M&L for servicing of Diesel engine generating set of various capacity 27 to 62.5 KVA of Make:- Meadows/Kirloskar/ Ruston/Cummins/Jacksons, Air cooled/Water cooled and carrying out to B check DG set as per manufactures maintainance norms and also carrying out following complete all as sprecified and as directed :- (a) Dismantling the engine parts/components as required and cleaning thoroughly by degreasing and de-carbonising all the rotary and static parts (b) Checking of all rotary and static parts of engine and adjust/repair the defects as required for satisfactory running of DG set. (c) Changing engine oil of DG sets. (d) Change of air filter. (e) Change of fuel filter, oil filter and by pass filter. (f) Change of water separator Note: Engine oil shall be issued under schedule 'B' free for filing and spare parts required to be replaced shall be measured and paid under relevant item of the schedule 'A' (g) Testing of DG set after servicing as per direction of Engineer-in-charge for satisfactory performance. (h) Cleaning the external surface of DG Set and near by floor area all as directed by Engr in charge. Note :- (i) Any minor parts such as screw, washer, split ring, circlips and etc shall be supplied by the contractor and rate for the same shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (ii) If any major part is found defective and needs replacements then new parts shall be measured and paid separately as "Supply only" under respective items of this schdule with Prior approval of Engr in charge. (iii) DHPP and lubricating oil required for servicing and testing will be supplied by the Department under Sch 'B' for free for filling. (iv) Completion of rapair work should be carry out within 2 days by deploying maximum labour and resourses being the essentialness of the work.

Top Overhauling of engine of DG set, capacity 25 to 50 KVA, 1500 RPM water cooled/air cooled type, 2/3/4/6 cylinder inline engine of make : Ruston/Kirloskar/HA consisting of the following works :- (a) Dismantling engine parts in presence of MES representative and display all the parts/components of engine for inspection of Engineer-in-charge to asertain the serviceability of existing parts. (b) Detecting leakage of lubricating oil and water of the engine and rectification of fault by replacing worn out parts. (c) Replacement of gasket, repair the head assembly by adjusting valves & replacement of worn out components after dismantling. (d) Taking out old unserviceable/ leakage radiator from the engine and making servicable and refixing as per existing complete. (e) De-carbonising and degreasing of all the parts such as piston assembly, heads, crank case, crank shaft, oil pump etc and checking of all rotary and static parts (existing) for smooth functioning. (f) Assembling of engine complete with old serviceable parts and replacement of unserviceable parts by new parts as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (g) Replacement of water pump assembly with water pump repair Kit including bearing, Con rod, Piston pins, piston rings , cam shaft bush . (h) Testing of DG set after repair as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Parts required to be replaced during overhauling/repair of engine shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate items as 'Supply only'. (ii) Any machine work to the existing parts which is felt essential for smooth functioning of DG set shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item. (iii) Any minor parts such as screw, washer, split ring, circlips etc shall be supplied by the Contractor and rate for the same shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. (iv) Fuel and lub oil for testing of DG set after repair and also when necessary shall be supplied by the department under Sch 'B' as 'Free for filling'.

(b) Dismantling complete alternator parts without damaging any portion, cleaning thoroughly by degreasing and de-carbonising all the rotary and static parts and display the all dismantled items for inspection of AGE E/M to ascertain the extent of repair involved. (c) Heating & varnishing of field coil and armature with super quality varnish and dried out with external heat unit to achive insulation resistance to required mega-Ohms. (d) Cleaning/washing of DE/NDE bearing and refix the same with required quantity of grease. (e) Cleaning and polishing to slip ring assembly and refix the same in position. (f) Checking tension of spring of carbon bush holder and replace with new spring where necessary. (g) Checking all connections for its correctness and reconnect as per the diagram for smooth functioning. (h) Checking all carbon brushes of slip ring and replace with new carbon brush where necessary. (j) Assembling the alternator complete as per the existing and coupled with engine with proper alignment. (k) Testing of alternator after repair as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge to establish satisfactory repair. Note :- (i) Quoted rate under this item shall deemed to be included replacement cost of Oil grease, Heat varnished-03 Ltrs, Carbon bush holder-08 Nos, tension spring-08 Nos, Carbon bush of slip ring-08 Nos. (ii) DHPP and engine oil required for testing will be supplied by the Department 'Free for filling/use'. (iii) After finding out the defects in presence of Engr-in-Charge a proposed detailed estimate of parts to be replaced shall be submitted to the Engr-in-Charge for prior approval before execution of work. (c) Taking out old unserviceable burnt out copper wire from the rotor and rewinding of rotor with super enamelled copper wire as per existing gauges and turn. (d) Heating, varnishing to field coil and armature with super quality varnish and dried out with external heat unit to acheiveinsulation resistance to required mega Ohms. (e) Cleaning/washing of DE and NDE bearings with connector terminal end and providing the following :-(i) S&F DE & NDE bearing - 02 Nos. (ii) S&F connector terminal - 01 Nos. (iii) S&F Carbon bush - 12 Nos.(i) Cleaning and polishing to slip ring assembly and refix the same in position. (f) Testing as directed by the Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (i) Quoted rate shall deemed to be inclusive of reqd qty of oil grease,ampear tape,glass tube,copper tube, soldering wire, backelite sheet, red fibre etc, 01 No-connector terminal, 07 Ltrs-heat varnish,12 Nos - carbon brush holder, 02 Nos- Bearing (DE & NDE) 20 kg -super enamelled copper wire, 20 Nos-glass tube. (ii) If any major part is found defective and needs replacements then new parts shall be measured and paid separately as "Supply only" under respective items of this Schdule with Prior approval of Engr in charge . (iii) DHPP and lubricating oil required for servicing and testing will be supplied by the Department under Sch 'B' for free for filling.

M&L for preparation of old painted steel surfaces of any description, over 10 cm in width or girth, not otherwise described and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint to 27 KVA to 65 KVA DG Set complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for dismantling the unserviceable radiator for DG set of 12.50 to 50 KVA capacity from engine, transportation to the nearest workshop, repair the tank /storage portion incl necessary welding & making leak proof of the tank, cleaning the complete radiator with chemical agent and pumping set incl replacement of defective copper core and assembling the radiator including replacement of all old rusted MS nuts, bolts washers & gasket sets including refixing and testing complete all as required and directed by the Engr-in-charge

M & L for finding out defects of Fully Automatic Electric panel (AMF) of DG set and Taking out burnt interconnection wiring including u/s and serviceable components for reuse including Rewiring of panel using existing size of copper cable, ferrule, lugs, insulating material, nut bolt washer of various sizes refixing serviceable items including replacement of Contactor of any Model & amps capacity, 240 volt coil of any Make and Part No. and testing complete all as required and directed by the Engr-in-charge
