A. Steel Floating Pontoon
Supply, fabricate, transport, handle and erect in position of structural steel shapes, plates, special plates with through thickness quality and built up sections in pontoon confirming to S355/JO Grade steel (or equivalent approved Indian Grade IS 2062 E350) including profile cutting, assembling, hoisting, fixing in position, welding, inspection and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer and top coat of minimum thickness as specified in the specifications and drawings including cost of all materials, fitting charges, all labour charges, transportation charges and minor tools etc. complete. The cost shall include all fabrication, transportation of the pontoon assembly, minor equipment, Installation of Pontoon and all labour charges etc complete. Following clauses apply to the floating pontoon fabrication.
1. All Fabrication, Welding, Cutting bending of plates on site to be as per BS 5400 Part 6 / AWS D1.1 and relevant classification society (IRS/ABS/BV etc.) rules etc. including surveying/ supervision of fabrication and obtaining certification from classification society (IRS/ABS/BV etc.).
2. All tests on materials + Welds (Ultrasonic, dye penetration for welds + Water tightness test).
3. Payment under this item will paid at 50% pontoon manufacturing, 30% for transportation to site or installation at site and balance after testing, 3rd party certification and successful commissioning at site.

Supply, fabricate, transport, handle and erect in position of guide pin piles made of Structural steel tubular members of 1000mm diameter conforming to API 5L Grade X52 or its equivalent and including profile cutting, assembling, hoisting, fixing in position, welding, inspection and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer and top coat of minimum thickness as specified in the specifications and drawings including cost of all materials, fitting charges, all labour charges, transportation charges and minor tools etc. complete. The cost shall include all fabrication, transportation of the pontoon assembly, minor equipment and all labour charges etc complete.
Supplying, fabrication & erection of steel cylindrical liners of 8 mm thickness of M.S. plate to the required depth including providing additional stiffener plate (12mm thick and 300mm high) as shown in the drawing including gas cutting, bending to required size, welding at yard & at site, welding, transportation, driving of liners with necessary equipment, all labour, materials, tools, equipment fuel etc. complete. The quantity of liner shall be measured and paid upto required cut off level. However contractor has to built the liner 1 m above cut off level etc complete
Handling of MS liner, transporting to the pile location, placing in position and driving the liner below existing sea bed level to the required depth (the depth shall be as specified in the construction drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer in-charge or Authority Engineer) for vertical piles for each pile location for Pontoon piles including cost of welding, cutting, aligning, hire charges of all machineries, equipment, all labour charges, consumables and minor tools etc. complete.
Boring for the piles to the required depth through all types of soil strata including cemented sand, boulder layers up to the founding level and stacking the bored soil at convenient place and transported to the low lying area anywhere inside /outside the harbour area within a lead of 4 Km or as directed by the Engineer’s representative and pile shaft cleaning and keeping of all records etc. including bentonite solution, labour, tools, equipment, fuel etc. all as per drawing, specification etc complete as directed. (Pile dia 1000mm)
Boring for the piles to the required depth through all types of rock strata including, weathered rock and hard rock if any upto the founding level and stacking the bored soil at convenient place and transported to the low lying area anywhere inside /outside the harbour area within a lead of 4 Km or as directed by the Engineer’s representative and pile shaft cleaning and keeping of all records etc. including bentonite solution (where ever required), labour, tools, equipment, fuel etc..all as per drawing, specification complete as directed. (Pile dia 1000mm).
Providing and laying design mix concrete of RCC M40 grade in accordance with IS 456 (Latest Edition) using coarse aggregate, sand and 53 grade Ordinary Portland cement confirming to IS 455 for RCC piles by using tremie with hopper arrangements, excluding cost of fabrication, fixing of reinforcement, centering and shuttering, which will be paid separately, but including cost of cement, stone chips, sand, cost of all labour charges, mixing, conveying, placing, consolidation, screening and washing of coarse aggregate and sand, transportation charges of all materials to the Work Site, hire charges and running charges of batching plant, vibrator, consumables and all other equipment, cost of minor tools etc. complete. (The design mix shall be provided by the contractor from the approved laboratory of Govt. of India).
Dressing / chipping of the RCC pile head of including cutting of steel liners & trimming of extra concreted pile above the designed cut off level and exposing the reinforcement to receive fresh concrete for beams, bracing, pile caps etc., bending the reinforcement for new works, cost of all equipment, all labour charges, minor tools etc. complete.
Providing and placing in-situ concrete of grade M40 for deck slab,pile muffs and beams including all design mix, sampling, testing, records and all labour, materials tools, equipment, fuel, curing, etc.. complete. The concrete mix design using Ordinary Portland Cement ( OPC ) of 53 grade etc complete.
Supplying , cutting and bending & placing of TMT Fe 500 grade reinforcement steel for Pontoon steel piles including welding, binding, with binding wire as per drawing, technical specification and including all labour, materials, tools, transport cage lowering, equipment, fuel etc.. complete. However reinforcement including lapping shall be paid as per Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) approved by engineering incharge. No payment shall be made for required chairs, binding wire, welding wherever required.
Supplying, cutting and bending & placing of TMT Fe 500 grade Deck reinforcement steel for pile muffs,beams and slabs including welding, binding, with binding wire as per drawing, technical specification and including all labour, materials, tools, transport cage lowering, equipment, fuel etc.. complete. However reinforcement including lapping shall be paid as per Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)approved by engineering incharge. No payment shall be made for required chairs, binding wire , welding wherever required.
Supply, and provide manpower for Non-skid Painting on the deck surfaces of pontoon of suitable specification including tools, equipment, manpower, material etc all inclusive etc complete. Antiskid finish shall be minimum 5.5mm Nominal Thickness using Cicol NT Slurry by ROCOL UK (or equivalent approved make) + 5.0mm compatible aggregate on top surface of the pontoon.
B. STEEL LINKSPAN (Steel Bridge)
Supply, fabricate, transport, handle and erect in position of Link span made of Structural steel tubular members of any diameter conforming to API 5L Grade X52 and API 2H grade 50 for through thickness tubulars or its equivalent and/or shapes, plates, anchor bolts and built up sections conforming to IS 2062 E350 including profile cutting, assembling, hoisting, fixing in position, welding, inspection and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer and top coat of minimum thickness as specified in the specifications and drawings including cost of all materials, fitting charges, all labour charges, transportation charges and minor tools etc. complete. The cost shall include all fabrication, transportation of the Link span, lifting using floating crafts and cranes, erection, installation of the bridge in position and fixing on the concrete structure with appropriate sliding and pin arrangement etc complete.

D. Berthing Facilities
