Conducting detailed topographical survey using total station survey equipment for surface of proposed airfield shall include the following activities complete all as specified and directed. (a) The survey of airfield to be done with electronic total station survey equipment including cutting/trimming of bushes taking all physical features like building (Govt, Private etc) , Drains, Water bodies like Ponds, trees, Fences, major or minor roads, other permanent objects like telephone/light posts. (b) The grid of entire area to be 2M x 2M -TS reading to be taken at every 2 M in 2M x 2M grid. (c) The instrument to be shifted after every 2M interval. (d) The BM to be established every 2M so that the instrument may be place in between the BM and the checking of level be done from both the BM. (e) The total station instrument should have permissible least count. (f) The survey should start from one point and it should end at the same point where it had started. (g) All the level should have reference to the Aerodrome reference point (ARP). (h) Nos of tree with girth, building with all side dimensions. (j) The level sheet of entire area to be prepared by the consultant including complete earth calculation for cutting/filling as the case may be with respect to the top level of the existing runway. (K) Plotting and submission of hard copy drawing in duplicate alongwith soft copy in CD

Excavation/drilling of 150mm dia bore holes, supplement with penetration test (SPT) upto 3.00 m depth or depth of refusal whichever occurs earliest. Collection of soil properties (sieve analysis, in situ density, moisture content, Atterberg limit, specific gravity). Soil classification, depth of water table, HFL, fees swell Index, organic matter, permeability. Dry density and Lab CBR test at every meter.

Determination of Lab Socked CBR value of soil as per IS 2720 (Part-31) & MDD, Mechanical analysis of test data and submission of six copies of ink sign test report with detailed description of filed investigation).

To carry out the plate load test to ascertain K-Value (Modulus of subgrade reaction) of the soil (As per IS provisions) at location as directed by Engineer-in-Charge , analysis of test data and submission of detailed test report, (Submission of six copies of ink sign test report with detailed description of filed investigation).
