| 2Excavation for sewer lines, manholes, gully pits, sumps, etc., in ordinary soil for the required depth below ground level, including cutting of joint pits, trimming, dressing and leveling of excavation, and refilling of trenches in 15 cm layers, each layer being mechanically compacted to achieve a minimum 95% of the specified maximum dry density, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. As the work is to be executed primarily during night hours and holidays due to restrictions imposed by the District Court authorities, the contractor shall provide adequate lighting and all necessary arrangements for safe and proper execution of the work. No surplus excavated earth, debris or construction material shall be left/spread on the roads or premises. All excavation and associated works commenced during night hours or holidays shall be completed, properly backfilled and the site cleared before commencement of the next working day. | |||||
