Racking out the brick joints of walls, arches, etc.,to a depth of approximately 5cm for a wall thickness of 45cm and above to remove the dead mortar in between the brick joints and cleaning the surface with coir brush and washed with pure water etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Clean removal of saline action over the stone pillars, brick wall etc., will paper pulp treatment by using floating paper, deionizer water, plastic bucket, coir, brush etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Removing the existing vegetation growth in the Building by way of uprooting the plants manually and then drilling with power driller up to the root depth of plants obtain a clean and neat drill so as to continuously inspect and remove left over roots of vegetation growths and to inject pesticides into the holes so as to prevent further growth of vegetation in the future to safeguard the country old heritage building etc. The cost including the cost of pesticides used, hire charges of injecting machine for injecting chemicals, cost of tools and all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Strengthening the existing walls by providing grouting by formation of two holes of size 1" with required intervals - depth of 300mm for an area of 1 Sqm and depending upon the site conditions injecting lime slurry consisting of lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors added with grouting admixture by 2% weight of lime, by using required equipment and the rate includes the cost of all materials, labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Replastering ( base plastering) the brick wall, pillars and arches, etc., with lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) to a thickness of 30 mm laid in two layers of 15mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Replastering the ceiling, etc., with Lime mortar 1:1.5 (one Lime and one and half sand), 20mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors including labour charges, etc., complete complying with standard specifications as directed by the departmental officers.

Suppluing and fixing of Teakwood wrought & put-up for joist, beam, rafters and purlins, etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the Madras Terrace roof/ Mangalore tiles roof or any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of teakwood for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts in case of doors, windows and ventilators etc., and excluding cost of holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of wooden joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. Item to include all moulding and chamber to be made as per original design indicated by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of teakwood, labour charges for wrought and put-up to the existing clue/design, fixing in position to true alignment and gradient wherever necessary. Complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers (sample of teakwood to be shown to the Executive Engineer concerned for approval before use on work). Application of Solignum on the wooden surface should also be done. In all floors

Providing and fixing in position of cut stone bed blocks of size 1.20m x 0.50m x 0.20m using Cut stone for placing I-beams including cost of stone blocks,conveyance,lifting and placing in position as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and fixing of best quality and approved variety of ISMB girder of required size and section of make TATA or equivalent of size of various spans fixing below the madras terrace roof to support the roof in the places wherever necessary as directed by the departmental officers and fixed ISMB-girder ‘I’ Section over the bed blocks in the wall including cost of dismantling the brick work wherever necessary for fixing the ‘I’ Section and redoing the same and also the cost of ‘I’ Section labour charges hire charges for welding machineries, hoist for lifting and hire charges for hydraulic manuals Jacky and other allied tools etc., complete including the cost of porting of ISMB-girder ‘I’ section etc and one coat of red oxide primer etc., complete. The I beam has to be supported on brick wall using appropriate blocks so as to support the madras terrace roofing in all the floors etc., complete complying with standard specifications.(The make and brand of the ISMB girder I section should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works)

Redoing of Madras Terrace roof in all floors with one layer of brick on edge course laid as first layer over the existing Teakwood joists, Beams, I Sections, etc., which are placed at roof level in all floors using specially manufactured Terrace bricks for heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in lime mortar 1:1.5 (one lime and one and half sand). The second layer is laid with specially manufactured Terrace bricks for Heritage works of size 150mm x 75mm x 25mm in flat manner in lime mortar 1:2 ( one lime and t\wo sand) 20mm thick as base layer laid over the top of brick on edge course. Brick jelly lime concrete using broken brick jelly of size 20mm uniform gauge in pure slaked lime (no sand to be added) to the proportion of brick jelly to lime being 32:12.50 by volume laid over the second layer of terrace bricks for an average consolidated thickness of 100mm in a single layer of required slope/level as directed and finished by beating the concrete with wooden beaters of approved pattern, keeping the surface constantly wet by sprinkling lime jaggery (PALM JAGGERY) water. (Galnut of 10kg and jaggery of 10kg per one Sqm). The beating of the concrete is done continuously until the brick jelly lime concrete is well hardened. After ensuring the harden surface of brick jelly lime concrete, flat tiles of 150mm x 150mm x 25mm of specially manufactured superior quality to suit the heritage works is laid in two consecutive layers in lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two sand) 15mm thick for each layer of flat tiles. The base mortar provided for the top course of flat tiles is mixed with SBR (Synthetic Butadiene Rubber) Polymer at the rate of 0.5 litres for one Sqm is applied for water proofing chemical treatment including neat finishing

