Providing and filling in low-lying / backfill areas with approved self compacting controlled low strength material (Fillcrete with 1 cement : 28.58 crushed / manufactured sand : 0.429 fly ash : 0.0287 admixture mix) & flowable consistency comprising of cement, crushed / manufactured sand, fly ash & admixtures in the recommended proportions as specified below including mixing with water to achieve water cement ratio as approved, including loading, mechanical transportation, unloading, mixing, pumping, laying in layers, levelling all equipment, labour, supervision, scaffolding / staging for all leads, heights & levels etc. complete as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge
Supplying, stacking and laying of 230 mm thick rubble soling stones as under floor base including packing with smaller stone and compacting, ramming including spreading and consolidation of blinding material, moorum etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge with outside material Note : a) The contractor’s quoted rate for approved rubble brought from outside shall include the royalty as per the prevailing Government rates. Any increase in prevailing rate of Royalty shall beborne by the Contractor at no extra cost to the Owner.
Providing and laying integral cement based treatment for water proofing on horizontal surface at all depth below ground level for under ground structures as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and consisting of : (i) Ist layer of 22 mm to 25 mm thick approved and specified rough stone slab over a 25 mm thick base of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) including applying of twice ( at base and top of mortar ) cement slurry @ 2.2kg/m2 (each time) mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS:2645 in the recommended proportion over the leveling course (leveling course to be paid separately). Joints sealed and grouted with cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound. (ii) 2nd layer of 25 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportions. (iii) Finishing top with stone aggregate of 10 mm to 12 mm nominal size spreading @ 8 cudm/sqm thoroughly embedded in the 2nd layer. Using rough kota stone/shahbad stone
Providing and laying integral cement based treatment for water proofing on the vertical surface by fixing specified stone slab 22 mm to 25 mm thick with cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS:2645 in recommended proportions with a gap of 20 mm (minimum) between stone slabs and the receiving surfaces and filling the gaps with neat cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound and finishing the exterior of stone slab with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) 20 mm thick with neat cement punning mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportion complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge : Using rough Kota stone/shahbad stone
Providing and laying in position Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) of grade M-30 using 20mm maximum size aggregates and crushed sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved brand and quality (plasticiser or super plasticiser) if required, including weigh batching, mechanical mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and reinforcement complete as per specifications. The rate should include prepration construction joint and application of approved bonding agent as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Extra for RCC/ PCC Using Ready Mix Concrete including transporting and pumping from approved batching plants
Providing and fixing at all levels precast members using cement concrete of Grade M-30 in copings and / or bed blocks, plain window sills, shelves, louvers, steps, staircases, trench covers, drain covers etc. including hoisting and setting in position with C.M 1:3 (using crushed sand) cost of required centering, shuttering and finishing smooth with 6 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 (using crushed sand) on exposed surfaces complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge ) Note 1 ) All projections, fins etc in the concrete surface formed at the joints in formwork shall be ground & flush and finished at no extra cost. 2) Angle frame of precast covers shall be trial tested before placement of concrete at no extra cost. 3) Reinforcement steel, lifting hooks & structural steel sections for inserts, sleeves, frame, nosing etc. shall be measured & paid under separate items.
General Notes for Formwork and Shuttering: (1) The rates for the formwork/shuttering items shall include for providing all necessary holes, cutouts, slits and depressions, labour for fixing adequate pipe sleeves at all indicated locations etc. in formwork as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The formwork / shuttering for providing construction joints in concrete shall not be measured seperately and the contractor to include it in his quoted rate. (2) The centering and shuttering, formwork shall be designed & submitted by the contractor to the Engineer-in-charge for approval prior to commencement of work. Form work shall be properly designed for self weight, weight of reinforcement, weight of fresh concrete, and in addition, the various live loads likely to be imposed during the construction process (such as workmen, materials and equipment). (3) Shuttering used shall be of sufficient stiffness to avoid excessive deflection and joints shall be tightly butted to avoid leakage of slurry. If required, rubberized lining of material as approved by the Engineer-in-charge shall be provided in the joints. Steel shuttering used for concreting should be sufficiently stiffened. The steel shuttering should also be treated with mould oil prior to erection, properly repaired before use, properly cleaned to avoid stains, honey combing, seepage of slurry through joints etc. The form work shall be so assembled as to provide for necessary camber as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. (4) Only steel staging system (of approved quality & design) shall be used for all structural /RCC work for all floors at all levels / heights. (5) All surfaces adjacent to EPs, etc., shall be in true line and level & irregularities, if any, shall be rounded by mechanical grinding, chiselling, finishing the same using epoxy silica sand mortar or non-shrink grouts as applicable at no extra payment.
(6)Provision of through & through bolts / sleeves in external concrete walls,vaults, columns for centering / shuttering & scaffolding shall not be permitted. Through and through tie rods will not be allowed in leak tight structures. (7) The through & through bolts in RCC walls shall be monolithic having cup & cone system as per specific design requirements with prior approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. (8) The contractor shall ensure for provisions of adequate safety measures such as handrails, platform, safety nets etc. during the course of execution to facilitate safe means of access at no extra cost to the Owner.
Providing , centering ,shuttering Form work using PVC film faced plywood to get a neat form finish surface for all types of structures including necessary strutting, proping, staging, supports etc and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels
Providing Reinforcement Steel for reinforced cement concrete at all levels including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, transporting, fixing, tieing in position with binding wire, all labour charges, cost of cover blocks in specified grade of concrete etc. complete as per specifications and drawings. Using TMT bars of specified grades. TMT bars to be supplied by vendors as per Approved Vendor list of BARC using virgin material
Providing and applying of swellable type water stopper tape / sealant, 19mm x 25mm (minimum) in linear metre (expansive nature) for construction joints treatment of RCC structure such as raft slab, retaining walls etc. After cleanning the surface, one coat of required primer for swellable water stop tape (if required) shall be applied through out the length of the joint. Over the primed surface swellable type water stop tape shall be placed. The work shall be carried out all complete as per specification and direction of the Enginner-In- Charge.
Providing and fixing in position tapered / parallel threaded Tension Compression Mechanical Couplers for rebars conforming to IS code on “Reinforcement Couplers for Mechanical Splices of Bars for Concrete Reinforcement - Specification”. The couplers shall have bar break properties for 100% Tension and compression joints as per manufacturer's specifications and as per the direction of the Engineer. The item shall include all operations and arrangements such as threading with manufacturer's machines and operators, enlargement at connection by forging, provision of bar caps to protect the threads on rebar and related operations and arrangements as required for completing the work. The cost shall include testing of joints before usage of the splice as required by the Engineer at intervals Note : Only the couplers provided at the lap locations shown in the drawing shall be payable.
