The scope of work comprises as under:- (a) Construction of 150mm diameter bores 0 to 10 meter according to IS 1892-1988 and IS - 1892 - 1979. (b) Conduction standard penetation test (S.P.T.) as per IS 2131 - 1988. the testing shall be made at every 1500 meter distance. The test may be made at least intervals if specified of sonsidered necessary as pe IS -2131 - 1988. (c) Collection of undisturbed soil samples at an interval of 1500 meter. (d) Conduction of laboratory tests on disturbed /undisturbed soil samples as per project requirement after completion of boring, as given below:- (i) Seive analysis (ii) Plasticity Index (iii) Specific gravity (iv) Water content (v) Particle size analysis (vi) Bulk and dry density (vii) Atterberg limit (viii) Harmful salt organic matter if any. (ix) Direct shear test (in case of sandy soil) (x) Unconfined un- drained test (in case of clay soil) (xi) Consolidation test (for saturated soil) (xii) Differential free swell test ( in case of expansive soil) The firm shall submit the soil investigation completely covering the following :- (a) Bore log chat showing depth of soil strals. (b) Ground water table. (c) Probable maximum and different settlement. (d) Safe bearing capacity based on shear and, settlement.

Determination of CBR Value of subgrade at different location as per latest of relevant IS code including submission of test report. Note:- (i) Submission of six copies of lnk singed test report with details description of field investigation. (ii) With site soil investigation report, a detailed site plan showing the approximde location of each bore duly numbered as per log of bore holes should be enclosed. Location of foundation of adjacent structure, specifically those that might be impacted by theproposed construction. (iii) Every page of soil investigation report should have the name of the job for which soil investigation is being carried out in case of maultiple site of a single job are being investigated name of each site shall be put on each page of report pertaining to the soil. (iv) All pages of the soil investigated report shall be serially numbered, signed by the agency carried out soil investigation report shoul be scrutinized by GE and CWE forcorrectness and endorsed. (v) Tpt charge in including loading or unloading of heavy gurder, Techenician etc complete from lab to work site and back shall be deemed included in rate quoted by the bidder. A photo graph of geo - exploration as well as testing shall also form part the report.
