Earth Work

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in-charge: All kinds of soil.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

Earth filling in Plinth under floors Campus Brought from out side and laying in 20cm layers ramming watering and consolidation complete in all respect in all leads.

Concrete Work

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:5:10(1 Cement : 5 coarse sand : 10 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size)

Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.

Providing and applying Wall painting with plastic emulsion paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade: Two or more coats on new work

Providing and fixing of ‘Unistone’ or equivalent Glass Reinforced Concrete (G.R.C) Wall Cladding Tiles in approved design, size, texture, thickness, pattern and color. The thickness of the tiles should range between 12 to 18 mm (depending on the texture of the tile), allowing variance of ±2 mm in accordance with IS: 1237‐1980. The composition of tiles should be ‘43’ Grade White Portland cement, reinforced with Alkali Resistant Glass Fiber and the pigmentation should be done with exterior grade synthetic inorganic iron oxide pigments manufactured by ‘BAYFERROX (Germany)’ or equivalent. The pigmentation should be homogeneous and in accordance with British Standards BS EN 12878:1999. The other additives should be fine washed graded quartz, super plasticizers and integrated water proofing agents and others. The tiles should be produced with high vibration technology and should have compressive strength equivalent to M‐40 Grade@28 days. The top surface of the tiles should be sealed with acrylic lacquer resulting in surface water absorption of tiles, less than 1% and water absorption by 24 hrs immersion method, less than 8%. The tiles should be applied on a rough plaster of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) and the fixing of tiles should be done by ‘Unistone’ tile adhesive or equivalent as per manufacturer’s laying instruction.

Joinery Work

Providing wood work in frames of doors, windows, clerestory windows and other frames, wrought framed and fixed in position with hold fast lugs or with dash fasteners of required dia & length ( hold fast lugs or dash fastener shall be paid for separately). Sal wood (FOR ENTRY DOOR AND FLUSH DOOR )

Providing 40x5 mm flat iron hold fast 40 cm long including fixing to frame with 10 mm diameter bolts, nuts and wooden plugs and embedding in cement concrete block 30x10x15cm 1:3:6 mix (1 cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size).

Probvidng and fixing entrance decorative panelled door shutter (37.5 mm thick ) made out of 6"x1 1/2" styles for vertical and horizontal members as per detailed drawing . There shall be 12 mm BWP teak ply wood fixed into the styles with teak wood beading of size 1 1/4" x3/4" . There shall be decorative ornamental work on the style with copper metal/ brass metal carving . The handle of the doors shutter shall be 18" long 1 1/2" dia pipe fixed with necessary screws and accessories .The rate shall also included providing and finishing the complete door with Melamine polish upto the entire satisfaction of the architect . Providing and fixing of fully fixed using 10 mm thick nutral 40 plus Gurdian/Asahi India Glass Ltd (AIS) / Saint Gobain toughened glass as per the elevation, section and the plan drawings provided, fabricated out of heavy duty aluminium extruded profiles conforming to alloy 63400 WP with chemical composition and mechanical properties as per IS-733; semi unitized structural system using appropriate profiles of Mullion, Transom, along with structural Sealant Dow Corning DC983 and Norton V21100/Pentagon/Dow 790U open cell form with shore 'A' hardness 35 to 40 double adhesive tape with weather sealant. The minimum size of the Mullion 166.01 mmX 67mmX3 mm and Transom 131.16 mm X67mm X 2 mm .All profiles with natural colour anodising in AC-25 grade or pure polyster powder coating or approved shade with 65 micron thick as per specifications. The glazings shall be designed for a specific wind pressure 150 Kg/m2. The wind pressure mentioned is indicative given below.

However theoretical values of wind pressure shall be evaluated by contractor for design considerations. The contractor must design the curtain wall glazings as per the prevalent site conditions and building profiles. No extra claims shall be entertained at any stage for aluminium profile wall thickness and size dimensions. The contractor must quote rates accordingly. The contractor must provide details of structural calculations of the mullion/ Transom or additional reinforcements with mullion/transoms (if required) optimization of dimension of mullion, transom, and also details of any other profiles that may be used- clearly indicating all dimensions, wall thickness and weight - Kg/m.

