SCHEDULE A BOQ
Note for all items of this BOQ :-
SITE FOR EXECUTION OF WORK :- 1) Tenderer shall note that work shall be executed at Runway / taxi track/ Tarmac & around of airfield area.
Due to continous Flying commitment at Sulur Station, site for execution of work will be made available to contractor on Saturday, Sunday, Holiday and non flying days or whenever Runway will be made available to the department by ATS authorities.
The contractor will have to arrange his working programme accordingly.
The contractor has to liaise with the ATS authorities two days prior of his planned works and schedule accordingly.
Any claim of the contractor on account of not giving the entire site after award of work or giving the site in piecemeal manner will not be entertained by the department at any stage.
The quoted rates shall be deemed to be inclusive of these aspects.
Carrying out skid resistance test (SRT) on flexible and rigid pavement by using british pendulum SRT device, the test shall be carried out in grid pattern of 5m x 5m. The reading shall be taken on dry surface and wet surface condition at each point of surface, five reading shall be taken on each point and average shall be considered. Approximate area is 150000 sqm. Frequency of test shall be decided by air force authorities. Test standard and test procedure are mentioned in airport service manual, to find out the coeffcient of friction of runway before and after the treatment. The report shall be prepared and to be submitted duly recommendation with remedial measures in five copies alongwith photographs.
Note :- The T&P/ manpower required for above job shall be arranged by the contractor and no extra cost will be paid for the same.
RUNPHALT' bitumen tubing/ rope for filling of cracks on the runway width of crack 5mm to 7mm with the help of screw driver pushing it inside the crack then apply direct flame 20-30 second through torch method complete all as per manufacturers instruction and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make:- M/s Srijan System PVT Ltd or equivalent as approved by GE
RolIing and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting/ filling to the required gradient and camber including filling in depression and hollow, watering, leveling etc., complete using tandem vibratory/ power roller exceeding 8 tonne and not exceeding 12 tonne capacity all as specified and as directed. Note :- Rolling and consolidation the formation surfaces to the required gradient and camber under optimum moisture conditions to achieve at least 98% of maximum dry density determined using modified proctor density determination method as per relevant IS code.
Chipping and neatly cutting of existing loose concrete of crack at Runway/taxi track/Pavement by using saw cutter. Cutting of crack portion shall not be less than 100 mm wide and 25 mm deep and clearing of all loose material with air blower/sand blaster and the portion applying proprietory primer on surface to obtain tack and finally fiiled by Elastomeric concrete mix shall be prepared as per manufacturer instruction to obtain true surface and finally set the surface with hand tools complete all as specified and directed. Note :- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting rate for above item:-
(a) Providing masking tape at joints/ on edge of cutted portion and necessary formwork required if any at spalled joints edge to prevent accidental spillage of concrete on top surfaces to give a neat finish. The rate deemed to be inclusive.
(b) The rate deemed to be included for making good to distrubed portion of joint filling around the area where material are applied.
(c) Material shall be procured from the authorised manufacturer only.
(d) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufactor only in presence of departmental and user representative.
Reinforced Cement Concrete M-25 (Design Mix) using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation for drain and the like all as specified and as directed.

Forming 25 mm thick expansion joint, filled with compressible synthetic filler board, on top of filler board for complete width of joint, provision of closed cell polyethylene rod 30 mm dia, filled with polyurethane sealant (Minimum depth above polyethylene rod shall be of 10 mm) complying with BS-5212 (For type 'FB' fire & fuel resistance) & BS-4254, and EN - 141875 - 2003 (for hydrolysis / water resistance test) priming the sides, with minimum MAF ±30 % (with ten years performance guarantee) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied by mechanical means all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge
Filling the pit holes in concrete surfaces of size n exc 15mm in dia and 20mm in deep by using a mixture of quartz sand No 9 -450 parts by weight, Hardner Hy 140-50 parts by weight and araldite GY 257-100 parts by weight to form a hard paste and filling the pit holes after cleaning the dust particles with blower and applying primer coat with epoxy resin of mix with formulation of 100 parts of araldite GYZ 57 and 50 parts of hardner Hy 840 by weight and ramming with hammer to make a uniform surface to match with the existing concrete surfaces.
