Servicing/ Periodical maintenance of following capacity DG Set of any make consisting of complete servicing and checking entire system as per manufacturer's catalogue including testing complete with replacing of minor consumable items like grease, nut bolts etc during conducting periodic servicing as per the manufacturer's recommendation at the time of routine monthly checks. Capacity 05 to 15 KVA DG Set - Location :- Immols (East)/Power House /IMH area & MGR- 04 No Maintenance Schedule of DG Sets :- The contractor shall carried out following activity during the period of contract :-
(a) Daily maintenance of DG Sets to be carried out :-
(i) Clean the external surface of the DG set.
(ii) Check engine oil level.
(iii) Check engine coolant level.
(iv) Check fuel in the tank.
(v) Check all nuts and bolts.
(vi) Check tension of fan belts.
(vii) Check batteries and battery connections.
(viii) Check fuel lines and fuel tank.
(b) Weekly maintenance of AMF Panels :-
(i) Checking all electrical connections.
(ii) Checking all contact points/ Bus bars.
(iii) Checking timers (AC/ DC).
(v) Check RPM, Voltage, Amps and Hz.
(vi) Checking indicator lamps.
(vii) Checking main auxiliary contacts and relays.
(viii) Checking contact coils.
(ix) Checking, volt/ amps/ energy/ PF/ KWH meters/ CT's.
(x) Checking auto/ manual functions.
(xi) Check and tight screws and bolts.
(xii) Check battery charger output voltage.
(xiii) Cleaning the panel.
(xiv) Checking all MCCB's and fuses.
(xv) Checking alarms and hooter.
(c) Monthly maintenance of DG Sets to be carried out :-
(i) Check oil bath cleaner oil level.
(ii) Check for proper tension in the belts.
(iii) Check starting battery electrolyte level and specific gravity.
(iv) Check the fuel lines from the tank for leakages.
(v) Check the end cover of the alternator and tighten the bolts.
(vi) Check physically the exhaust silencer for rigidness.
(vii) Check the water hoses for leakages if any.
(viii) Drain sediment from fuel filter & fuel tank.
(ix) Check dry type air filter element and clean.
(x) Check engine alternator coupling and mounting bolts.
(xi) Tight all bolts and nuts in alternator terminal box.
(xii) Check for any unusual sound during cranking of the engine.
(xiii) Check for any fuel/ water leakages.
(xiv) Check for any unusual vibrations.
(xv) Check proper charging of battery.
(xvi) Check exhaust system for any leakages.
(xvii) Check for proper circulation of coolant/ cooling of engine.
(xviii) Check physically the exhaust silencer for rigidness.
(xix) Check throttles linkage.
(xx) Checking to electric control panel throttle linkage.
(xxi) Supply and greasing to all bearing & movable parts.
(d) Quaterly Schedule to be carried out :-
(i) Checking of hydraulic governor oil level and toping up level.
(ii) Clean the crank case breather.
(iii) Check battery charging system & topping up electrolyte and maintenance of specific gravity.
(iv) Checking electric connection & generator control panel.
(v) Greasing to all bearing and movable parts.
Note :- The unit rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of the followings :-
(a) DG Sets are placed at various locations of East, West area of AFS Jalahalli Therefore,the bidders are advised to visit the location of DG Sets before quoting the tender.
(b) Servicing/ repair of DG Set shall be carried out by authorised dealer/ agency of manufacturer as approved by Engineer-in-Charge and where service/ repair is being carried out at site shall be under the expert supervision of authorised service agent.
(c) The make of DG sets are Kirloskar/ Ashok Leyland/ Greaves Cotton/Mahendra/ Cummins
(f) DHPP (N) required at the time of maintenance/ testing will be issued by MES.
(g) Representative of contractor shall maintain & update the maintenance/ breakdown register regularly and same will be checked by Engineer-in-Charge periodically.
(h) The monthly check shall be done once in a month but whenever breakdown occurs in DG set, the contractor has to attend all complaint unlimitedly through authorised service agent of the equipment/ machinery.
(j) The unit rate is deemed to be included for Cleaning of the surrounding area of DG set upto 5 mtr from plinth protection of E/M installations including removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth upto 15cm cleaning / Cutting the grass with hand operated petrol/ kerosene driven grass cutting machine and removing the grass waste to outside MD land.