The anchoring/bracing of the structural wall glazings to the RCC slab /beams/ columns shall be done with non-corrosive galvanised brackets of approved design, (Galvanizing to be done conforming to 13:4759-1996 upto 61 Ogms. Per sqm (80-90 micron thickness ) with two numbers on each beam, including providing PVC spacers between the aluminium Mullion member and Bracket (including providing and fixing of aluminium shims of various thickness to adjust the beam level/ line variations) with dash fasteners and stainless steel bolt to provide a minimum anchoring depth of 50-80 mm, in the concrete and to withstand the dead load of the curtain wall as well as stresses due to wind pressure etc. Pull out load calculations are essentially required for S.S Fasteners and shall be demonstrated. The glazing framework shall be aligned for the entire height of each Mullion and for the entire width of each Transom by laser beam equipment to ensure 100 per cent *X* axis and 'Y' axis alignment . The glazing framework shall be provided with approved in-built ventilation and drainage system by overlapping the transom Member on the Mullion member and the entire joint must be properly sealed with weather silicon to make the joint water tight. The details for in-built ventilation and water drainage system with drainage arrow diagram to be submitted by the contractor and got approved by the ARCHITECT.

The expansion joints between two Mullion at every beam level should be created by inserting 300mm long expansion sleeve tube of 6mm wall thickness and bolted with the main mullion member in such a manner that bolting is not causing hindrance in thermal expansion and the expansion joint gap should be minimum 10mm to maximum 20mm. The expansion joint must be properly sealed all around with weather sealant to make it water tight. The details for the expansion joint to be submitted by the contractor and got approved by the ARCHITECT. The system should also provide for pressure equalization theory with complete details. The details for pressure equalization to be submitted by the contractor and got approved by the ARCHITECT. Details of glass cutting Schedule with appropriate Coding (location wise must be submitted so that contiguration & Plans are not moshed up.

Providing and laying water proofing treatment in sunken portion of toilets , bathroom etc., by applying cement slurry mixed with water proofing cement compound consisting of applying : (a) First layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 kg/sqm mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.253 kg/ sqm. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours. (b) Second layer of slurry of cement @ 0.242 kg/sqm mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.126 kg/sqm. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours followed with water curing for 48 hours. The rate includes preparation of surface, treatment and sealing of all joints, corners, junctions of pipes and masonry with polymer mixed slurry.

Providing and laying integral cement based water proofing treatment including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc consisting of following operations: (a) Applying a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg/sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS. 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge over the RCC slab including adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. (b) Laying brick bats with mortar using broken bricks/brick bats 25 mm to 115 mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge over 20 mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:5 (1 cement :5 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs. (c) After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry using 2.75 kg/ sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineerin-charge.

Making khurras 45x45 cm with average minimum thickness of 5 cm cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size) over P.V.C. sheet 1 m x1 m x 400 micron, finished with 12 mm cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and a coat of neat cement, rounding the edges and making and finishing the outlet complete.

Applying priming coat: With ready mixed pink or Grey primer of approved brand and manufacture on wood work (hard and soft wood)

Providing. supplying , fabricated and fixing panels of wood polymer composite panel of size SN156W21 i.e. 156 mm wide and 21 mm total thickness and length 2900 mm as shown in drawings. The colourand patteren of the WPC panels shall be( wenge dark brown wood color ) or approved by architecht . The reputed brands for WPC shall be Stration Composites or Model Marcopolo Ultra .The WCP panels shall confirm to EN15534-1,6.1 , 6.6.2 , EN15534-1 , 7.1.2.1 , EN 15534-1,8.1 ISO 4892-2 , EN 15534-1 9.2 ISO 11359-2 , EN15534-1, 9.3 , EN 15534-1, 7.4.1 for its color appearance , thickness , width and length , falling mass impact resistance , heat Reversion etc . These panels shall be fixed with aluminium sections of size 25mmx37.5 mm filled with wooden packing to hold screws and then fixed to the main structure members .
