TENDER FOR PROPOSED ADDITIONS AND ALTERATIONS TO THE EXISTING CARGO SHED AT MADHUSUDAN JETTY IN CHENNAI PORT

Bill no.1 Dismantling existing damaged Roofing system

1.Dismantling the existing Steel Roof and other joineries including Trusses, purlins, Wind bracings, Tie runners, roofing Sheets, ridges,valleys, wooden doors, windows, steel doors, etc., by suitable mechanical means, without damaging the existing structures all as per relevant drawings, specifications and as directed including stacking the material within a lead of 50m or as directed for re-transportation and taking away the salvageable materials, including barricading, defastening, cutting, handling, etc, all as directed including all labour, cranes of suitable capacity wherever required, equipment, tools, plants,tackles, scaffolding, safety ladders, safety belts,safety helmets, transport, fuel etc., complete. 1 (i) The assessed sale value of useful materials to be taken from the building Note: 1.Upon entering the lumpsum amount in rate column of Sl.No (1.1) the amount column will display negative sign (-) which indicates the amount to be deducted from the gross total, since the quoted amount is payable to the Trust by the Contractor. 2.Refer Part II C Specification of work under Section V - clause 1, while quoting rate for this item.

Bill no.2 Developing additional floor inside the shed, construction of Overhead water tank with access staircase and other improvement works;

2) Dismantling and removing the existing damaged RCC Jally without damaging the nearby structures, including stacking the debris within a lead of 50 m or as directed for re-transportation and handing over the retrieved serviceable materials if any to the Trust’s Store anywhere within the Port premises and making good the disturbed portions if any, all as per relevant drawings, specification and as directed including all labour, tools, equipments, transport, fuel etc., complete.

3) Dismantling the existing brickwork in C.M above deck level and wherever required as existing at site without damaging the nearby structures to the required size, shape and level all as per relevant specification and as directed and making good the disturbed portions, if any, including depositing the debris within a lead of 50m or as directed for re-transportation and disposal including all labour, tools, tackles, equipments, plants, fuel etc., complete.

4) Dismantling the existing lean mix plain cement concrete as existing at site of work and wherever required without damaging the nearby structures to the required level,size and shape all as directed at site including and making good the disturbed portions, if any and depositing the debris within a lead of 50m or as directed for re-transportation and disposal including all labour, tools, equipments, fuel, transport, etc., complete.

5) Dismantling and removing the existing damaged urinals with all accessories without damaging the nearby structures, including transporting and handing over the serviceable materials if any, to the Trust’s Store anywhere within the Port premises and disposing the rubbish, making good the disturbed portions if any, all as directed including all labour, tools, equipments, transport, fuel etc., complete

6) Dismantling and removing the existing damaged urinal partition with all accessories without damaging the nearby structures, including transporting and handing over the serviceable materials if any, to the Trust’s Store anywhere within the Port premises and disposing the rubbish, making good the disturbed portions if any, all as directed including all labour, tools, equipments, transport, fuel etc., complete.

7) Dismantling the existing Plain Cement Concrete wearing coat (rich mix) over the deck slab inside the shed, STP area and wherever required without damaging the nearby structures to the required level, size and shape by mechanical means all as per drawings, specifications and as directed including making good the disturbed portions if any, and depositing the debris within a lead of 50m or as directed for re-transportation and disposal all as directed including all labour, tools, tackles,equipments, fuel, transport, etc. complete.

8) Dismantling / Cutting the Reinforced cement concrete in the existing deck slab( for rectification of existing openings), Columns and beams (for fixing roof Trusses ) and wherever required to the required size, shape and level without damaging the nearby structures, all as per relevant drawing and as directed , including depositing the dismantled debris within a lead of 50 m or as directed for re-transportation and disposal including cutting and removing the reinforcement steel from the structures wherever possible and handing over the retrieved salvageable materials to the Trust’s Store anywhere within the Port premises and making good the disturbed portions if any, including all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, plants, scaffolding,transport, fuel,gas cutter etc., complete.

9) Chipping thoroughly and removing the existing wall plastering in cement mortar from outer /inner wall surfaces (wherever required only) without damaging the nearby structures including collecting and depositing the debris within a lead of 50 m or as directed for re-transportation and disposal all as per specification and as directed, including scaffolding , all labour, tools, materials, etc.. Complete.

