| 1.00 | Demolition and complete removal of existing overhead
service reservoir located on vacant land near Sanjay
Park, including all associated structures, foundations,
and appurtenances. The work shall be executed with
proper safety measures and precautions as specified
herein.
Scope of Work
The scope includes but is not limited to the following:
Preparatory Works:
• Site mobilization and establishment of work zone
barricading
• Conducting structural stability assessment before
commencement of demolition
Safety Arrangements:
• Erection of scaffolding, working platforms, and
staging as required for safe demolition operations at
various levels
• Installation of safety nets, catch platforms, and debris
chutes
• Provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) for
all workers including safety helmets, harnesses, safety
shoes, and dust masks
• Deployment of trained safety supervisors and
implementation of safety protocols
• Erection of warning signages, caution boards, and
hazard indicators around the work area
• Provision of first aid facilities and emergency response
arrangements
Utility Disconnections:
• Safe disconnection and capping of all water supply
lines, inlet and outlet pipelines
• Disconnection of electrical connections, if any, by
authorized electricians
• Plugging or sealing of drainage connections
• Coordination with utility departments for permanent
disconnection
Dust Suppression Measures:
• Continuous water sprinkling during demolition
activities to suppress dust generation
• Provision of mist spray systems at demolition points
• Covering of debris with tarpaulin sheets during nonworking hours
• Use of appropriate demolition techniques to minimize
dust pollution
Demolition Operations:
• Systematic dismantling of overhead reservoir structure
starting from top to bottom
• Removal of roof slab, walls, columns, beams, and
foundation in controlled manner
• Breaking of RCC/masonry using appropriate tools and
machinery
• Careful demolition ensuring no damage to adjoining
roads, drains, boundary walls, trees, or existing utilities
Debris Handling and Disposal:
• Collection, segregation, and loading of all demolition
debris including concrete, masonry, steel, and other
materials
• Transportation of debris to approved disposal sites or
contractor`s premises
• Complete clearing of site leaving it clean and level
• Backfilling of foundation excavations with approved
material and compaction
Site Restoration:
• Removal of all scaffolding, platforms, and temporary structures
• Cleaning of adjoining areas from spillage or debris
• Repair of any inadvertent minor damages to roads or
drains
• Leveling and dressing of site as directed by Engineerin-charge
Material Ownership
All materials obtained from demolition including but
not limited to concrete rubble, bricks, stone, sand, steel
reinforcement, structural steel, fixtures, and any other
salvageable or non-salvageable materials shall become
the absolute property of the contractor. The contractor
shall remove all such materials from site at his own cost
and dispose of. No separate payment shall be made for
such materials and the contractor shall quote rates
accordingly considering the value of salvaged materials. Quality and Compliance
• All work shall be executed strictly as per IS Codes, NBC provisions, and local municipal regulations
• Work shall be carried out under constant supervision ensuring quality and safety standards
• Contractor shall obtain all necessary permissions, NOCs, and clearances from competent authorities
• Work shall be executed to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge
• Any deficiency or damage caused due to contractor`s negligence shall be rectified at contractor`s cost
