Providing (Retrofitting) VF Drive in 3 x 300 TR Screw Chiller Units and Cooling Towers of LHC Bldg, IIT Delhi

Supply, installation, retrofitting, testing and commissioning of HVAC Variable (frequency) Speed Drive of capacity not less than 110 kW each for each compressor (two compressors per each unit) suitable for operation on 380 - 480 VAC for controlled operation of 300 TR Water Cooled Chiller AC (Voltas make) bypassing and keeping standby mode of the existing star-delta drive (starter), complete package with necessary compatible MODBUS Input / Output card, modification of software compatible to VSD with screw compressor, providing and making connections with communication cable of required length including other accessories like line reactor, Transformer of required capacity, electrical switch gears including 200 amp isolator switch, MCBs, control relays, NO-NC, power contactors of not less than 300 amp rating, line choke 26CA/0.028 mh, copper strips of not less than 40 x 5 mm of required length, master control board (like MCS Magnum extension), solenoid valve with coil, etc. complete as required. The complete package shall be housed in cubicle construction of size not less than 2100 mm x 900 mm x 900 mm fabricated out of 2 mm thick CRCA sheet with hinged lockable doors, dust and vermin proof powder coated of approved shade after 7 tank treatment process with proper forced ventilation arrangement for VF drive, supplying and fixing of required contactors complete as required Safety shutdowns with VSD shall include: a) VSD shutdown - requesting fault data b) VSD - stop contacts open c) VSD - 110% motor overload d) VSD - high phase A, B, C inverter heat-sink temperature e) VSD - high converter heat sink temperature The VSD starter will vary the compressor motor speed by controlling the frequency and voltage of electrical power to the motor. The adaptive capacity control logic shall automatically adjust motor speed and compressor pre-rotation vane position independently for maximum part-load efficiency by analysing information fed to it by sensors located throughout the chiller. The VSD shall restrict harmonic generation from VSD by providing Active Harmonic Filters as per IEEE 519. Drive shall be PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) type utilising IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) with a power factor of not less than 0.95 at all loads and speeds. Supplying and laying of NYVIN Tinned Copper cable for VSD input and output from chiller panel to VSD/VFD Panel with necessary lugs, thimbles including making required connections etc. as required.

Supply, installation, retrofitting, testing and commissioning of Variable (frequency) Speed Drive of capacity not less than 7.5 kW each for each Cooling Tower Motor (two motors per each Cooling Tower) x 3 Cooling Towers suitable for operation on 380 - 480 VAC for controlled operation of 300 TR Cooling Tower bypassing and keeping standby mode of the existing star-delta drive (starter), complete package integrated with MODBUS RTU interface, providing and making connections with communication cable of required length including other accessories as to be required. The complete package shall be housed in cubicle construction of size not less than 1200 mm x 1200 mm x 300 mm fabricated out of 2 mm thick CRCA sheet with hinged lockable doors, dust and vermin proof powder coated of approved shade after 7 tank treatment process with proper forced ventilation arrangement for VF drive, supplying and fixing of compatible temperature sensor, selector switch, voltmeter, ammeter etc. as required. Speed of the motors shall vary automatically according to the temperature of condensed water through proper feedback from temperature sensor. (One Complete unit shall house all VFDs and controls for 3 Cooling Towers as a complete package)

Supplying, and laying of PVC insulated XLPE copper cable of size 4 core x 6 sqmm of 1.1 kV grade including making connections, end terminations for extending power from VFD/VSD panel to existing motor panel etc. complete as required. Supplying, and laying of PVC insulated XLPE armoured aluminium cable of size 4 core x 35 sqmm of 1.1 kV grade including making connections, end terminations for extending power from VFD/VSD panel to distribution panel etc. complete as required.
