RENEWAL/REPLACEMENT OF UNSERVICEABLE WINDOWS IN MARRIED ACCN UNDER GE (SOUTH) BATHINDA AT BATHINDA MIL STN

Material & Labour for taking down existing windows , making good with plastering/ rendering etc. around the finished opening of the disturbed surface with cement mortar 1:4 and finished with existing finishes as directed by Engineer-in- charge and Providing and fixing of factory made uPVC white colour Double Rebate Casement Window including glass & mesh of area exceeding 1.00 Sqm and not exceeding 2.00 sqm each window made of extruded profiles of high impact modified grade manufactured from Tropicalized Blend with TiO2 and required additives, colorfast & being able to withsatand a weather resistance test of 16000 hrs on weathering apparatus, resistant to chemicals, and be fungal and vermin proof. The uPVC profile should be classed as self extinguishing to prevent support or enchancement of accidental fires. Extruded profile duly reiniforced with minimum 120 gsm zinc coated GI of 1.5mm to 2.5mm thickness to meet the wind load requirement on sash/mulilion and fitted in continuous length in closed chamber of required length (shape and size according to uPVC profile design). The internal drainage shall be isolated from chambers into which reinforcement can be placed or through which frame fixing passes. Drainage shall be either through the base or alternatively to the face, concealed by face drainage caps. uPVC systems must be fabricated with fusion welded corners and uPVC extruded glazing beads of appropriate dimensions with EPDM/TPE Gaskets. All hardware fitted must be of stainless steel, multipoint espag, plastic packers, plastic caps & necessary stainless steel screws, except handles to be of Zinc/Al alloy casted with powder coated, GI fasteners 100mm x 8mm size for fixing frame to wall. Outer frame of windows 118mm x 58mm , Glass sash 65mm x 80mm , Mesh sash 30mm x 82mm consisting of multi chambered frame, sash & mullion/transom (wherever required), The sizes of the sections indicated are minimum and no additional cost shall be claimed for use of higher sections due to design considerations. The profile of the frame shall be suitable to install and fix mild steel safety grill. The wall thickness of the profile shall be minimum 1.8 to 2.3 ± 0.2mm. The sheet glass shall be toughened of thickness 5mm. The wire mesh shall be of stainless steel stainless 0.36mm nominal dia of wire and average width of aperature 1.40 mm. After fixing the frame the gap between the frame and adjacent finished wall shall apply Silicon sealant to make joint, water proof of approved quality. There would be a conditional warranty of minimum 10 years on profile & 02 years on hardware from the date of completion. The uPVC system must be installed by profile manufacturer or their authorised agents only complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in- charge. (Note :- The rate of 5mm thick toughened glass for glazing and stainless steel wire mesh cloth 0.36mm nominal dia of wire and average width of aperature 1.40 mm is included in this item and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. Material and labour 18-20mm thick machine cut, Udaipur / Baroda green marble duly factory grinding and polished (table rubbed and polished) of approved colour for window cills/jambs laid over with and including screed bed 15mm thick in cement mortar (1:4) (grey cement slurry) including pointing in white cement (1:2) using marble dust with admiture of pigment to match with shade of green marble slab including cutting as required including cleaning and extra polishing, rounding the outer edges complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for Mild steel work for Framed work such as grills, gratings, etc.. with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted, or forged into spikes; framed guard bars; barred iron doors; ladders; framed balusters; walk ways; railings; framework of water tanks and similar work conforming to Fe.290.Gde-E-165 complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for prepartion of new steel surfaces of any description, over 10cm in width or girth,not otherwise described and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- charge

Note for Serial item No. 1.00 ,2.00 & 3.00 of BoQ:- 1. All old unservicable material obtained from serial item No.1.00 ,2.00 & 3.00 shall be deposited in the store yard of concerned AGE B/R of GE South Bathinda by the contractor at his own arrangment as directed by Engineer -in-charge. Nothing shall be paid extra to contractor on this account.