10)Chipping thoroughly and removing the existing floor plastering in cement mortar over the floor slab and roof slab of existing rooms in the western side building and wherever required, without damaging the nearby structures including collecting and depositing the debris within a lead of 50 m or as directed for re-transportation and disposal all as specified and as directed, including scaffolding , all labour, tools, materials, etc.. complete.

11) Dismantling and removing the existing damaged Rain water pipes without damaging the nearby structures and handing over the retrieved materials to the Trust’s Store anywhere within the Port premises, all as specified and as directed, including all labour, tools, tackles, equipment,scaffolding, plants,transport, fuel etc., complete.

12) Scrapping and removing the existing colour wash from existing wall surfaces thoroughly and preparing the walls to receive new painting by scrapping, washing with water all as specified and as directed including scaffolding, all labour, materials, equipments, brushes, sand papers etc., complete

13) Drilling holes to the required diameter, depth and fixing anchor bolts in the existing deck slab / Beam / Pile muff for developing columns including grouting with Lokfix anchoring adhesive of M/s Fosroc make, all as per manufacturer’s specification, drawings and as directed including all labour, materials, equipments, etc., complete. Note:1. Cost of the bolt will be paid under relevant structural steel item 2. It shall be ascertained that the development of column exactly over the existing piles a) for 24mm Dia Bolts (Hole size – 32mm dia)

14) Supplying, fabricating, welding, loading, transportation to site, unloading and erection of structural steel members for the following items including cutting, drilling, hoisting, fixing in position and providing necessary staging, scaffoldings, working platforms at all heights, and removal of same after erection, including necessary anchor bolts conforming to relevant BIS, grouting of anchor bolts with high strength free flow Non-shrink grout mix, base plates etc., and preparing the surfaces and applying two coats of IPNET Anti-corrosive polymer coating over one coat of red oxide primer or equivalent of approved make and shade,(Thickness not less than Primer- 50 Microns, Middle coat - 100 Microns and top coat - 50 Microns) including all accessaries/ consumables for proper completion of work, all as per drawings, relevant specifications and as directed including all labour, materials, tools, tackles, equipments, Machineries, cranes of sufficient capacity wherever required ,transport, fuel ,safety helmets, safety belts, brushes etc., complete. a) Steel Building inside the Shed, Roof portion for STP & Head Room for Staircase

15) Providing and fixing Colour coated Galvalume Metal Sheet for light roofing system / wall cladding using Colour coated Galvalume Metal Sheet of 0.50 mm thickness (TCT) as available in the market, with yield strength of 550 Mpa, to the required size and fixing in proper position with necessary screws and all accessories, all as per drawings, relevant specifications and as directed , including providing scaffolding, all materials, labour, tools ,equipments, transport, fuel, safety helmets, safety belts, etc., complete.

16) Providing and fixing Colour coated Galvalume Metal Sheet for ridge portion using Ridge sheets of 0.5mm thickness(TCT) as available in the market and fixing in proper position with necessary screws and accessories all as per relevant specifications, drawing and as directed , including all materials, labour, equipments, scaffolding, tools , transport , fuel, safety helmets, safety belts , etc., complete.

17) Providing and fixing 2mm thick nominal Poly carbonate sky light sheet (transparent ) of approved size for roof / cladding portion with necessary screws and accessories, all as per relevant specifications, drawing and as directed at site of work including providing scaffolding, all materials, labour, tools ,equipments, transport , fuel ,safety helmets, safety belts , etc., complete.

18)Supplying and fixing Turbo Vent (Rotative type) of 760mm dia and 460mm height with 42 vanes made up of 0.5mm thick Aluminium alloy 8011 with necessary accessories over roof all as per manufacturer’s specifications, drawings and as directed , including providing scaffolding, all materials, labour, tools ,equipments, transport , fuel, safety helmets, safety belts ,etc., complete.

