REPAIR OF CERTAIN ROADS INCLUDING CONNECTED ITEMS IN KAYAKALP, OFFICER MESS, BILLETS AND TECH AREA AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH UNDER GE (AF) MC CHANDIGARH

Material and Labour for Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen,putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chipping, 6.3 mm size and again well ramming (including supplying of premixed bituminous macadam and chipping) (depth of potholes exc 30mm), complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for Preparing of black top surface by brushing with wire brushes, sweeping with brooms & finally cleaning with air compressor to remove all loose dirt & applying evenly a priming/tack coat @ 5 Kgs per 10 Sqm Paving Bitumen (Grade-VG-10) with paving bitumen complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for for premix Semi-Dense Asphaltic Concrete 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using Paving Bitumen of Grade VG-30 rolled and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) The actual requirement of binder shall be as per job mix design and the tests specified. However, quantity of bitument from the mix design if found more than specified 5.5% same shall be provided with no extra cost to the Govt. In case binder content found to be less than 5.5% as per mix design as specified in Sch 'A' shall be adjusted @ the rate of 65.00/kg for the less qty of bitumen used. The qty of 5.5% mentioned is exclusive of any wastage and no wastage shall be taken into account for the purpose of above adjustment. (ii) The work shall be strictly carried out by using mechanical/ sensor paver only. (ii) The design mix shall be carried out from IIT/NIT/Govt Insitution or NABL accredited Lab apporved by E-in-C and quoted rate shall be inclusive of the same. Work will be allowed only after approval of Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) Design Mix. (iii) Contractor shall arrange bitumen extraction test at site during execution of SDAC work. The copy of same shall be fwd to this HQ. (iv) The copy of PV shall be submitted by cotractor for claiming payment in RAR. In case of non submission of the same, the payment shall not be made. Enigineer-in-Charge shall be responsible for ascertaining the genuineness of the Purchase Voucher(s).

Material and Labour for Premix bituminous macadam laid/ rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power roller of paving bitumen any penetration and compacted to a required gradient and camber ( consolidated thickness less than75mm ) using binder content 4% min (Bitumen Grade-VG-30) by weight of total mix, complete all as specified and directed. Note: No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content (paving bitumen VG-30) is used/ approved in the execution of work under this item.

Material and Labour for painting lines dashes, arrows, letters in any colour etc on roads pavement by applying thermoplastic paint conforming to IS: 164-1981 (First Rivision Reaffirmed in 1986) (5 kg/Sqm) with glass beads potters ( 250 gms) 2mm to 2.5mm thick and 10cm/15cm wide strips on bituminous road surface and road marking (by Hot Mechanical process with Road marking machine) including complete removal of dust particles by wire brushes or sweeping with brooms complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-0 using 12.50 mm graded crushed stone aggregate, as a benching,coping and make surface smooth in curved shape without using extra cement ,including cleaning, dressing,removing caked mud, sweeping free from dust loose stone, bitumen chip , from roads sides, cutting around edges of road ( if required) to drain out rain water of road side and removal of all rubbish outside defence land upto a distance of 1.5Km complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Fix 150mm dia PVC Rain water pipes single socketed in any length with rubber ring joints fixed in trenches or walls complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of bitumen road,Cement concrete (unreinforced),any description paving in ground floors (below or above ground level) and removing the debris outside the defence land complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for 75 mm thick plain cement concrete Type - D2 (1:4:8) (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in sub base complete all as specified and as directed.

Sand filling under floors or in foundations including watering and consolidation complete all as specified and as directed.