Note:-(a) Contractor shall provide 02 Nos of skilled manpower to execute the job on as per requirement basis all as per directed by Engineer in charge and rate shall be considered inclusive in quoted rate. (b) A pucca register shall be maintained by the contractor and signature of Engr -in-charge and air force authorities to be obtained daily to authenticate the presence of labourers. payment will be made on day basis. This register will form part of RAR/final bill for making the payment. Note: For Sl item No. 24: The contractor shall adhere to time frame as per the user's requirement and as per demand. The deamand and the location of work will be intimated either by rep of User/ MES rep well in advance. Incase of failure to attend the demand in intime penalty will be levied for each day @ Rs. 1000/- for non completing the requirement till completion of work. Note that this penalty is exclusively other than condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract. (i) The nature of work under Sl item No. 24 is related Runway Maintenance. Hence no delay is not accepted. (ii) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regards shall be final and binding.
Remove the existing damaged filled sealing compound including polyethylene rod by raking end using blow lamp and cleaning of expansion/construction/dummy joints of concrete pavement free from dust and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surfaces to give a neat finish to the sealant,provision of polyethethylene backup, rod 15-20mm dia in any type of joint and sealed with 10-12 mm thick polyurethane based sealing compund confirming to BS 5212-1990 or equivalent of approved colour after application of suitable primer and removing the masking tape after the sealant filling etc complete all as specified and as per manufacturers instructions. The size of the joint is 12 to 18 mm wide for any type of joint
Note:- (a) The existing sealant compound shall be taken out completely using blow lamp and joint shall be cleaned with wire brush and loose particles dust etc shall be removed by using hand pump before applying primer.
(b) Any spillage of material during filling over the slab shall be removed and cleaned by contractor and any damage accrue to the concrete slab will be made good by the contractor without any extra cost to the department.
Note:- (i) Material shall confirm to BS (manufacturer : FOSROC (COLPOR-200 gray) or Chemtallraj India Pvt Ltd. (RALLITHANE) or STP Ltd (Shalifax PU) or (CICO OR) Cippy ply seal.
All as per item No 26 above but polyethethylene backup, rod 25mm dia in any type of joint and sealed with 10-12 mm thick COLPOR 200 polyurethane based sealing compund confirming to BS 5212-1990 or equivalent of approved colour after application of suitable primer and removing the masking tape after the sealant filling etc complete all as specified and as per manufacturers instructions. The size of the joint is 20 mm wide for any type of joint
Preparing of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces using air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc complete and applying cold Polymer Modified bitumen Emulsion (PME) Rejuvenator by spraying with machine of total liquid PME 1.00 Ltr per sqm (undiluted) for two coats with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on Runway surface.PME shall be applied using mechanically operated pump with compressor and nozzle arrangement at uniform pressure and rate, all as per manufacturer instruction and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge Make :- Polymeric Modified Emulsions (PME) Rejuvenator, Brand Name : EMULCOTE of M/s L N Petro Chem Pvt Limited or equivalent in M/s Ooms Polymer Modified bitumen Pvt Ltd.
Notes :- The tenderer shall take into consideration for following points while quoting rate for above item:-
(a) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO standard and friction test shall be carried out on newly PME applied surface by using continous friction testing machine.
(b) Friction parameters shall be between 0.3-0.6 after application of PME. it will be the responsibility of the contractor to arrange portable skid resistance Tester (PSTR) and carry out necessary testing as directed without any extra cost to Govt
(c) Material shall be procured from the authorised manufacturer only.
(d) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturer only in presence of departmental and user representative.
(e) Two year warranty of material performance and application performance shall be obtained by the contractor from the authorized manufacturer of PME and the same shall be submitted to GE on completion of work as specified . Warranty includes the fact that the structure will remain water tight and no further cracks will be formed, excluding damage caused by natural calamities. Permeability test (ASTM D 2434) to be conducted on the surface prior and after to application of treatment.
(f) A performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to GE on completion of work as specified.
(g) care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up-to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's instructions.
(h) Mineral filler (fibrous cum quartz powder) shall be added as per manufacturers instruction.
(j) Electric supply shall be arranged by the contractor at its own arrangements and rate deemed to be inclusive.
(k) The contractor shall adhere to time frame as per the user's requirement and as per demand. The demand and the location of work will be intimated to the contractor either by rep of User/ MES rep well in advance. Incase of failure to attend the demand in in time, penalty will be levied for each day @ Rs. 1000/- for non completing the requirement till completion of work. Note that this penalty is exclusively other than condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract.
(l) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
(m) The nature of work is related to Flight safety. Hence no delay is acceptable.
(n) minus price adjustmen shall be applicable if quantity of PME using less as specified and shall be work out based on paid voucher and market enquire.
(o) plus price adjustment shall be not applicable if quantity of PME Applied more as specified as per surface conditon is required.
Retro Reflective tape in any pattern, shape/number/letters on old existing boards after cleaning and removing of existing letters/tape 1 mm thick diamond pattern and size of letter approximate size 340 mm wide and 450 mm height as directed and specified.