The Materials like Terrace bricks for the heritage work as from Thirukkattupalli and Pollachi lime should only be used. The period of interval between laying of I layer, II layer of terrace bricks, brick jelly lime concrete and flat tiles in two consecutive layers as directed by the departmental officers etc., complete complying with standard specifications. The Madras Terrae roof laid over the roof joist, beam, etc., is well embedded in the wall to the required distance as directed by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of all materials like terrace brick for heritage works, brick jelly 20mm, Pollachi lime, flat tiles and SBR chemicals and labour charges for laying all items of works). Pollachi lime should only be used for preparation of mortar, brick jelly lime concrete etc.. The Terrace bricks, flat tiles should got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works. The overall thickness of madras terrace roof laid is to be of 300mm as detailed below. Brick on edge course (I layer) = 75mm Base mortar for laying terrace bricks = 20mm Laying of terrace bricks (II layer) = 25mm Brick jelly lime concrete = 100mm Base mortar for flat tiles = 15mm Laying flat tiles(I course) = 25mm Base mortar for flat tiles (II layer) = 15mm Flat tiles (II course) = 25mm Total thickness = 300mm

Supplying and fixing sunshade of trapezoidal shape with new superior quality of teak wood, Mangalore tile roofing at the top. The sunshade if fixed on wall with teak wood of size 80mmx 100 mm fixed on the wall directly, additional inclined bracing provides on the sides of window using teak wood sized 80mm x 80mm , the top teak wood 50mm x 80mm in cross section from the wall is rested at end running member 80mm x 100mm . The top Mangalore tiles are rested on best teak wood reepers of size 50mm x 25mm . the rate inclusive of cost of dismantling damaged tile, teak wood members without damaging to the wall, refixing, labour charges, but excluding of scaffolding charges, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and fixing best quality of Bison cement bonded particle Board 10mm thick including labour charges for fixing the board including painting charges etc. complete complying with standard specification.

Renewing and fixing eaves board of size 25cm x 2cm using teakwood of best quality as per existing style including cost of teakwood, labour wrought and put-up, labour charges for fixing in position etc. complete complying with standard specification

Grouting and stitching the cracked wall and arches by toothing method including required special bricks of size 8"x4"x2" wherever necessary cutting of groove and fixing of key stone of size 900mmx230mmx200mm in horizontal and finishing the surface with lime mortar as per original etc. excluding errection of scaffolding all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Finishing the top of roof with one course of machine pressed tiles of size 230mm x 230mm x 20mm of approved quality set in Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three Sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to ISS at 2% by weight of cement used and the joints pointed neatly to full depth of tiles with the same cement mortar mixed with red oxide and water proofing compound including curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Renewing and fixing 1/3rd panelled and 2/3rd glazed door shutter by using well seasoned teakwood of superior quality and approved variety as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer In Charge. The door shutters is made with 1/3rd panelled shutters at bottom and 2/3rd glazed shutter at top. The door shutter is made with two number of 75mm x 35mm size vertical styles, top rail, lock rails and bottom rail of size 80mm x 35mm , 200mm x 35mm, 120mm x 35mm respectively. The bottom 1/3rd portion of door shutter panels is covered with teakwood planks of 35mm thick and top 2/3rd portion of the shutter panels is covered with 4mm thick plain glass. The 4mm thick plain glass is fixed with teakwood reepers of size 35mm x 30mm on both sides so as to divide the glass panels as 5 parts. Item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. Item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officers.(The rate inclusive of cost of all teakwood materials, labour wrought and put-up of door shutters, cost of all furniture fittings, cost of 4mm thick plain glass, labour charges for fixing the shutters in position etc., complete complying with standard specifications.

Renewing and fixing fully glazed shutters for windows openable type by using well seasoned teakwood of superior quality as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer In Charge. The window shutter is made of vertical styles of size 80mm x 30mm. Both top and bottom rail is of size 80mm x 30mm. The window shutter panels is covered with 4mm thick plain glass which is fixed with teakwood reepers scantling of size 35mm x 30mm on both sides and the glass panel is divided into 6 parts. Item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. Item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officers.(The rate inclusive of cost of all teakwood materials, labour wrought and put-up of door shutters, cost of all furniture fittings, cost of 4mm thick plain glass, labour charges for fixing the shutters in position etc., complete complying with standard specifications)

Renewing and fixing of glazed ventilator with new Teak wood glazed ventilator of size 1.20m x 0.60m by using Teak wood scanting thickness of size 0.04m frames fixed with 4mm thick pin headed glass including labour for wrought put up and fixing the ventilator in position with necessary furniture fittings including with neat finishing etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and fixing MS grills for doors, windows and ventilators of approved design and as directed by the departmental officers including cost of MS grills labour charges and cost of one of red oxide primer coat etc., complete complying with std. specification.

