PART-A : Bank Protection(Sl. No. 1-21) Earthwork in excavation in the canals / drainage channels / borrow pits / River bed / slope of bank as noted below as per designed section & throwing the spoils in layers of 25 cm. for making banks as per profile or to deposit the same in any other place within an initial lead of 30 metre and initial lift of 1.5 metre including breaking clods, rough dressing etc. complete as per direction of the Engineer / Engineer's representative. In ordinary soil / local soil / soil mixed with moorum or kankar / silt, dry or moist / slushy silt / sticky soil.
Disposal/carriage of excavated earth / materials outside Government land by truck or by any other conveyance over kancha / pucca road including making access for plying the truck or any other conveyance beyond 300 m and upto a distance of 5.00 km from the excavated point including cost of stacking, loading, unloading, transporting, arrangement of land, if required by agency, spreading and levelling as necessary etc. complete. [Payment shall be made on the basis of net volume after deduction for void of 1/10th of gross volume of stack].
Supplying fitting, fixing Darma Mat in flowing or stagnant water or in dry areas with 16 SWG GI wire as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Where boats are necessary.
Supplying of empty polythene cement bags (having capacity 50 kg), filling the same with locally available silver sand, closing the bag by machine stitching with approved sewing thread and dumping the bags in proper places over the darma mat for its sinking to the river bed as per direction of the Engineer / Engineer's representative. Volume of each sand filled bags should not be less than 0.028 cum. The rate shall include cost of bag, sand, filling, stitching, dumping, hire charges of boat, boatmen etc. all complete.
Supplying Jhaw / Eucalyptus bullah piles at work site, including dressing and making one end pointed. 20 cm av. diameter . Note: Diameter of pile to be measured at a distance of 1.5 meter from the thicker end.
Labour for driving Jhaw / Eucalyptus bullah piles by monkey in all sorts of soil including hoisting and placing piles in position, protecting the pile head with iron ring and cutting and shaping heads before and after driving and including hire and labour for necessary driving appliances and all tackles. 20 cm av. diameter. Providing supplying and making suitable stack of Geo textile-Bags made of polypropylene multifilament woven fabric as per specification having suitable internal dimension to accommodate river sand not less than 100 Kg & subsequent filling the same with local available river sand weighing (gross wt.) not less than 100Kg. per bags, closing the bag by machine stitching with stitch density of 4-5 stitches per inch with PP MY (Polypropylene multifilament yarn) or equivalent with approved sewing thread as per specification & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The rate includes all materials labours, and other incidental charges etc. complete. Specification of Geo-textile for manufacturinq Geo Bags : (a) Mass per Unit area : 240 gms./Sqm. Labour charges for handling, carrying and placing the sand filled geo-bag on slope or dumping from bank/boat/pontoon includng all lead and all lifts. The rate include all carriage and hire charges of all equipments including boat, boatmen etc. as directed by the Engineer / Engineer's representative.
Providing & supplying of polypropylene (P.P.) rope crate of size 1.0m x 1.0m x 0.5m (approx) made up of 6mm dia P.P rope having maximum mesh opening size around 150mm x 150mm with following specification: Minimum weight of rope-17 gm/meter length . Minimum breaking strength for individual rope-600kg . Structure of rope: 3 strand howser laid. [Payment shall be made on the number of crates accepted and used in work]
Labour charges for carrying, placing & positioning the sand filled Geo textile-bags manually in P.P rope crates of size (1.0m x 1.0m x 0.5m) (4nos. sand filled geo-bags in each crates), properly tightening of open ends of crates by 6mm dia P.P. ropes and placing the filled crated at proper location etc. including all leads & lifts complete as per direction of the Engineer / Engineer's representative. [N.B. : Cost of sand filled Geo-bags and P.P. crates will be paid separately]
Supplying of 26.5mm nominal size machine made stone chips at site including cost of material, loading, unloading, stacking, carriage etc. including all incidental charges complete. [Payment will be made on the basic of stack measurement of minimum height of 35 CM after deduction of 1/13 of gross volume for void]
Labour charges for carrying, placing/laying of 26.5mm nominal size machine made stone chips in the drains/ trenches on river bank/bed/slope including all lead & lift all complete as per direction of the Engineer / Engineer's representative. (Payment shall be made on the basis of net volume of material used from stack).
Making filter with well graded 40 mm down Jhama ballast and laying uniformly behind weep holes, below pitching on bed, side slopes including supply and carriage of all materials to site including preparing bed with earthwork up to 30 cm depth, where necessary and compacting with wooden malllet after laying to achieve designed section as per direction of the Engineer / Engineer's representative. [Measurements will be on finished volume of work or in stack of minimum height of 35 CM after deduction of 1/13 of gross volume towards void in both cases]

[Payment shall be made on the basis of stack measurement. Precast cement concrete blocks or lining units as per designed section and specification in nominal mix. proportion 1:1.5:3 (corresponding to M20 Grade) with well graded 20 mm down Pakur Variety coarse aggregate, including dressing, ramming, shuttering, finishing the surface by trowel without adding any additional cement and sand mortar, curing, transporting and laying the blocks or lining units at worksite in position over sand cushion/ filter layer with cold (paper) joints between the adjacent units, having gap varying from 0 to 5 mm as tolerance, with all leads and lifts including supply and carriage of all materials complete.

Supplying at site and Labour charges for filling of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bag of size 0.84 m x 0.38 m conforming to BIS : 14252 : 2015 for bank protective works with silver sand including machine stitching the open end of the bag with thread as per design and placing the same on slope or dumping from bank within initial lead of 30m and all lifts including carriage and hire charges of all materials and equipments, cost of sand, transportation, incidental charges etc. all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge (Volume of earth/sand filled bag should not be less than 0.0328 cum). The rate includes cost of Silver sand.
Supplying fitting and fixing in position 8 mm. to 12 mm.thick Dholpur slab in wall, dado making suitable arrangement to hold the stone properly with approved polymerised adhesives (6 mm thick) as per ISI specification including pointing with cement mortar (1:2) (1 cement: 2 marble dust) with admixture of pigment matching the stone shades all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including cost of all materials, labour, scaffolding, staging, curing complete [using white cement for pointing @ 2.4 kg/ Sq.m].
