Rebound hammer test to assess the strength parameters, uniformity of concrete strictly as per S: 516 (Part 5/Sec 4) using with other relevant codes with plotting of histogram as well as normal distribution graph. The Proceed calibrated Schmidt hammer shall be used for testing purpose.

Ultrasonic pulse velocity test for ascertaining the quality of concrete, uniformity of concrete in terms of soundness and density of concrete as per IS: 516 (Part 5/Sec 1). The Pundit lab or Pundit plus calibrated equipment shall be used for testing purpose. The preferably direct testing on the structural members shall be carried out.

Half-cell potential testing & analysis: for ascertaining the probability of corrosion of reinforcing steel etc. as per IS: 516 (Part 5/Sec 2)

Corrosion Analyzer:- Corrosion rate, loss of section size Steel: Identification of deterioration of steel members/joist/piping system of the existing structure by using corrosion analyzer equipment

Chemical analysis of concrete powder collected from the structure or concrete core sample/ by drilling to understand the deterioration of structure due to chemical attack and its effect on reinforcement corrosion with evaluation of the following parameters. a) Water Soluble Chloride Content % (by of mass of concrete) to check the risk of corrosion due to present chloride % as per IS: 14959 (Part 2)– 2001, B.S. 5328 Part 1, ACI 201.2R-92, BS 1881 Part 124:1988, BS 8110, IS 456:2000 b) pH Value (to check alkalinity of concrete) as per relevant B.S. 5328, ACI 201.2R-92 and ACI-318-99, IS 456:2000, BS 8110 c) Acid Soluble Sulphate Content % (by of mass of cement) to check risk of column buckling (due to volume increment of concrete) as per relevant BS 5328 code, BS 1881 Part 124:1988, BS 8110,IS 456:2000

Data analysis, investigation and interpretation for the report submission with Interpretation and Recommendation: Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data, interpretation of results, conclusions and final recommendations along with sketch indicating the location of the test. Recommendation part does not include the repair scheme/DPR or BOQ related to the project. The data analysis report shall be verified by the CSIR-CBRI.

BOQ, repairing methodology and retrofitting scheme for structural serviceability and safety, periodic maintenance scheme, futuristic protection of structure including repair drawings etc. The recommendation for structural repair and rehabilitation to the structures shall have detailed technical specifications, materials to be used , vulnerability indices and order of urgency to repair. The BOQ/ DPR shall be as per CPWD latest DSR and specification. The structural drawings with complete RCC details, section sizes and steel percentage by using Profometer or GPR based scanner, it will give detailed cover depth and existing protecting layer of steel rebar, diameter of steel etc. including repair/rehabilitation/ strengthening drawings vetted by the CSIR-CBRI Roorkee