Supplying and Erecting manually operated Pull and Push Type Rolling Shutter with ISI make of approved size and section using 18 GI sheet. The shutter shall be painted with one coat of red oxide primer and the rate is inclusive of hood covers, transportation charges etc. complete complying with std. specification.

Painting new iron works such as steel doors, windows, ventilators, window bars, balustrades etc., with two coats of best approved first quality and colour of synthetic enamel paint over the existing red oxide priming coat in all floors excluding cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)

Revarnishing with old/ new wood work with two coats of best melamine varnish of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface etc.. The rate is inclusive the cost of all material, labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Painting wood work with two finishing coats of synthetic enamel ready mixed paint of good quality and approved variety and colour over one coat priming coat in all floors including the cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)

Providing and laying of best approved quality fine polished Granite Stone Slabs of size 1200 x 600 of 18 / 20mm thick of Granite slabs (super fine polished with machine cut edges )Jet black and similar varieties with machine cut edges laid over a cement mortar bed of 20mm thick using cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three sand) fixing the slabs with required cement slurry and laid in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with mathcing colouring pigments etc., The granite stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard specification.

Laying Brick jelly lime concrete in lime mortar 1:2 ( One lime and two brick jelly ) (no sand to be added) using 20 mm gauge brick jelly for foundation, flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing two legged scaffolding using 48.30mm dia heavy duty MS pipe over all height of 3.00m the distance between 2 legs being 1.25m and the spacing of the post being 2m in each rows and providing platform with C.W. planks using 40mm thick silver oak and 1.00m wide in complete form with horizontal bracings @ 1.50m c/c vertical direction and with cross bracings using same 48.30mm dia including cutting, threading assembly with red oxide primer, labour charges cost of specials such on large plate, shoe, carcher, coupling, bolt and nut transportation charges. The bottom of vertical post shall rest on 300x300x70mm 1:2:4 concrete base etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and erecting centering for sides and soffits including necessary supports and strutting upto 3.29 M height for plane surfaces as detailed below in all floors with all cross bracings using Mild Steel sheets of size 90 x 60 cm and 10 BG stiffened with welded Mild Steel angle of size 25mm x 25mm x 3 mm for boarding laid over silver oak joists of size 10cm x 6.50 cm spaced at above 90 cm centre to centre and supported by casurina props of 10cm to 13 cm dia spaced at not more than 75 cm centre to centre etc. complete complying with the standard specification. Providing additional strutting to centering of RCC slabs of plain surface for every additional 1.0 metre height or part thereof but not less than 30 cm, over the initial 3.00 metre height from floor level using casurina props of 10cm to 13cm dia including cross bracing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the department officers.

Supplying and fixing in position best approved of BIS quality PVC rain water down fall pipes of size 110mm dia having a pressure of 4 kg. / Sq.cm including cost of necessary PVC shoe, PVC bend, cast iron gratings of required diameter and special clamps, brass screws, nails, etc., and fixing of cast iron gratings at junction of parapet and the roof slab including finishing neatly etc., complete. The rate shall be inclusive of cast of removable cast iron grating. The PVC pipe shall be fixed in wall with special type of "U" clamp at the centre of the pipe line in addition to those for more than 3.0 meter pipe length, etc., complete complying with standard specification.

White washing three coats of ceiling with freshly burnt white shell lime (Pollachi lime) in all floors including cost of lime, blue powder fevicol type gum, brushes, The rate inclusive of cost of all materials and labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers

Painting two coats of plastered wall (Inner walls) surface with ready mixed plastic emulsion paint of first class quality and of approved colour over a priming coat including thorough scrapping, clean removal of dirt, and including necessary plaster of paris putty, wherever required etc., complete complying with standard specification.

