SPECIAL REPAIR/REPLACEMENT AND RE-ROUTING OF HT UNDERGROUND CABLES WITH CONNECTED ITEMS FROM COD POWER HOUSE TO OLD BASE HOSPITAL SUB STN UNDER GE(U) ELECT SUPPLY, DELHI CANTT-10

Excavation in trenches not exc. 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 mtr deep in soft loose soil for laying / taking up/ taking down of cables and getting out and levelling of bottom suface to required level all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in,. Including spreading, levelling,. Watering and well ramming soil in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material (ie soil) from site to a distance n. exc 50 mtrs away and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 mtr above the starting point all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for river washed and screened, dry sand for filling in trenches below and around underground cables for cushioning of cables etc, complete all as specified.

Supply & laying non-reinforced precast concrete cable (PCC) cover class HVP type 1 with peak size 300 mm x 180mm x 40mm in trenches for protection to under ground cable complete all as specified.

All as per item No 5 above but laying of old cable cover obtained from excavation.

Supplying, laying, jointing testing and connecting XLPE insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable (heavy duty) 240 sqmm 3 core with multistranded aluminum conductors, 11 KV grade, IS 7098 marked, suitable for HT 11 KV(E) system, laid in trenches / ducts / encased in GI pipe / fixed to pole, including jointing & testing complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Excavation, earth work ,cable protection , sand fillings , cable joint shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of schedule.

Boring of holes under road, pavement, hard standing by trenchless technology using ultra sounding technique and necessary machine complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & fix cable route indicator made of RCC (Nominal Mix) type B0 1:2:4 (12.5mm graded stone aggregate) with 8mm TMT Bar 150mm c/c of size 1m height X 60cm wide X 10cm thick tapered on top, visible above ground, duly painted with synthetic enamel paint of yellow colour base and letters with black paint. The description for writing for MES HT cable 11KV as directed by Engr-in-charge complete all as specified and directed. Note : Rate for PCC 1:3:6 for foundation (min size 0.8mx0.3mx0.3m) of aggregate size 20mm including necessary excavation & earthwork for cable route indicator deemed to be included in the item.

Material & labour for HDPE pipe of suitable for 6 kgf/cm 2 working pressurewith all fitting , laid in trenches for protection of cable in road /drain crossing of 160 mm dia in sizes complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for indoor termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminum conductor cable of following size 240sqmm to 300 sqmm 3 core complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Cable jointing kit for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for straight through heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminum conductor cable of size 240 sqmm to 300 sqmm complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode of size 60cmx60cmx6 mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, connected to galvanized strip of size 32x6mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part I, connected to earth test point and the equipment on the other nuts and washers of galvanised ironside complete all as specified, including testing and commissioning complete all as directed. Note : (a) The unit rates quoted against this item shall be deemed to include the cost of excavation and earth work in any type of soil, common salt & charcoal dust in alternate layers, PCC 1:3:6 as in pit, precast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 with necessary reinforcement as in cover & frame for pit, funnel, watering pipe 20 mm bore GI pipe light grade, protection pipe 40 mm bore GI pipe medium grade etc. (b) The quoted rates shall also deemed to include the cost of earth test point and earth strip/GI strip 32x6mm and protection pipe upto 7.5 meter beyond the earth plates electrode.
