Conducting Baseline Study of the Project Site to assess the overview of the project such as , Geophysical Characteristics of project site, Study of topography and geological settings of the project site, Exploration of cultural heritage site, archaeological places, historical monuments and other ecological sensitive area etc., in and around the project site, Identifying reserve forest, wildlife sanctuaries in and around the project site, Identifying of key performance Indicators of the proposed desilting project, identifying the sensitive receptors in around the project area. Land use/ Land cover study, Visual and digital interpretation of satellite imageries to prepare a map based on spectral/tone/texture homogeneity, including cost of all men, materials,T&Ps used for the study, all lead, lift, transport etc complete.

Conducting Environmental Impact Assessment through Hydro - Meteorology of the project viz., Climate and Weather, Wind speed, Wind Direction, Temperature, Relative Humidity, Rainfall etc. Study on run off, discharge, water availability, flow rate, sedimentation rate and Silt Density Index, Monitoring of Air Environment (SPM - Suspended Particulatte Matter, PM 10, PM 2.5, S02, NO3 and Ammonia), Monitoring of Water Environment of both surface and ground water analysis, Physical parameters (pH, Electrical Conductivity, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Chemical parameters (Alkalinity, Hardness, BOD, COD, NO3, PO4, Na, K, Ca, Mg, Silica, Oil and grease, phenolic compounds, residual sodium carbonate), Bacteriological parameters (MPN, Total coliform) and Heavy metals (Pb, As, Hg, Cd, Cr-6, Total Cr, Cu, Zn, Fe), Monitoring of Land Environment- Physical parameters (viz. Texture, Porosity, Hydraulic Conductivity, Bulk Density and Water Holding Capacity) and Chemical parameters (viz. PH, Electrical Conductivity, Magnesium, Calcium, Total Alkalinity, Chlorides, Sodium, Potassium, Organic Carbon, Available Potassium, Available Phosphorus,, SAR, Nitrogen and Salinity) Noise Environment (Noise analysis in the essential locations during day hours and night hours), including cost of all men, materials,T&Ps used for the study, all lead, lift, transport etc complete.

Conducting Social Impact Assessment for Assessment of Socio-economic status in and around the proposed project site (Population, human health, occupational patterns, housing, land holding, business activity, employment, incomes and expenditure, social behavior, castes form a part of this survey. Amenities survey like education, medical facilities, Water supply, sanitation, marketing facilities, transport, roads, banks, post offices also will be collected through secondary data and verified through sample door- to door survey, Analysis of people’s perception of the project and (relocation options, if any are required assistance offered) that will enable them to cope with displacement or loss of livelihoods- temporary or permanent in nature, if any, assessment of the current socio-cultural life style of the tribal/indigenous communities in line with the World Bank’s ESS 7 and ascertain required measures, Assessment of strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for capacity enhancement to address social and gender issues, Preparation of Labour Management Procedure to be followed during project phase, including cost of all men, materials,T&Ps used for the study, all lead, lift, transport etc complete.

Conducting Ecology and Biodiversity Survey, to assess the flora and fauna present in the core zone (3 km radius) and buffer zone (10 km radius) of the project site, to identify the diversity, density, species richness, species evenness, population index, frequency and abundance of flora and fauna, data collection of threatened species, endangered species and critically endangered species in and around the project site, Study of Aquatic ecology (micro invertebrate, zooplankton, phytoplankton, benthos and fish diversity etc., Assessment of species specific legislation ( for Rare, endangered, critically endangered, endemic and vulnerable) to identify designated, habitats and features of ecological significance, including cost of all men, materials,T&Ps used for the study, all lead, lift, transport etc complete.

Preparing Mitigation Measures to identify environmental problem and to find its solution, Identify the measures to protect the physical, biological and human environments. Identify appropriate measure to reduce the health and safety impacts of hazards on workers and vulnerable populations to anticipate and avoid risks and impacts; Minimize or reduce risks and impacts to acceptable levels, if not avoidable; Where significant residual impacts remain, compensate for or offset them, where technically and financially feasible options, to identify differentiated impacts on the disadvantaged or vulnerable and to identify differentiated measures to mitigate such impacts, wherever applicable to assess the relevance and applicability of environmental and social framework, systems, laws, regulations and procedures in the assessment, whenever appropriate and to detail specific actions deemed necessary to assist in mitigating the environmental impact of the project and Preparing Environmental Management Plan, to restrict and regulate the exploitation and utilization of natural resources provide appropriate instructions to Project personnel such as Board staff and contractors about procedures for protecting the environment and minimizing environmental impact, to establish a method of monitoring and environmental management practices, to formulate laws for the implementation of environmental protection and conservation programs, to identify unpredicted impacts and appropriate management Plan, Preparation of following management plans, Pollution Prevention Control Plan, Air Quality Management Plan, Noise, Vibration Management Plan, Water Quality Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Vegetation Management Plan, Traffic Management Plan, Waste Management Plan, Dredging, De-Silting & Dumping Management Plan, Archaeological and Heritage Resources Management Plan, Health and Safety Management Plan, Flood Management Plan, Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Management Plan, Community / Workers Health and Safety Management Plan, Resettlement Plan if required and Tribal/ Indigenous People Development Plan if required. Interim report, Draft Report and Final Report of EIA study and EMP preparation and submission of one soft copy and 4 hard copies, including cost of all men, materials,T&Ps used for the study, all lead, lift, transport etc complete.