Dadooing the wall with natural rough granite stone tile of best approved quality and size , over a plastered surface of 20 mm thick Cement Mortar1:3 (One Cement and three crushed stone sand)as levelling layer and set in Cement Mortar 1:2 (One Cement and Two crushed stone sand) 10mm thick and pointing the joints with white cement neatly in all floors, curing, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Cleaning cut stones/stone cladding using high pressure gauge gun with compressor machine with necessary scrapping charges for old painting materials and other unwanted silt and dust after cleaning with smooth surface from bottom to top cut stone with good looking condition without any damage of the existing stone of the heritage building. The rate is inclusive of cost of materials, labour charges, transporting charges and hire charges for compressor machine and pressure gauge gan machine set with necessary lifting charges etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers.

Polishing the stone wall / column surface with two coats of water repellent solution of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface using high pressure water jet . The rate inclusive the cost of all materials, Labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete as directed by the departmental officers. The materials should be got approved by Executive Engineer before use on works.

Supplying and fixing in position of Shade Net (Green Net) using vertical protection for under construction / High-rise building. The net standard size is 3mx50m &5mx50m. The rate is inclusive cost of Agro Shade Net, binding wire(or) cable tie, Labour charges for fixing in position and neatly etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Labour charges for supplying and fixing of hoisting machine by hire basis for lifting of all materials from ground to terrace and shifting of damaged unused materials from terrace to ground floor with necessary rope, heisting platform, motor, controller as per site requirement days etc., the rate is inclusive of hire charges for machine, labour charges for operating the machine and daily Bata and conveyance charges and dismantling and removing the same after completion of work etc complete with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Construction of mortar pit of inner size 0.90m x 0.45m with brick partition wall 11.50cm thick in cement mortar 1:3 (one cement and three sand) for 60cm height with necessary earth work open excavation for a size of 1.43m x 0.98m to a depth of 0.91m and sand filling for 15cm thick, Plain Cement Concrete 1:5:10 (one cement, five sand and ten 40mm HBG stone jelly), 8cm thick with plastering 1:5 (one cement and sand), 12mm thick on both sides and top etc., complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing pest control with antitermite treatment drilling holes at junction of walls with floors at 300mm intervals and injecting chemical emulsion on those with cement etc. making holes along the vertical surface out side the walls at 150mm intervals to the depth of 450mm pointing chemical emulsion into the holes and closing holes with chemical etc. spraying all surface of treatment is to be done as per IS code no:5313/ Part III 1981 with approved chemical.(The chemical is to be used on the work should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on work) etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and laying of Inter Locking Paver Block stone 83mm thick over a base layer of sand filling including cost of materials laying and labour charges etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing temporary barricading arrangements all-round the the site using PPGI sheet of 0.47mmthick shall be fixed in the frame for made out of required height using 50mmx50mm x2.60mm square MS tubes vertical strut placed and Horizontal 32mmx32mmx2.60mm thick M.S. tubes at 1.20m interval with necessary screws and welding including cost of conveyance of all required materials to work site, erecting work, cost of J- bolts washers, cement concrete bed 45cmx45cmx90cm in Plain Cement concrete 1:2:4 and including labour charges etc complete., The barricading arrangements are made to prevent the entry of public into the site is very dangerous due to the fallen roof with necessary door arrangements for staffs and labour etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers. [The barricade will remain in the same location till the completion of the project and No additional charges shall be paid for the extended period of contract]

Collecting the fallen damaged Madras terrace roof with includes brick on edge, flat tiles 3 layers, weathering course and intermediate lime layers, segregating them and conveyance for the inside of the building to the out side stack yard point by specialized labour by head load with necessary preventive and precautionary measures with helmet, safety belts and ropes, and from the stack yard these debris are conveyed by tipper lorries with help of JCB as on when required and as directed by the departmental officers.

Collecting the scattered debris from the campus and conveying away the same to outside by lorry to a lead of 9km including loading and unloading charges and dumping in low places and levelling etc., Complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Manufacturing, Supplying and Fixing of Stainless Steel Hand rails for staircase using 50mm dia 304L Grade Stainless Steel pipe of 1.60mm thick at required locations to a height of 900mm from finished floor level welded to 38mm dia Stainless Steel pipe post of 1.00mm thick as vertical at 900mm centre with 2 Nos. of 25mm dia intermediate horizontal stainless steel pipe of 1.60mm thick in between. The vertical pipe has to be welded to the 100 X 100 X 6mm MS base plate encased in the base concrete. The rate is inclusive of the charges for cutting, bending, welding, grinding, polishing, conveyance, electrical charges, etc. complete complying with standard specification as directed by the departmental officers.
