Specification
Removing / transporting the surplus excavated earth including debris, vegetation waste, etc., to a distance upto 5000m / outside HAL premises / to contractor's own yard including loading, unloading, depositing, spreading, levelling, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Disposal of moorum / building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste material by mechanical transport including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground for lead upto 10 km for all lifts, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas in all kinds of soft / hard soil for foundations, footings, column pedestals or members as per the drawing, etc., (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.50m in width as well as 10Sq m on plan) including removal of vegetation and in-equalities, shoring, strutting for protecting the sides of foundation if required, removing slips or falls in excavation, forming steps in sides of deep excavations and their removal or covering up, levelling, ramming the bottom of excavation, getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50m and lift upto 1.50m with all labour, tools & tackles, plant & machinery, hire & fuel charges, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning / filling in with useful excavated soil (excluding rock), free from salts, organic or other deleterious matter (Other than black cotton soil & rock, etc., in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations, etc., spreading in layers not exceeding 20cm thick, watering, breaking / removing clods exceeding 50mm, ramming and consolidation of each deposited layer, etc., with all labour, tools & tackles, plant & machinery, etc., lead upto 50m and for all lifts, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Supplying, mixing and placing plain cement concrete (1:2:4) (1 Cement : 2 coarse sand derived from natural sources : 4 graded stone aggregate) of required thickness using 20mm nominal size down graded hard stone/granite aggregate in accordance with IS 456 in Cills, fillets, coping, etc., upto floor five level, including formwork, mechanical mixing, transporting, vibrating, consolidation, levelling, curing, dewatering if any, all materials, labour, lead & lift, tools, plant & machinery, keeping concrete well wetted during the curing period and protecting it in extreme weather conditions, etc., but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing, etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Supplying, mixing and placing plain cement concrete (1:4:8) (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 8 graded stone aggregate) of required thickness using 40mm down graded hard stone / granite aggregate in accordance with IS 456 in foundations, mass concrete, sub bases and other similar works including formwork, mechanical mixing, transporting, vibrating, consolidation, levelling, curing, dewatering if any, all materials, labour, lead & lift, tools, plant & machinery, keeping concrete well wetted during the curing period and protecting it in extreme weather conditions, etc., but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Making plinth protection 50mm thick of cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 6 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size derived from natural sources) over 75mm thick bed of dry brick ballast 40mm nominal size, well rammed and consolidated and grouted with fine sand, including necessary curing, excavation, levelling & dressing & finishing the top smooth, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Formwork (Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc, and removal of form) for the following RCC members which are defined as below, in fair finished by providing timber, wooden planks, runners / M.S. sheets with all supports, struts, braces, wedges, scaffolds, bracings, ladders, gangways, dressing with oil including M.S. bolts nuts and washers, temporary openings, filleting for a stop, chamfered edges, internal / external splayed, rounded angles or grooves for forming throating including making temporary openings in the forms for pouring concrete etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for the sub-items mentioned below. Note: Formwork material is contractor's own property and shall be removed after completion of work.
Foundations, footings, bases of columns, etc., for mass concrete
Walls (any thickness) including attached pilasters, butteresses, plinth and string courses, etc.,
For Roofs, landings, Slabs supported on walls, roof landings, balconies, access platforms, canopies, decks, etc,
Lintels, Beams, etc.,
For Columns, Pillars, Piers, etc.,
Supplying, straightening, fabricating (cutting & bending), placing in position and binding steel reinforcement of TMT bars of not less than Fe 500 D conforming to IS 1786 for all concrete reinforcment members / works above/below plinth level, including cutting to length, bending to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for column, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (Annealed) not less than 0.90mm dia or securing with clips, including fixing and bracing, wastage, welding, supporting or otherwise holding firmly in position so that the placing and ramming of concrete will not displace it etc., complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: a) Only authorized laps, chairs etc. shall be considered for measurement. b) The exposed Reinforcement bars shall be coated with cement slurry.
Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched M25 Grade with minimum cement content of 330 kg/m3 design mix cement concrete for reinforced cement concrete work; using coarseaggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, PortlandPozzolana / Ordinary Portland /Portland Slag cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, consolidation, levelling, curing, scaffolding, all materials, labour, carriage for all leads & lifts; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) Site design mix to be obtained from Govt. / NABL laboratory for site batching concrete. (ii) Small quantity is as approved by EIC in volumetric proportion.
