DIESEL GENERATING SET

Supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and handing over of water-cooled diesel engine driven generating set (silent) type of 250KVA 415V 3 phase and neutral 1500RPM complete with a diesel engine of liberal rating directly coupled to brushless alternator built-in AVR radiator, exhaust piping, electronic governor, MS mounting frame, MS fuel piping, 180AH 12V DC Battery 2 Nos. including battery charger starter motor, battery mounting stand, MS class ‘C’ pipe with valves and fittings with, all enclosed inside the acoustic enclosure, silencer wound with glass wool insulation with aluminium cladding, and all other standard accessories as per specification & schedule diesel generator set shall be mounted on AVM pads of vibration isolators including conducting load test for 12 Hrs. at site and factory premises including the arrangement of load connections, required diesel, etc., complete. The details of the engine & alternator. Load Test at Factory Premises to be carried out 25%, 50%, 75% & 100% distributing equal time from 12Hrs. as per given below: - Note:- The specification is taken from Cummins make as per a guideline. Bidder may provide better specification if change the makes and model for the better competition the makes from approved make list to be considered. If the bidder wants another to provide other DG Set then approve make list he has to take prior approval from CCE(R&D) Estates, North and to ensure that the service of that make shall be made available by the manufacturer on the site for this certificate from OEM is required.

a) Diesel Engine Cummins make model N-14 developing 308 BHP at 1500 RPM rated for continuous duty with an additional 10% overload capacity for one hour in a period of twelve hours of continuous operation at standard operation conditions as per ISO 8528 inclusive of all standard accessories and microprocessor based Genset controller of metering, monitoring, protecting and electronic governing of the engine.

b) Alternator Synchronous alternator 200KW/250 KVA Stamford AC 3 phase and neutral 415-volt 50Hz 1500 RPM 0.8 lagging power factor alternator shall be in SP, DP enclosure, self-excited, self-regulated, AVR, Single bearing, Class 'H' Insulation and foot mounted with end shield. The alternator shall confirm to IS: 4722 is suitable for tropical conditions.

c) Automatic main failure Free floor mounting type totally enclosed louvered steel construction control panel with internal access to facilitate main & DG Set both connection and maintenance complete with MCCB & Contactor of suitable rating for 2Nos. of Incomer & 1No. of Outgoing. Multi-Functional Meter with all parameters including indicator set for ON/OFF & Trip, battery charger to charge the battery, Hooter for Mains Power Supply failure & restoration Main Power Supply with standard ON/OFF time of DG Set, etc., complete in all respect. The Panel shall be confirmed to IP: 55 either to place in the DG Set enclosure or outside in the open area.

d) Acoustic Enclosure The enclosure shall be fabricated from high grade cold rolled, cold annealed (CRCA) sheet specially designed to meet stringent MOEF/CPCB norms of 75 dBA @ 1 mtr at 75% load under free field conditions and steel membranes lined with high-density sound absorption material to reduce the sound level from a distance of 3 meters away from the set. The enclosure will be surface treated & painted with UV resistant powder coating that can withstand extreme environments for long-lasting service life and superior finish with high-quality polyurethane epoxy paint with prior zinc oxide primer base to make it weatherproof and suitable for outdoor application or as per manufacture standard primer & Colour. The hardware shall be used stainless steel. The insulation material shall meet the exacting IS 8183 specification for better attenuation. The enclosure will be provided with a durable industrial locking system with doors duly gaskets etc., all complete.

e) Battery 12Volt with suitable Ampere Hours along with battery charger inside AMF Panel shall be provided. The battery assembly of suitable capacity complete with all necessary connecting leads and terminals of reputed makes and stands for battery shall also be provided.

f) Base frame Skid mounting type base frame fabricated from the suitable size of MS channel providing a common bed for engine & alternator directly coupled together including Cummins Make Anti-Vibration Pad.

g) Fuel System Fuel tank as per manufacture standard to be provided inside the Acoustic enclosure fabricated from HS sheet and duly painted with inlet and outlet connection with drain plug, air vent, and level indicator, for measurement of Fuel duly calibrated along with fixing accessories, hardware etc., complete.

Supply & fixing on load change over switch TPN 415 volts 320 Amps capacity in sheet metal encloser make: Havells/HPL or equivalent.

Supply and Fixing of MS Exhaust pipe of suitable size for DG Set cladded with 50 mm thick Glass wool insulation covered with 24 SWG Aluminium sheet and provided with rain cap for 250 KVA DG Set etc., complete.

Supply and fabrication of supports for silencer/exhaust pipe made out of MS channels/angles including cutting, welding, grouting in grounds / walls and coats of anti corrosive paint and 2 coats of approved make synthetic enamel paint etc., complete

Supply, testing and commissioning of following size 1.1 KV grade XLPE Insulated armoured Aluminium/Copper conductor cable in built up cable trench / already laid RCC Hume pipe or on cable tray with all installation materials. Cable route markers at every 15 mtr. interval and also at the turnings. The cable shall conform to IS 1554 / Part I etc., complete

Laying of one number PVC insulated and PVC sheathed / XLPE power cable of 1.1 KV grade of following size direct in ground including excavation, sand cushioning, protective covering and refilling the trench etc as required.

b) Above 95 sq. mm and upto 185 sq. mm

Providing, testing, commissioning, and handing over of Copper Plate Earth Station, with 600 x 600 x 3.15 mm thick copper plate including excavation in all kinds of soil, SDR & HR, construction of brick pedestal, chamber, providing mesh funnel, CI Cover, 150x150x100mm MS plate on 25mm angle grouting in the ground for identification and other civil engineering works, spreading a homogenous mixture of salt and charcoal around the plate, backfilling with black cotton soil, etc., completely as per IS 3043, 1987 or latest revision, etc., complete.

Providing, testing, commissioning, and handing over of GI plate earthing 600 mm X 600 mm X 6 mm thick including excavation in all kinds of soil, SDR & HR, construction of brick pedestal, chamber, providing mesh funnel, CI Cover, 150x150x100mm MS plate on 25mm angle grouting in the ground for identification and other civil engineering works, spreading a homogenous mixture of salt and charcoal around the plate, backfilling with black cotton soil, etc., completely as per IS 3043, 1987 or latest revision, etc., complete. (If existing Earthing is in good condition this item shall not to operate)

Supply and laying of the following sizes of earth strip in excavated trenches, along with the structure, with DMC insulators for neutral earthing including excavation at a depth of 0.5mtr. and backfilling where ever necessary with GI / Brass Nut bolts and washers etc as per standard including excavation and backfilling etc., complete.

Provision of End termination by providing Aluminium / copper lugs and double compression glands for the following cable :-