19) Providing and fixing in position 12mm nominal thickness Plain Cement Bonded particle board (Bison make or equivalent ) for double skin for Partition walls inside the shed and wherever required all as shown in the drawing,and as directed, fixed with Galvanised steel studs (C-section) of 70mmx35mmx8mm lip or any other approved size with suitable channel sections (tracks) including cutting, jointing, fixing , the panels with self tapping self embedding screws at spacing 400mm centres or as directed all as per manufacturer’s specifications and relevant drawings including applying two coats of plastic emulsion paint (Asian/Berger/Dulux or equivalent)over one coat of emulsion primer (Asian/Berger/Dulux or equivalent) or as directed including providing necessary openings of required size for doors and windows etc., as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding ,transport, fuel, etc, complete. Note:1 The Cement Bonded particle board shall conform to IS 14276-1995 2. Actual area of Partition wall ( less openings for doors and windows) alone will be measured for payment purpose. 3. Each layer of particle board provided will not be measured seperately and paid for payment purpose.

20) Providing and fixing in position 30mm nominal thickness Plain Cement Bonded particle board (Bison make or equivalent) for flooring in the eastern side of the shed including cutting, jointing,fixing the panels with joists/ beams with screws including filling the gap with Acrylic filler or polysulfide all as per manufacturer’s specifications and relevant drawings and as directed at site of work including finishing the bottom surface of the flooring with two coats of Plastic emulsion paint over one coat of emulsion primer (Asian/Berger/Dulux or equivalent) including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, transport, fuel, etc, complete. Note:1 The Cement Bonded particle board shall conform to IS 14276-1995 2. Actual area of Particle board fixed alone will be measured for payment purpose.

21) Supplying and fixing Vinyl flooring of 3 mm nominal thickness of superior approved quality over the Cement bonded particle board flooring with necessary adhesive all as per manufacturer’s specifications and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, transport, fuel, etc., complete.

22) Closing the openings in existing Deck slab a) Chipping / cutting the concrete around the opening till the reinforcements are exposed and stacking the debris within a lead of 50 m or as directed (for retransportation and disposal) all as per relevant specifications and as directed including all labour, tools, equipment, machinery, fuel etc., complete

22(b) Applying Epoxy bonding Coat (Nitobond EB or equivalent) on chipped concrete surface / on old concrete surface using short haired brush to receive new finish / micro concrete all as per manufacturer’s specifications and as directed including all materials, labour, brushes, tools, equipments, plants, transport, fuel etc., complete

22(c) Supplying,fabricating and placing new steel reinforcement (HYSD Fe 500D grade steel bars) of required dia and size similar to existing reinforcement and welded with the existing rebars conforming to relevant IS code all as per relevant specifications and as directed including handling, cutting including all materials, labour, tools, equipment, machinery,transport , fuel etc., complete

22(d) Preparing the surfaces of old / new reinforcement bars and applying two layers of zinc rich coating with each layer of 40 micron thickness, all as per relevant specifications and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipment, machinery, fuel etc., complete Note: Payment will be made only for actual surface area of reinforcement bars on which protective coating is applied.

22(e) Supplying, mixing and pouring/ pumping ready to use non-shrink, cementitious micro concrete (SikaRep Microcrete-4 of Sika India Pvt. Ltd. or its equivalent) for closing the openings in the deck slab, mixed with 3 mm to 12 mm graded cleaned, washed and saturated surface dry aggregates, mixing the compound with the aggregates in the mix proportion, conveying, pouring the micro-concrete, all as per manufacturer’s specifications and as directed including curing, providing scaffolding, all material, labour, tools, equipments, transport, fuel, etc., complete.

22(f) Providing wooden sacrificial shuttering using plywood of required size and thickness not less than 19 mm for concreting at the openings in deck slab all as per relevant specifications, and as directed including drilling holes on the deck slab , bolts & nuts, anchor fastners if any, all materials, labour, tools, equipment, machinery,transport, fuel, etc., complete Note: The rate includes using of boat or catamaran or pontoon if any for fixing the shuttering

23) Providing and laying Cement Concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for wearing coat over the existing deckslab ( Inside the shed), concrete bed in STP area and wherever required to the requied level and gradient all as per relevant Specificatins, drawings and as directed including shuttering, mixing, transporting,placing,vibrating curing etc.,including all materials, labour, side shuttering wherever required , plants, tools, equipment, transport, fuel etc., complete.

24) Providing and laying Cement Concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for RCC columns all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including shuttering, mixing, transporting placing, vibrating, curing etc., finishing the exposed concrete surfaces with CM.1;3, (1 cement : 3 fine river sand ) 6 to 10mm thick, including all materials, labour, scaffolding, plants, tools, equipment, transport, fuel etc., complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item.