All works upto plinth level including necessary openings and packing if any for laying pipes, cables, etc.,
All works above plinth level upto floor V level including necessary openings and packing if any for laying pipes, cables, etc.,
Brick work with common burnt clay F.P.S. (non modular) bricks of class designation 7.5 in superstructure above plinth level up to floor V level in all shapes and sizes, including hoisting and setting in position with cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6 coarse sand) and along with necessary finishing, making or leaving holes & chases and making good, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and fixing stainless steel (Grade 304) railing made of Hollow tubes, channels, plates, etc., including welding, grinding, buffing, polishing and making curvature (wherever required) and fitting the same with necessary stainless steel nuts and bolts complete, including fixing the railing with necessary accessories & stainless steel dash fasteners, stainless bolts, etc., of required size, on the top of the floor or the side of waist slab or to the sides of corridor with suitable arrangement as per approval of Engineer-in-Charge. (for payment purpose only weight of stainless steel members shall be considered excluding fixing accessories such as nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc.,)
Providing and laying flamed finish Granite stone of Jet Black, Cherry Red, Elite Brown, Cat Eye or equivalent colour flooring in required design and patterns, pathways, flooring,walls, etc., in linear as well as curvilinear portions of the building all complete as per the architectural drawings with 18mm thick stone slab over 20mm (average) thick base of cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) laid and jointed with cement slurry and pointing with white cement slurry admixed with pigment of matching shade including rubbing, curing and polishing, round nosing, etc., all complete as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying Polished Granite stone slab of 18mm thick all colours and texture in required design and pattern for wall lining over 12mm thick bed cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and cement slurry @ 3.3 kg/Sq m including pointing with pigment and white cement all complete including staging /scaffolding etc., curing, polishing, round nosing etc., all complete as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing, fixing, testing and commissioning single socketed pipes of 110mm dia, on wall face unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes of 6 kg/cm² SWR grade and of approved make conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing together with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10mm gap for thermal expansion and all necessary fittings & specials, bends, branches, sockets, clamps, pipe cutting and wastages, cutting and making good the walls, connecting to existing lines, etc., along with removal of existing rain water pipes, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing, applying and laying 12mm thick cement plaster work in for internal / External areas of Ceilings, Chajjas etc in CM (1:4) including forming grooves not exceedingt 10mm wide and not exceeding 10mm deep as per requirement as directed including preparation of surface by hacking, etc., at all levels with necesary materials, labour, scaffoldings, curing, tools and tackles, plants, etc., threading if any as directed, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing, applying and laying cement mortar (1:6) plastering 15mm thick on brick / solid blocks / concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth with trowel for Internal walls etc., including supply and fixing of hexagonal chicken mesh minimum 150mm wide having opening [20 x 20]mm of 26 gauge at juncitons of concrete & brick work or between different material, including making grooves as per the requirement not exceeding 10mm width and not exceeding 10mm deep with necesary materials, labour, scaffolding, curing, tools and tackles, etc., at all heights, all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing, applying and laying 18mm thick cement plaster work in two coats for external areas as directed. First coat 12mm thick in cement mortar (1:5) made rough to recieve top coat, second coat 6mm thick in cement mortar (1:6), final surface finished with a floating coat of neat cement after necessary preparation of surface, at all levels including supply and fixing of hexagonal chicken mesh minimum 150mm wide having opening [20 x 20]mm of 26 gauge at juncitons of concrete & brick work or between different material, with necesary materials, labour, scaffoldings, curing, tools and tackles, plants, etc., threading if any as directed, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Painting the exterior walls with two coats of Premium Acrylic Smooth exterior paint with silicone additives of required shade including preparation of the surfaces, new work ( two or more coats applied @ 1.43 Ltr/ 10 Sq m over and including priming coat of exterior wall primer applied @ 0.9 ltr / 10 Sq m, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Painting the Interior Walls and finishing with deluxe multi surface paint system for interiors using primer as per manufacturer specification, applying two or more coats applied on walls @1.25 ltr/ 10 Sq m over and including one coat of special primer applied @0.75 ltr/ Sq m, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Laying and compacting of granular sub-base in flooring, subbases, ramps, with material conforming to Grade-III (size range 26.50mm to 0.075mm) having CBR value of 20 upto plinth level of requisite grading by providing close graded Material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1mm of apporved brand and manufacturer over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Demolishing brick work manually / by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 metres lead, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Dismantling doors, windows and clerestory windows (steel or wood) shutter including chowkhats, architrave, holdfasts, etc., complete and stacking within 50 metres lead of area beyond 3 Sq m, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Dismantling steel work in single sections including dismembering and stacking within 50 metres lead in Channels, angles, tees and flats, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators with Powder coated aluminium windows (minimum thickness of powder coating 50 micron) & ventilators in moving position including providing and fixing hinges / pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings like u clamps, etc., wherever required including the cost of EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket required, etc., all complete as per the architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and fixing glazing in aluminium / upvc door, window, ventilator shutters and partitions, etc., With float glass panes of 5mm thickness (weight not less than 12.50 kg/Sq m) along with EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket, etc., all complete as per the architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
Demolishing of cement concrete manually / by mechnical means including disposal of material wihtin 50m lead as per direction of EIC for the nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (including equivalent design mix), etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Supplying, fabrcating and fixing of Steel work in built up sections / framed work inlcuding cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer using structural steel etc as required for gratings, frames, guard bars, ladder , railings , brackets , gates and similar works, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying Integral cement based water proofing treatment With average thickness of 120mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65mm including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, (a) Applying a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg/Sq m of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS. 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-Charge over the RCC slab including adjoining walls upto 300mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. (b) Laying brick bats with mortar using broken bricks / brick bats 25mm to 115 mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-Charge over 20mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:5 (1 cement :5 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineerin- charge to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls upto 300mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs. (c) After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry using 2.75 kg/Sq m of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-Charge.

Earthing
Supply & providing GI earth stations using 600 x 600x 6.3 mm thick G.I plate electrode at 2.5 mtr below the ground level with 20mm dia class B G.I pipe for watering, G.I funnel etc. & Cement concrete base of minimum size 750x750x100mm thick shall be provided using 1:2:6 CC after necessary excavation, refilling of soil, consolidating, ramming, leveling of soil etc. and providing cement concrete chamber of inside dimension 300x300x300mm with a wall thickness of 120mm using 1:2:6 CC above the base concrete including providing 50mm thick RCC cover including required salt & charcoal, 2 runs of 50x6 mm G.I strip from plate electrode upto top of the chamber etc. as per technical specification enclosed with the tender & as per IS 3043 complete in all respects.
Supplying & laying 25 mm X 5 mm GI strip at 0.50 metre below ground/on wall as strip earth electrode, including connection / terminating with G.I nut, bolt, spring, washer etc. as required. (Jointing shall be done by overlapping and with 2 sets of GI nut bolt & spring washer spaced at 50mm)
Providing and fixing 6 SWG dia G.I. wire on surface or in recess for loop earthing along with existing surface / recessed conduit / submain wiring / cable as required.