Note :-(For Item No.49,50,51,63 & 76) (a) All synthetic enamel paint, paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.
(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.
(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.
(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)
(e) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE
(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.
(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.
(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.
Form work to soffits of suspended slabs such as roof slabs, floor slabs, landings and similar work exceeding 200mm thick finished fair all as directed.
Providing, precast reinforced cement concrete type B1, 1:2:4 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in cover slabs copings, bed plates, kerbs etc set in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: Reinforcement shall be measured and paid seprately)
Framed work such as grills,gratings and similar work etc with below RCC road culvert opening at up stream and down stream end complete conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 including dismantling existing steel.

Note : (a) The contractor shall adhere to time frame as per the user's requirment and as per demand. The demand and the location of work will be intimated either by rep of User/ MES rep well in advance. (b) Incase of failure to attend the demand in time penalty will be levied for each day @ Rs 1000/- for non completing the requirment till completion of work. Note that this penalty is exclusively other than condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract. (c) The decision of Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final & binding. (d) The nature of work under is related to Air Field maintenance. Hence delay is not acceptable.

Removal of spoil/silt type soil, mud/ silt, vegetation growth, plants/ small tress etc,from drain including repairing cracks in cement mortar (1:3) where noticed in surface of drain and removing of RCC cover slab and refix after necessary repair all as directed and specified, drainages of any size and any depth including removal of sludge to outside MD land exc 1.5 KM but not exc 5 KM and depositing where directed.
Applying one coat of water based road marking paint such as lines, dashes, arrows, letters, boxes etc on roads, pavements and the like including preparation of surfaces by brushes/ mechanical grinder/sand papers, making surface rough to hold paint exceeding 10 cm wide all as specified and as directed using spraying machine including necessary DG Set required to operate machines used for scraping / removal of existing paint deemed to be inclusive in the above quoted rate. Make of road marking paint :M/s Asian paints, M/s Jenson and Nicholson, M/s Berger paints, or as approved by GE.
Note :- (i) During weekdays site will be available for approximate 4 to 5 hours du+B19e to aircraft movements such as landing/takeoff .(ii) During weekend days site will be available for 5 to 6 hours. Contractor shall consider the above points while quoting the rate and no extra payment shall be claim by the contractor on account of this.
Forming construction joint, 25mm deep and 8 mm wide (using diamond cutter), applying one coat of white wash to the exposed vertical faces of slab, providing polyethylene rod 10mm dia and sealed with Polyurethane sealant (Minimum depth above polyethylene rod shall be of 10 mm) complying with BS: 5212 (For type 'FB' fire & fuel resistance) & BS : 4254 and EN-141875 - 2003 (For hydrolysis / water resistance test), priming the sides, minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF)±30% with ten years performance guarantee) and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surfaces to give neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied by mechanical means complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

Applying Epoxy primer @ 0.45Kg/Sqm over old epoxy surfaces.
Moorum/red bajri filling including spreading and levelling in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed Including watering and rolled to true surfaces with 8 to 12 Ton capacity power roller to achieve compaction of 98% modified proctor density complete all as specified. Note: (i) Moorum/red bajri required shall be brought from outside MD land (ii) Compaction of moorum filling shall be carried out under optimum moisture conditions up to the standard proctor density not less than 98 percent. (iii) Measurements shall be taken after consolidation earth and 5% deduction shall be made for payments.
Preparation of old painted surfaces of concrete and plastered applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint over 10 cm width or girth, not otherwise described n exc 10 cm width or girth, not otherwise described
Applying two coat of water based paint of yellow colour on runway/taxiway/apron or other airfield markings of any size and length including letters and numeral markings with suitable spray machine , including removal of existing complete luminious paint area and cleaning of the area by means of wire brushes/ mechanically complete and removal where directed and all as specified and as directed.
Demolition of existing un-reinforced Cement Concrete in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15 Cm thickness complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Concrete as demolished shall be sold to contractor on credit.
Removal of demolished materials / debris etc. to a distance exceeding 1.5 KM and not exceeding 5 KM and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed.
Note: (i) Removal of demolished material obtained from Sl. item No. 78 upto 100m distance shall deemed to included in the rate quoted for Sl. item No 78 (ii) Removal of demolished material obtained from Sl. item No. 78 beyond 100 M shall only be measured and paid under this item.
Pavement Quality Cement Concrete (PQC) work in pavement slab / hard standing, in single layer, using design mix with minimum cement content 400 Kg/Cum to achieve flextural strength 45 Kg/sqcm on 28 days (lower concrete limit LCL) in pavement slabs, spread & compacted using vibrators and paving slip form conrete sensor paver min 4 m wide and Mechanical paver with electronic sensor (minimum 05m extendable with attachment to 8m wide to required gradient, using non circular synthetic fiber @ 0.25% by weight of cement, including necessary steel form work along the joints compacting finishing and belting/brooming all as specified and directed.
