RequiredThe bidder whose quoted offer is below the amount put to tender exclusive of GST, the contractor shall furnish the additional performance security, APS in the form of DD/BankerCheque/FDR in favour of EE,KBJNL,NRBC Divn.6,Chikkahonnakuni, payable at Devadurga. The scanned copy of the APS shall be uploaded in the e-proc. Theoriginal copy of the DD/BankerCheque/FDR for APS should be furnished before opening of the tender upto 11AM on the date of opening of the bid. Otherwise bid may be rejected.

RequiredTo qualify for award of the respective contract each tenderer in his name should have in the last five year period i.e., from 2020-21 to 2024-25, Achieved in at least Two financial years a minimum financial turnover in all classes of civil engineering construction works only of value usually not less than the estimated cost under this contract for works.

RequiredThe intending bidder should have satisfactorily completed not less than 90percent of the contract value as prime contractor, at least one similar work i.e., Manufacture or Repair of Gates of Irrigation works such as Dam/Barrage/Canal works only value not less than 50percent of the amount put to tender of Rs.1.70Lakhs during the last five years from 2020-21 to 2024-25. The Work Done Certificates should be obtained duly signed from an officer not below the rank of EE of the concerned Dvn.

Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

Bidders shall ensure upload of relevant document certifying his/her status as Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/other reserved category as prescribed in the tender document.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

The intending bidders are advised to visit the site of work, make themselves familiar with local situation about the availability of construction materials, work men, land required for construction activities, etc., before submission of bids.

The contractor should adhere to the time period specified for completion of work, under any circumstances without linking to the pending payment of the work & also Land acquisition problems if any.

Typographical errors, if any will not be the ground for any claims by the Contractor.

All materials like steel, cement etc., required for the above work should be procured by the contractor only. No departmental supply of any material shall be made by KBJNL.

The amount put to tender is exclusive of GST. The contractor should bid based on this amount (excluding GST). But GST shall be paid to the quoted percentage plus or minus on estimates prepared prevailing at the time of sanctioned and 18 percent GST is added to the amount as mentioned. Further the increase in GST shall not be paid in the extended period of contract for which the contractor alone is responsible for delay as determined by the authority while granting the extension of time.

The intending bidder should note that, as the tender invited is on percentage basis, if the bid amount based on the percentage quoted by the contractor is less than the amount put to tender, the contractor shall submit the additional performance security amount equal to the difference between the amount put to tender and quoted amount in any form as per security deposit clause mentioned in the tender document. In case of contractor quotes the rates above 125% of the estimated rates, then the amount over and above 125% will be withheld during the progress of work. The additional performance security will be released proportionately to the bill amount till the contractor achieves progress of entire work as per agreement.

Within 5 days of receipt of the Letter of Acceptance, the successful Tenderer shall deliver to the Employer a Security deposit for an amount equivalent to 5 % of the Contract amount exclusive of GST.

Prior to awarding of work the Lowest (L-1) bidder should produce the original documents in support of the uploaded documents to enter in to the agreement. If the lowest bidder (L-1) does not produce the original documents for entering into an agreement then his bid can be treated nonresponsive bid as per Clause 26(4) of the KTPP Rules. The name of the bidder who does not produce the original documents shall be barred from participation in any of the tenders to be invited by KBJNL apart from forfeiting the EMD paid through e-cash.

The additional performance security will be released proportionately to the bill amount till the contractor achieves progress of entire work as per agreement.
