Fabrication and casting of new suction bell along with shroud of 3 no. VT pumps installed at LIS TPH Jammu, each VT Pump having a discharge capacity of 60 cusecs and a head of 32.30 meters (Model: 900 VM-2, Jyoti Make). The suction bells/shrouds shall be manufactured from sound and homogeneous Alloy Cast Iron conforming to IS 210, Grade FG 260, with 2% Nickel (Ni), matching the specified material grade of the existing pump bowl assembly as per the physical sample provided by the department, with an approximate weight of 725 kg each. The scope includes the complete cost of pattern making, casting, and machining of the raw suction bells to achieve the required dimensions, tolerances, and finish necessary for accurate fitment with the existing bowl assemblies of the VT pumps. The job also covers all charges related to labour, materials, and transportation, transit insurance of all components including to-and-fro shifting of the sample between the site and workshop, transportation of finished components to the Tawi Pump House including loading, unloading, and handling activities. The casted suction bells along with shrouds shall be duly tested and checked for dimensional accuracy, fitment, and compatibility with the existing VT pump bowl assemblies/system before final acceptance. The fabricated components must exhibit superior workmanship, proper profiling, fine finishing, and shall be painted with super enamel paint. The work must be completed in accordance with standard engineering practices, ensuring durability, reliability, and full compatibility with the existing pump assemblies.
