Excavation for earth work in all kinds of soil with hydraulic exacavator of 0.90 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirement of line grades and cross section and transporting to the embankment location with all lifts and lead within airport premises as directed by EIC.
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level 1:4:8 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-III) : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size)
Consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity including making good the undulations etc. and acheiving desired Compaction 95%of maximum dry density (proctor Density) at OMD complete.
Embankment with earth available from excavation items by making earth free from all logs, stumps, roots, grass, shrubs, rank vegetation brush wood, trees, spaling and rubbish and any other ingredient likely to deteriorate or affect the stability of the embankment /subgrade etc. filling, spreading earth in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth under optimum moisture content (OMC) to give atleast 95% of the maximum dry density (Proctor Density), graded and compacted in accordance with the requirements of MoRTH&H specifications and incomformity with lines and cross -sections shown on the drawings or as directed by Engineer-in -charge. Besides aforeside, embankment are is also to be cleaned and make ut free from all kinds of vegetation etc. before taking up the work.

Construction of dry lean cement concrete sub base over a prepared subgrade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS:383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per the specifications, cement content not to be less than 150 Kg/cum, optimum moisture content to be determined during trial length constructions, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant, transported to site, for all leads & lifts, laid with a mechanical paver, compacting with 8-10 tonne vibratory roller, finishing and curing etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying poythene sheet (400 Micron thick ) conforming to IS:2508 antifriction layer on the sub base course complete as per specification with specified over lap of minimum 100mm between adjacent strip and tranverse joint (only plan area is measured for payment).
Providing and laying Pavement Quality Concrete(PQC) produced in a batching plant (minimum capacity of 30 cum per hour) having a Characteristic Flexural Strength i.e. minimum flexural strength of 4.1 Mpa at 28 days using 350 Kg of Ordinary Portland Cement 43 grade, fine aggregate, graded stone aggregates of 40 mm nominal size in appropriate proportion as per specification and job mix formula, laid in panels as per drawing / design as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge using Fixed form paver/Screed vibrator/manual method (manual method shall be allowed only for PQC laying in fillets, shoulder or any other inaccessible area / portion as decided by the Engineer-in-charge) including making necessary provision for expansion joint, curing, etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge and particular specifications. The item for execution shall also include the following operations: i) Mechanically cutting dummy joints 3 mm wide X 1/3rd thickness of slab which is subsequently widened to 10 mm for the top 25 mm depth and construction joints 10 mm wide X 25 mm deep as per specification. ii) Filling Polysulphide sealant in dummy, construction and expansion joints including providing closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up rod, and painting side of joints with Polysulphide primer, etc. complete (to be paid separately under item 17). Note: For the purpose of tendering, the quantity of cement used for one Cum. of finished concrete may be assumed as 350 Kg. If the actual quantity of cement required as per laboratory mix design varies from the quantity assumed above, necessary cost adjustment for deviation in the quantity of cement as per mix design, if any, shall be done as per the rate of cement in actual supply voucher from manufacturer/ authorized dealer at the time of execution. In the case of authorized distributor the rate may be authenticated by the manufacturer.
Providing , laying and fixing in position closed cell ,UV resistant , compressible semi rigid type polythylene joint filler boards at expansion joints in concrete slab wherever specified and shown in the drawing ,as per specification and direction of Engineer in charge , complete in all respect and fixing in position pre-moulded joint filler in expansion joint 20 mm thick .
Providing and laying in position polysulphide sealant of approved make conforming to BS-5212-1990 or IS 11433-1995, in expansion / Construction / dummy joints including rounding off edges, applying 2 coats of approved primer compatible with the brand of polysulphide and preparing the surface and applying masking tape along the edge of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and to give neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge & particular specifications.[note : for purpose of payment, quantity (Length X Width X Depth) of sealant in cucm only will be measured.]
Carrying out & submission of detailed structural design for RCC Retaining wall , preparation of detailed structural drawing including carrying out necessary soil testing for design as per direction of engineer-in-charge . The structural design and drawings shall be got vetted by Govt. Engineering College/NIT/IIT. 5 (five) sets of "good for construction" structural drawing showing all relevant details alongwith 2 set of design report shall be submitted duly signed by the consultant.. Consultant shall also submit any other details relevant to the scope and completion of work including revision of drawing if required during execution of work for any reason whatsoever.
