Excavation in earth work in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, August, 2004 and clause 16.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. The recovery of useful stone that is 3398.25 cum. (Three Thousand Three hundred Ninety Eight and point Twenty Five only Cubic Metre) in all cases, failing which recovery @ Rupees 170/= only (Rupees one hundred seventy only) per cubic metre shall be effected on pro rata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.
Earth work in excavation for all types of road structures ,such as retaining walls, breast walls, culverts drains and parapets etc.in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rocks, hard rocks chiselling/wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) as per drawings and MORD technical specifications Clause 305.1,1104 and 1606.1. including hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Stone masonry in cement mortar for sub structure complete as per drawing & technical specification Clauses 702, 704, 1202 and 1204. Random Rubble Masonry in Cement Mortar 1:6 and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Construction of dry rabble masonry for retaining walls, breast walls, revetment walls and parapets etc. for sub structure and super structure complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 704.6 and 1302.5 including the cost of form work and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Stone masonry in cement mortar for substructure complete as per drawing & technical specification Clauses 702, 704, 1202 and 1204 Coursed rubble masonry (2nd sort) In 1:4 cement mortar and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying concrete for plain cement concrete 1:4:8 (One Cement isto four sand isto eight graded crushed stone aggregate 25 mm (twenty five millimetre) nominal size Mechanically mixed and vibrated in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clause 802,803,1202 & 1203. and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying Plain Cement Concrete nominal mix 1:6: 12 (one cement isto six sand isto twelve graded crushed stone aggregate 40mm (forty millimetre) nominal size for Mechanically mixed and vibrated in open foundation and plinths or similar works complete as per drawings and technical specifications MORD clause 802,803,1202 & 1203. and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Back filling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall and retaining wall with granular material complete as per drawings and MORD technical specification Clause 1204.3.8 ( One thousand two hundred four point three point eight ) and curing complete including hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4 mm dia GI wire conforming to IS:280 and IS:4826 in 100 mm x 100 mm mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 per cent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 25 kg each as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 1301 and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete pipes IS (Indian Standard) class NP-2 (Non Pressure -Two) 900mm (Nine hundred) millimetres internal dia for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1;2 (one cement isto two sand ) but excluding excavation , protection work ,back filling ,concrete and masonry work in head walls and parapets complete as per drawings and MORD technical specifications clause 1108. and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Construction of unlined surface drains of average cross-sectional area 0.40 sqm in soil to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions. Excavated material to be used in embankment with a lift upto 3m and lead of 50 m (average lead 25 m) as per Technical Specification Clause 307 and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Preparation of sub-grade by dressing to camber (Earth work for the cutting involved for sub garde to be paid for separately depending upon the classification of soil completed as per HP.PWD specifications. and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Stone soling properly hand-packed filling interstices with Kharanja stone and consolidating with power road roller to the requested gradient and comber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HP.PWD specification. 100 mm spread thickness (finished work including materials and labour) and hauling of in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
