Labour for cutting open road for laying water mains or sewer. B.T. Roads (or) Maccadam road (WD-W0739)

Earthwork excavation and depositing on bank with initial lead of 10m and lift of 2M in narrow trenches having bed width 1.25m & below for laying of pipes for water supply and sewerage works in the following type of soils as directed by Departmental officers. Hard stiff clay, stiff black cotton, hard red earth, shales, murram gravel, stoney earth and earth mixed with small size boulders and hard gravelly soil.SS20B

Refilling the trenches with excavated earth including watering and consolidation as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Barricading work (Where, there is less traffic areas and broader roads etc.) for laying of pipe line using casurina poles at 1.50m center to center (8cm to 10cm dia and 1.80m height) vertical with horizontal poles in three rows including painting the vertical poles in the road facing sides with ready mix paint, tying the vertical and horizontal poles with coir rope including fixing charges and fixing 75mm dia reflectors including earth work excavation for fixing vertical posts and finally removing and stacking the materials safely for further use etc., complete and as directed by TWAD Board officers.(WD-W0936 pg-209)

Supply and Delivery of Pipes

200mm SN8-SDR 34 (S 16.5) DIA UN PLASTICIZED NON - PRESSURE POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC- U) PIPES FOR USE IN UNDERGROUND DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE SYSTEMS as per IS 15328/2003

Lowering PVC/ DWSC rigid pipes and specials to trench and laying to proper grade and alignment, jointing with PVC couplers with cement paste.

(II) MANHOLES

Construction of RCC Manholes (RCC 1:1½:3) of different depths as per the type design / drawing on sewer line and provided with tight fitting manhole frames and covers of 600mm dia of approved make and with provision of encapsulated PVC foot rests. Benching, channeling should be provided in the manhole and suitable diameter of pipes for House service connection (Not exceeding 6 Nos. for each manhole) to be left in the manholes as directed by the Engineer in-charge. The rate shall include earthwork, backfilling and de-watering wherever necessary, barricading, provision for danger lights etc., complete.

Construction of Brick Manholes of different depths as per the type design / drawing on sewer line and provided with tight fitting manhole covers of 600mm dia of approved make and provision of encapsulated PVC foot rests. The manhole shall be of brickwork (with approved Second Class Ground Moulded Chamber Burnt Bricks 9"x4½"x3") in CM 1:5 (one cement five M-sand) and plastered with CM 1:3 (one cement three P-sand), 20mm thick inside and 12mm thick outside as per type design. Benching, channeling should be provided in the manhole and suitable diameter of pipes for House service connection (Not exceeding 6 Nos. for each manhole) to be left in the manholes as directed by the Engineer in-charge. The rate shall include earthwork, backfilling and de-watering wherever necessary, barricading, provision for danger lights etc., complete.

Earthwork excavating for Sectioning and Levelling and depositing on bank with initial lead of 10m & initial lift of 2m in Sand, Silt or other Loose Soil, Wet Sand or Silt not under water, Light Black Cotton Soil, Sandy Loam and Ordinary Soil including excavated earth etc., complete complying with standard specification (SS20B).

Plain Cement concrete in 1:5:10 [one cement, five M-sand and ten course aggregate] using 40mm size Hard Broken/Machine crushed Granite Stone Jelly including dewatering if found necessary and laid in layers of not more than 15cm thick and compacted etc., complete complying with standard specification.

Plain Cement concrete 1:2:4 [one cement, two M-sand and four course aggregates] using 20mm size Hard Broken/Machine crushed Granite Stone Jelly including dewatering if found necessary and laid in layers of not more than 15cm thick and compacted etc., complete complying with standard specification.