(k) In case of minor defect, entire Job shall be completed within 06 hrs from the time of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @ Rs. 500/- per hours shall be recovered from the contractor.
(l) In case of major defect, the period for attending of complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC by assessing the extent of repair required through joint inspection by Engineer-in-Charge and authorised service agent of the equipment at the site. If complaint is not rectified within the stipulated period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay, then penalty at the rate of Rs. 600/- per hours shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor.
(m) Please note that above penalty is exclusively other than the condition 67 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforced as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt.
(n) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
(o) The contractor shall be responsible to maintain the DG set in serviceable condition for entire contract period.

Dismantling/ taking down complete radiator assembly of 15 KVA to 30 KVA DG Set and transportation to authorised workshop for following repairs :- (a) Opening the radiator assembly with brazing/ welding for repair/ service. (b) Cleaning of all water tube with diluted solution of HCL and cleaning with water pressure and removing the sludge and dust from inside the tank by flushing out. (c) Determining the leak/ puncher in radiator tubes. (d) Repair of fins by soldering/ brazing. (e) Repair of bottom brass water tank by soldering/ brazing. (f) Repair of radiator hose assembly. (g) Fixing the complete radiator assembly to its original position and testing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

(g) Fixing the complete radiator assembly to its original position and testing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement of AMF Panel suitable for DG Set 15/25 KVA capacity fabrication of CRCA Sheet including AMF Controller , Contractor and suitable size of MCB and complete all as specified and directed.
Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising of 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation including taking down existing one, complete all as specified and directed.
(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.
(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor along with the sample approval
(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH value should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.
(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concerned.
(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.
(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.
(x) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.
(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.
(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained.
(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing for each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor from final bill for the guarantee period.
(xiv) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .
(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.
(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.
(xvii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.
(xviii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bounded rod to ensure genuineness of material.
(xix) Sign board of mild steel sheet 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing shall be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.
M&L in repair Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 7.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm for each electrode pit, including taking down old u/s earth pit cover, complete all as specified and directed.
S&F in repair copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing old unserviceable copper strip of any description, complete all as specified and directed. Note : - All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.
Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of floor mounted, free standing OEM made type tested LT Feeder pillar panels, with canopy, as per electrical specifications for outdoor installation to be made of CPRI approved IP65 Polycarbonate modular enclosures. The enclosures made of polycarbonate, should be weather/vermin proof, anti -acid, anti-corrossive, UV resistance in accordance with IEC 61439-1, fire retardant and self extingushing in accordance with IEC 60695-2-11, UL subject 94 for flammability V-0, should pass glow wire test for 960 degree in accoardance with 60695-2-11.Degree of protection against mechanical load should be IK08 (5 Joule) in accordance with IEC 62262,IP65 in accordance with IEC-60529 and IEC- 60439-1, should have dielectric properties, RoHS compliants & Halogen free. The manufacturer of boards/panels shall submit a copy of type test reports as per above mentioned norms either from UL/ERDA/CPRI/NABL labs in india.The panel should be modular and compartmentalized in construction with opaque and transparent doors, properly tightened to base with thermoplastic screws having sealing gaskets of extruded silicon rubber to withstand adverse weather effects. The depth of modular enclosure should be above 200mm for air circulation & to minimize temp rise. Panel should be fitted with one No. polycarbonate IP 65, 9 W LED translucent bulk head luminaire color lamp not less than 6500K, PF > 0.95 under canopy for easy maintenance. Panel shall be fitted outside with one No. of 16 Amp 3 Pole IP65 industrial socket and 01 No. of 32Amp 5P IP 65 industrial socket. 3 Phase and neutral 250 Amp current carrying capacity of aluminium bus bar insulated with colour coded heat shrinkable sleeves with SMC/DMC insulators,complete with the following switch gears and mounting the panel board on ground with PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 using 20mm graded aggregate for bedding upto a height of 45 CM above ground level, complete all as speified and directed and comprising of the following:-
Note :- An amount of Rs 70,834.00 on account of credit schedule for schedule 'A' part II shall be deducted from the total amount of BOQ to arrive at the contract sum.
