SUPPLY OF PIPING ITEMS:
FOR U/G PIPING:
"Supply , taking over" as defined in the specifications, handling, loading/unloading, transportation, unloading and Laying of bare/coated line pipes and other materials like valve, fittings, flanges & TPI inspection etc. from Contractors suppliers locations/works etc. to Contractor's stock yard/workshop/work-site including preliminary activities, preparation of drawings, wherever required for crossing etc. Handling, stacking, stringing of the UG pipes, Carrying out inspection of materials including line pipes at the time of laying/ installation of line pipes, associated valves, tees, insulating joints, flanges & fittings for buried application of all sizes, thickness & ANSI class rating and accessories as per specification wherever required depending on site condition.Arrangement of all additional lands required for Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction, etc. procurement and supply of all materials, consumables, equipment, labour and other inputs, carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works, etc.

Excavation of trenches for pipelines in all kinds of soil including soft and hard rock mixed in nature both dry and wet conditions including dressing of sides and bottom getting out excavated material in the approved dump yard in all leads of 100 meter including spreding and leveling as per instruction of owner/Consultant.

COATING AND WRAPPING OF UNDERGROUND PIPING:
Supply & Application of all Cold Tape type coating and wrapping materials, manpower, equipments, consumables and necessary arrangements for surface preparation and application shall be in the scope of Contractor. Surface cleaning and preparation shall consist of cleaning and degreasing by Grit / Shot blasting and or power scraping, using most suitable method or a combination therefore, both followed by carefully removal of the dust according to the specification ISO 8501-1: 1988 SA 2.5. The coating continuity shall be visually 100% checked by electric Holiday detector to detect and search of particles and other inclusion, pinholes, cavities, cracks and other ruptures. All defects visually detected or by Holiday detector shall be clearly marked and all defects in the coating shall be made good immediately after their inspection.

Supply & Application of paints and primers as per PDIL TS-2001/Drawings/docs, preparation of surfaces and application of primer and finish paints, identification (Line numbering), lettering, colour bands, colour coding etc. as specified including rubdown and touch up of shop primer wherever required, providing scaffolding for all heights, labour, material, tools and tackles, consumables supervision etc. to complete the work in all respects, drawings and direction of Engineer-in-Charge for all types of uninsulated piping and insulated piping as specified including all pipes, fittings, flanges, supports, valves etc. Surface preparation by blast cleaning and application of first coat of primer (inorganic zinc silicate) shall be done in fabrication yard prior to erection. For insulated piping wherever blast cleaning with no primer application is specified, in such cases finish paints shall also be applied in the fabrication yard. The identification marks of the piping and joints shall be noted before blasting and the same shall be transferred on primed surface with Polyurethane paint or as per the instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: 1. All joints (fabrication as well as erection joints) shall be left unpainted till hydrotesting. 2. No extra payment shall be made for identification (line numbering etc.) of insulated and uninsulated lines.

The cable entry in the boxes shall be as per hazardous area classification using double compression glands or through a bend installed in the foundation of the junction box. Permanent Reference Cells (Cu-CuSO4): Supply and Installation of Permanent Reference Electrodes of approved make with all its accessories to ensure trouble free operation. Installation of permanent half cells including connecting the cable in the Junction Box/Test Station etc. with cable lugs, sealing material, laying of cable, testing& commissioning of cell etc. all complete with required material, excavation, backfilling etc. as per specifications, recommendation of cell supplier and directions of Site Engineer / Engineer-in-Charge.