Note for item No 81 :- (a) Construction Joints/dummy joints and expansion joints shall be measured and paid seperately under respective items. (b) Deduction shall be made in computing concrete quantity for expansion joints. (c) Contractor shall consider 400 kg of cement per cum of concrete while quoting this item. Actual quantity of cement shall be used as per approved design mix. No price adjustment shall be applicable for excess quantity of cement content i.e beyond 400 kg as per approved design mix in execution of work. (d) Non circular synthetic fiber shall be mixed in the " PQC" @ 0.25% of cement all as per manufacturers instructions and as directed by Engr-in-charge.
(e) Supply only of POLYESTER TRIANGULAR/non circular synthetic fibre shall be measured and paid seperately.(f) Cost of brooming and belting shall be measured and paid seperately.(g) Cost of steel formwork and testing as specified shall be deemed to included in the rate quoted by the tenderer.(h)Maximum working temperature shall not exceed 30 degree centigrade of atmosphere.
Dry lean concrete (DLC) of compressive strength not less than 10N/sqmm at 7 days with minimum 150 Kg of cement using graded stone aggregate or as per design mix per cum laid and rolled with double drum smooth wheeled vibratory roller of 8 to 10 Ton capacity complete including demolition of concrete and removing to out side MD land all as specified and directed. Note :- No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of cement than the minimum is used/ approved based on mix design in the execution of work under this item.
Supply only polyester triangular/Non circular synthetic fibre (Recron CT-2424 fibre) for pavement quality concrete PQC surface complete all as specified and directed.
One layer of polythene film (transparent colour) 400 micron thickness as per ASTM D2103/IS 2508 laid over tack coat with side and end overlapping not less than 300mm all as approved by GE. Note :- (i) Measurement shall be taken for net area and unit rate quoted shall deemed to include for over lapping.
Finishing surfaces of concrete pavement by belting / brooming complete all as specified and directed.
Remove the existing damaged filled sealing compound including polyethylene rod by raking end using blow lamp and cleaning of expansion/construction/dummy joints of concrete pavement free from dust and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surfaces to give a neat finish to the sealant,provision of polyethethylene backup, rod 25-35mm dia in expansion joint and sealed with 10-12 mm thick polyurethane based sealing compund confirming to BS 5212-1990 or equivalent of approved colour after application of suitable primer and removing the masking tape after the sealant filling etc complete all as specified and as per manufacturers instructions. The size of the joint is 20 to 30 mm wide for expansion joint.
Note:- (a) The existing sealant compound shall be taken out completely using blow lamp and joint shall be cleaned with wire brush and loose particles dust etc shall be removed by using hand pump before applying primer.
(b) Any spillage of material during filling over the slab shall be removed and cleaned by contractor and any damage accrue to the concrete slab will be made good by the contractor without any extra cost to the department.
Note:- (i) Material shall confirm to BS (manufacturer : FOSROC (COLPOR-200 gray) or Chemtallraj India Pvt Ltd. (RALLITHANE) or STP Ltd (Shalifax PU) or (CICO OR) Cippy ply seal.
Cutting, removing damage portion of concrete surface in square/ rectangular shape for a minimum depth of 15mm, cleaning the surface with wire brush or cloth and removing the dirt including the wetness and dampness by means of dryer and supply and laying geo polymer based "Geo Krete - HD of Make eco materials or equivalent in Fosroc chemicals/ Tiki Tar/ M/s STP Limited/sika india pvt ltd rapid setting curing free semi levelling structural mortar of single compound activated by water for quick construction & levelled the surface to match with existing surface all as per manufacturer’s instructions as specified & directed. The geopolymer based water impermeable concrete resurfacing mortar shall have compressive strength of 15 M Pa in 2 hours and 50 M Pa in 28 days without any water curing and curing compounds having a water penetration of less than 2 MM when tested as per DIN 1048 and RCPT valve of less than 800 coloumbs when tested as per ASTM C 1202.
Note :- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting rate for above item:-
(a) The rate deemed to be included for making good to disturbed portion around the area where material are applied.
(b) Material shall be procured from the authorised manufacturer only.
(c) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufactor only in presence of departmental and user rep.