25) Providing and laying cement concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for RCC Beams all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including centering / shuttering, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating and as directed including finishing the exposed surfaces with CM 1:3 (1 Cement : 3 fine river sand) to a thickness of 6 to 10mm, curing including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, machinery, fuel etc., complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item.. (a) For Staircase and water tank

26 a) Providing and laying cement concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for RCC floor slab for toilet at eastern side room all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including mixed with approved water proof compound as per Manufacturer's specification and including shuttering, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, curing, all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding,transport, fuel etc., complete. Note: 1)Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item. 2) Centering works for this item will not applicable since provision of sacrificial decking sheet made in item No.29 of BoQ.

26 b) Providing and laying cement concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for RCC water tank base and roof slab all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including mixed with approved water proof compound as per Manufacturer's specification and including shuttering,centering, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, curing, all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding,transport, fuel etc., complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item.

27) Providing and laying cement concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for RCC side walls of water tank all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including mixed with approved water proof compound as per Manufacturer's specification and including shuttering, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, curing including and all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, transport, fuel etc., complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item.

28)Providing and laying cement concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for RCC Staircase waist slab, landing slab, etc all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including centering, shuttering, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, curing and including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, transport, fuel etc., complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item.

29) Providing and erecting sacrificial G.I corrugated decking sheet (centering) of 1 mm nominal thick for toilet floor slab at eastern side rooms having allowable load carrying capacity 600kg/sqm with minimum weight 9.98kg/sqm and also 275gsm G.I Coating, profile shall be around depth of 44mm to 55mm including providing and fixing M.S Studs to structural beams and extra supports while concreting, etc all asper relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, welding, transport ,fuel etc., complete.

30)Providing and laying cement concrete of M30 Grade using River sand for RCC Kitchen platform 75mm thick all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including centering/shuttering, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, curing including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, etc., complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item

35)Providing and laying M30 grade concrete using River sand for R.C.C Precast lintel in the existing wall and wherever required (including making provision for dowel rods for sunshades) including form work, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating and finishing the exposed surfaces with CM 1:3 (1 Cement : 3 fine river sand) to a thickness of 6 to 10mm, curing including lifting and placing in position ,all as per relevant specifications , drawings,and as directed, including all materials, labour, tools, equipment,scaffolding, strutting, transport, fuel etc. complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement and dowel rods for sunshades will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item.

36)Providing and laying M30 grade concrete using River sand for R.C.C in-situ lintel in the proposed new walls and wherever required, including centering, shuttering, mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating and finishing the exposed surfaces with CM 1:3 (1 Cement : 3 fine river sand) to a thickness of 6 to 10mm, curing all as per relevant specifications ,drawings and as directed , including all materials, labour, tools, equipment, transport, fuel,scaffolding etc. complete. Note: Providing Steel reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevant item.

37)Providing and laying M30 grade concrete using River sand for RCC Sunshade including centering, shuttering, mixing, transporting, placing, compacting and finishing the exposed surfaces with CM 1:3 (1 Cement : 3 fine river sand) to a thickness of 6 to 10mm, curing all as per relevant specifications, drawings and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, transport, fuel etc., complete. 38) Supplying, and fabricating TMT Fe 500D bars conforming to IS 1786 for reinforcement and placing in position for all RCC members, Concrete bed in STP area all as shown in the drawing including handling, cutting, bending and tying with 1.25 mm dia black annealed steel binding wire all as directed including reinforcement steel, binding wire and other materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, etc., complete. Note: The rate shall be inclusive of cost of steel, binding wire and fabrication charge etc.,complete

39) Preparing the wall surfaces & wherever required, and providing plaster in cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement:5 fine river sand) 12 mm thick to the required finish, curing all as per relevant specification, drawings and as directed, including all materials,, labour, scaffolding, tools, equipments, etc., complete.

40)Preparing the new concrete surfaces of water tank and providing plaster in cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement:3 fine river sand) 12 mm thick mixed with approved water proofing compound (as per Manufacturer's specification) to the required finish, curing all as per relevant specification, drawings and as directed, including all materials, labour, scaffolding, tools, equipments, etc., complete.

