Removal of floating material from sump well by following works:- Preparation and Safety Measures • Conduct a visual inspection to assess the quantity and type of floating material (plastics, grease, sludge, etc.). • Ensure all personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, boots, goggles, face masks, and safety harnesses if needed. • Isolate electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safety during manual or mechanical operations. • If confined space entry is required, ensure adequate ventilation to avoid toxic gas accumulation. • Use a gas detector to check for hazardous gases in the sump well. • Access and Setup Access Ladder/Platform: Set up a stable access system to reach the sump surface safely. • Lighting: Provide temporary lighting if visibility is poor

Removal & Disposal • Use fine mesh nets or scoops to collect floating material (plastics, grease clumps, organic waste). • Deposit the collected material into approved waste bins or containers. • Mechanical Skimming (if applicable): Operate floating oil/grease skimmers or surface sweepers to Remove scum and floating oils/material. • Separate biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste. • Place the waste in sealed containers or bags. • Load waste onto designated vehicles/Rickshaw for transport to the authorized disposal facility. • Spray disinfectant (e.g., sodium hypochlorite) to control odors and pathogens. • Conduct a final inspection to ensure complete removal and cleanliness
