De-silting the Adayar river mouth and dumping the de-silted sand towards the northern side of the Adayar river mouth for sand nourishment during the month of May to June 2024 in Chennai District.

Amount

Desilting / Removal of sand bar accumulated (as per NIOT study report co-ordinates specified in shore and Sea) in order to have a easy exchange to discharge the flood water into sea during flood season using special machineries like dredger along with cutter suction having a minimum capacity of 300 Cum solids per hour which can dredge to a maximum depth of 2.0m and dispose the dredged materials to a maximum distance of 2 Kms on the Northern side of Adayar River for sand nourishment, as per the prevailing site conditions for easy conveyance and including jungle clearance etc., by pumping opertaion along with suitable pipe line & other required accessories with other mechanical devices for the entire stretch to reach the bank. The rates including cost of transportation, mobilization and demobilization of machinery, hire charges, cost of fuel, labour charges for surveying and operation of dredger crew and other related works etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers. The volume of dredging quantity will be calculated based on the Pre level and Post level by conducting Echo Sound Testing and the cost of testing is inclusive of quoted rate.

Hiring the Dozer (D-50-A15) on used hour basis for rehandling and depositing the desilted sand on the Northern side of river mouth and levelling the site etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers

Hiring the Poclain Ex-200 on used hour basis for removal of accumulated sea sand in Adayar River mouth, etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.