41)Providing and laying Grano flooring 40 mm thick in the terrace of western side rooms in mix 1:2:4 (1 cement: 2 coarse river sand: 4 hard granite graded stone aggregate 12mm nominal size) in volumetric proportions mixed with water proof compound (as per Manufacture's specification) including mixing, transporting, placing, and finishing the surfaces with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement:3 fine river sand) 20 mm thick, curing all as specified and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, plants equipments, scaffolding, etc., complete

42)Providing and fixing in position good quality Country Wood (Padauk or equivalent ) wrought Main frames of size 95mm x 58 mm for doors with necessary M.S.hold fasts / clamps fixed suitably to the masonry / concrete including cutting pockets and grouting with Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement: 3 coarse river sand: 6 hard granite graded stone aggregate of 20mm nominal size) in volumetric proportions, curing including painting with one coat of boiling coal tar paint on the portions of timber abutting against masonry / concrete all as per relevant specifications, drawing and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding etc., complete.

43) Providing and fixing in position Good quality country wood (Padauk or equivalent) fully panelled single leaf door shutter with 32 mm thick country wood styles including top rail, bottom rail, lock rail etc., with country wood panels of 16mm thick all as per drawing, relevant specifications and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments etc., complete. Note: Necessary fixtures like butt hinges, tower bolts, etc., will be paid under relevant item of this schedule.

44)Providing and fixing anodized aluminium sections for Main and Shutter Frames of sliding window with Handles, locking and sliding arrangements (PVC wheels) with extruded built up standard sections approved make ( HINDAL /JINDAL or equivalent) as available in the market, anodized in bronze or chocolate brown (Matt finish) or any other approved colour and shade and finish, according to IS 1868 (minimum anodized quoting of Grade AC 15), with all accessories like snap on beading (clips), cleat angles, fully threaded 75mm long metal screws, all other screws, and wooden plugs, etc., including drilling holes wherever required all as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, transport, fuel, etc., complete. Note :1. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust-free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required 2. Refer Sl. No 2.57

45)Providing and fixing anodized aluminium hollow sections for main frame of doors and ventilators with extruded built up standard sections of approved make HINDAL / JINDAL or equivalent make) as available in the market, anodized in bronze or chocolate brown (Matt finish) or any other approved colour and shade and finish, according to IS 1868 (minimum anodized quoting of Grade AC 15) including supplying and fixing necessary accessories like anodised aluminium snap on beading (clips), anodised aluminium cleat angles, fully threaded 75mm long metal screws, all other screws C.P. brass screws, wooden plugs, etc., including drilling holes in the concrete, brick masonry etc., wherever required all as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments, scaffolding, transport, fuel, etc., complete. Note: 1) The rate shall be inclusive of items like necessary anodized aluminium cleat angles, C.P.brass / stainless steel screws, wooden plugs, rawl plugs/expansion hold fasteners used for fixing frames etc. 2)Refer Sl. 46)Providing and fixing anodized aluminium sections for Shutter frames of doors with extruded built up standard sections of approved make (HINDAL /JINDAL or equivalent) as available in the market, anodized in bronze or chocolate brown (Matt finish) or any other approved colour and shade and finish, according to IS 1868 (minimum anodized quoting of Grade AC 15), with necessary accessories like snap on beading (clips), cleat angles,fully threaded 75 mm long metal screws, C.P. brass screws, anodised aluminium push plates 100mm wide both sides fixed with G.I. Bolts and nuts, metal screws, concealed locking arrangements, woollen felt, wherever required to facilitate fixing of fittings, all as shown in the drawing and as directed including all materials, labour, tools, equipments etc., complete. Note: 1. Necessary fixtures like butt hinges, tower bolts, etc., will be paid under relevant item of this schedule. 2.Refer Sl. No 2.57

Note for Sl.No 2.54,2.55 & 2.56 1. The Aluminium sections made out of aluminium alloy corresponding to IS733 2.In case the contractor wants to adopt different sections other than the sections furnished in the drawing, he is free to do so, provided the same is from the standard manufacturer. In such an event the variation in the weight of the individual unit shall however be within (+) or (-) 10% of the weight of the sections ( Standard Unit) furnished in the drawing. However payment will be be made for the actual weight of the indidual unit and in case the unit weight weighs more than the standard unit, the payment will be restricted to the variation limit indicated above.