Forming contraction (Dummy) joints, cutting with diamond cutter to a depth of 100 mm and 3mm wide initially and finaly 8 mm wide top 25mm portion cut to 8mm wide to accommodate polyethylene rod 8mm wide and sealant , provision of closed cell polyethylene rod of 10 mm dia sealed with (10mm depth minimum above polyethylene rod) polyeurethane sealant complying with BS 5212 (For type 'FB' fire & fuel resistance) & BS 4254 and EN-141875 - 2003 (For hydrolysis / water resistance test) priming the sides with two coats and with minimum MAF ± 30% (with ten years performance guarantee) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surfaces to give neat finish to the sealant and removing masking tape after the application of sealant by mechanical means all as specified and directed.
Preparing of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface using air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc complete and applying of slurry seal containing cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME), fine aggregate, mineral fillers, water and spraying the material (slurry seal) having average thickness of 6 mm as per site condition uniformly, should be designed such that the initial setting time should be of 2-3 hours but not more than 4 hours and ensure uniform finish of area complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The mixing of PME and specially designed filler should be mixed in the ratio 2.5 : 1 (filler : PME) to form slurry and should be done mechanically by high power agitator 90 RPM. Make : M/s L N Petro Chem Pvt Ltd or equivalent as approved by GE.
Notes :- The tenderer shall take into consideration for following points while quoting rate for above item:-
(a) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAO standard and friction test shall be carried out on newly PME applied surface by using continous friction testing machine.
(b) Friction parameters shall be between 0.3-0.6 after application of PME. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to arrange portable skid resistance Tester (PSTR) and carry out necessary testing as directed without any extra cost to Govt.
(c) Material shall be procured from the authorised manufacturer only.
(d) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufactor only in presence of departmental and user representative.
(e) Manufacturer should have sucessfully completed the similar work at defence airfield.
(f) Two year warranty of material performance and application performance shall be obtained by the contractor from the authorized manufacturer of PME and the same shall be submitted to GE on completion of work as specified . Warranty includes the fact that the structure will remain water tight and no further cracks will be formed, excluding damage caused by natural calamities. Permeability test (ASTM D 2434) to be conducted on the surface prior and after to application of treatment.
(g) A performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to GE on completion of work as specified.
(i) Electric supply shall be arranged by the contractor at its own arrangements and rate deemed to be inclusive.
(j) Trial patch of 10 Sqm shall be carried out by the contractor on runway and approval of same to be taken from GE before execution of complete qty.
(k) The contractor shall adhere to time frame as per the user's requirement and as per demand. The demand and the location of work will be intimated to the contractor either by rep of User/ MES rep well in advance. Incase of failure to attend the demand in in time, penalty will be levied for each day @ Rs. 1000/- for non completing the requirement till completion of work. Note that this penalty is exclusively other than condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract.
(l) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
(j) The nature of work is related to Flight safety. Hence no delay is acceptable.
(k) Minus price adjustmen shall be applicable if quantity of PME using less as specified and shall be work out based on paid voucher and market enquire.
(l) plus price adjustment shall be not applicable if quantity of PME Applied more as specified as per surface conditon is required.
Repair to existing construction joints/ Flexible pavement of size 10 to 20 mm wide and 25 cm depth (average) consisting of following activities
Raking out old decayed/damaged existing sealings compound and cleaning the joints thoroughly by removing dust, dirt foreign material by appropriate electric cutter / diamond cutter and Air Compressor. Note :- After cleaning the joints thoroughly, it shall got approved by GE before progressing further.
Removing the existing sealing composing from the edges, bottom and sides of the joints by cutting edges, bottom and sides of the joints 1 mm of the existing construction joints (upto full depth of existing joints) by mechanical tool (diamond cutter) to make the cross section of joint truly rectangular. Note :- Cleaning the edges/sides/bottom of joints by using diamond cutter only and clean surfaces shall got approved by GE. When the cleaning process approved by GE, primer and joint filling done in presence of Engr-in-Charge.
Once again cleaning the joints with compressed air and applying two primer coats upto the 10 to 15mm or above bake up rod depth & width of the existing joints after an interval of 30 minutes to complete prepred surface the joints.
Sealing the joints with polyurethane joints sealant/ X-Seal traffic loop resin type component flexible polyester loop lighting (upto 10 to 15mm or above bake up rod of existing joint) all as per manufacturers instruction including applying masking tap on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealent on top surface and removing the tap after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed.
Note :- (i) Material shall confirm to BS (manufacturer : FOSROC (COLPOR-200 gray) or Chemtallraj India Pvt Ltd. (RALLITHANE) OR STP Ltd (Shalifax PU) OR CICO OR Cippy ply seal. And CALIBUR Construction chemistey- X-seal traffic loop-power component.
(ii) Electric supply shall be arranged by the contractor at its own arrangements and rate deemed to be inclusive.
