Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc., cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade at the rate of 3 kg per 10 sqm, putting in bituminous macadam thickness consolidated/ compacted thickness using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs 30 per kg.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 sqm, depth of pot hole exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm including rolling over the broken surfaces using 8 to 12 tonnes power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing existing black top surface with wire brush for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with broom and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a primimng/ tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion Rs-1 grade @ 3 kg/10 sqmm of surface compelete all as specified

M & L for semi dense bituminous concrete 40 mm (compacted thickness) using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG 30 grade) @ 5.5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs 30 per kg.

Supply and fixing Glow studs (cat's eye) of size 80 to 100mm x 80 to 100mm x 15 to 20mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite) or HIP ( High Impact Polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro plastic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by engineer in charge. The cat eye shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro refelctive surface shall be 35+/-5 degree to base. The reflective panels on both sides with a least 12cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTm I: 809 part 4 : 1973. The studs shall be dized to the road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer in charge.

Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, 20% glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete all as specified and as directed.
