Annual Maintenance Contract for cutting and clearing of grass and vegetation in CATC Prayagraj Campus

Cutting of grass, jungle, uprooting of bushes, wild vegetations, creepers, wild saplings and weed trees girth upto 100 mm by mechanical/ manual means as per direction and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. Mechanically, the work shall be done using Tractors of minimum 65 HP attached with Mulcher mower assembly capable to cut the grass / bush in normal ground as well as undulated ground having scattered stones (if any) etc. The tractors shall have valid registration papers, valid insurance, valid fitness certificate. The quoted cost shall include cost of tractors with mulcher assembly, skilled drivers, helper and fuel for executing the works in all tractor approachable areas of entire CATC Campus. All required T&P including tractor shall be provided by the agency for safe and uninterrupted operation of tractor. In such areas where cutting of grass using tractor - mulcher cannot be done due to inaccessible site conditions/ restrictions and for balance areas leftover at corners and edges after operation of Tractor-Mulcher, grass cutting in those areas shall be done by hand held battery/ fuel operated brush cutting machines having sufficient capacity to cut thick vegetation and shall have minimum run-time of atleast 03 hours in one stretch of operation including providing machine operator, fuel and all kind of blades/wires required as per machine specifications for cutting grass. Wherever required uprooting of bushes & plants, grass cutting using talwar, removal of scattered stones and placing in isolated locations to support mulcher/ hand held brush cutter operation, which require manual labour shall be done using sufficient manual labour and the contractor must include its cost in the quoted rate for grass cutting. The cleared grass/jungle/wild vegetation/ bushes and creepers should be disposed off upto a lead of 2 km within CATC, campus by Hydraulic Tractor trolley disposing within 2 km with all lead and lift,including providing JCB with driver and fuel as and when required for loading of already cut vegetation in trolley for disposal. Only plan area wil be measured for payment and rates shall be all inclusive of Tractor-Mulcher assembly, JCB, drivers, machiner operators, labour, fuel, lubricants, hand held machinery, talwars and other minor tools etc. Nothing Extra shall be paid on account of repair & servicing cost of machinery/ replacement of any damaged machinery part.

Mechanical / Manual Trimming of trees including cutting of branches for all heights and stacking of serviceable material at specified locations within leads upto 50 mtr after cutting of branches/ stumps/ logs on ground with manual saw/ electric saw cutter blade machines and disposal of unserviceable material as desired by engineer in charge. Final vertical projection of trimmed trees should be within 6.0 mtrs height and horizontal projection to be such that the adajacent equipment installation / Building / Structure are at distance adequate for safety of structure/ individuals. For Trees with Height upto 10 mtrs and Girth of Tree (measured at height of 1.0 mtr from NGL) beyond 600 mm and upto and including 1200 mm. Note : For payment purpose Each tree shall be counted only once, irrespective of no of branches trimmed each time.

Note : For payment purpose Each tree shall be counted only once, irrespective of no of branches trimmed each time.

Add for Extra Height for trimming of trees of any girth with height more than 10 metre, to cover additional cost for Extra height over and above already measured and paid Quantity in respective items of trimming of trees with height less than 10 metres. For payment purpose, extra height per metre or part thereof shall be measured after deducting height of 10 metres.

Mechanized/ Manual Cutting of trunks/branches of self fallen or uprooted trees (of all girth) due to wind storm/ high winds/ heavy rain or due to rottening/ self defects in woods, into sizes upto lengths of 1.0 mtr and stacking at site within lead upto 50.0 metre.
