIC ON TAXI TRACK, PTT, DISPERALS IN TECH AREA AT AF STN BHISIANA UNDER GE (AF) BHISIANA

Material and labour for Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pacing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 8 mm to 12mm dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875 2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of+!- 30% complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, over it filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm to 45mm dia and above as required for complete length of the joint. Finally filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor MAF of+/- 30% complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note: 01 to 03 item: Rate quoted by bidder is deemed to be inclusive of all the equipment for removing old sealant and filling the sealant. Also, rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of sealant, backup rod and filler board.

Repair to top out spelled joints, broken corners and pot holes in concrete slab by chiseling/mechical cutter to provide regular prismatic cavity with sides perpendicular and cleaning off all loose or broken materials to a distance exc 50m and not exceeding 100metre. Cleaning and washing the surface and application of surface treatment with Epoxy tar compound complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Material and labour for Repair to pot holes depth & girth upto 25mm in concrete slab by Cleaning the potholes with electric blower to remove the dust particles with and including applying primer properly and leave for 30 minutes for settle down and fill with elastomeric concrete as per manufacturer's instructions and compacted with tools complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.
