REPAIRS / MAINTENANCE OF LT UG CABLES, LT PANELS / FEEDER PILLAR BOXES AND OTHER ALLIED WORKS AT AF STATION LAITKOR PEAK UNDER GE (I) (AF) SHILLONG

Distmantling and taking down old cross arms, bracing support clamps and back plates from poles etc, complete all as directed.

Dismantling wrought iron, or mild steel work of LT panel/LT feeder pillar box of any description not otherwise provided for complete all as directed.

Excavation in trenches in soft / loose soil, not exc 1.5 m wide and n. exc 1.5 m depth or n exc 10 Sqm on plan & getting out, for laying of cables, foundations of poles, struts, stays etc. and getting out including triming and forming bottom surface complete, all as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cms thick in soft / loose soil back in trenches after cables have been laid and tested, poles, stays , struts have been erected and tested complete all as directed.

Removing excavated materials to a distance not exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 m above the starting point in soils complete all as directed.

Taking out old unserviceable LT UG cable and Supplying, Fixing/laying, jointing and testing and commissioning, LT under ground cables, 1100 Volts grade, XLPE insulated, armoured heavy duty electric cable with stranded aluminuim conductors, laid in trenches, ducts/fixed on poles/walls/laid under roads/paths/drains/culverts or encased in GI pipe complete all as specified and directed of following sizes:-

4 core 16 Sqmm

3.5 core 25 Sqmm

3.5 core 35 Sqmm

3.5 core 50 Sqmm

3.5 core 70 Sqmm

3.5 core 95 Sqmm

3.5 core 240 Sqmm Notes :- (a) Excavation & earth work, GI pipe for laying of cable, sand cushioning, cable protection cover shall be measured and paid for seprately under respective items of the schedule. (b) Old serviceable cable cover obtained from taking out of cable shall be re-used under respective item of the BOQ.

M & L in replacement for outdoor type heat shrinkable cable end termination jointing kit for LT 1100 Volts (Earthed) grade cable of following size complete with jointing material and accessories complete all as directed :-

25 to 50 Sqmm, 3.5 core

70 to 150 Sqmm, 3.5 core

185 to 300 Sqmm, 3.5 core

S & F in replacement Galvanised steel tubing light grade for protection of under ground cable on poles / walls/under road crossing/laid in trenches etc conforming to IS-1239 for following bore complete all as directed:-

40 mm bore

50 mm bore (Note : Excavation & earth work shall be measured & paid separately under respective items of this Schedule).

M & L for dry sand cushioning to PVC under ground cable with screened and washed sand and punning to provide a required cover complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Thickness after punning shall be considered for payment.

M & L for brick protection for UG XLPE cable with burnt clay old size sub class 'B' bricks laid dry and flat abutting each other with gaps between adjacent brick not more than 10mm and width equal to length of brick in trenches across the cable complete all as directed.

Laying only old serviceable bricks as in brick protection for UG XLPE cable flat abutting each other with gaps between adjacent brick not more than 10mm and width equal to length of brick in trenches across the cable complete all as directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement LT cable route indicator made out of standard cast iron body firmly mounted on angle iron of size 40mm x 40mm x 5mm 750mm long along LT cable trench, painting exposed iron surfaces with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of colour as directed over a coat of red oxide primer including embedding of route indicator in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 block of size 15cmx15cmX30cm deep, complete all as directed.

Supply and fixing MS structural steel work in cross arms, bracings, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated (with drilled holes hot and cold etc) from channel/angle iron sections of various size and shape FI clamps (full, half 'D' and earth clamp etc) including necessary MS bolts, nuts, washer etc and painting with two coats of aluminium paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as directed.

S & F mild steel work as in framed work and sheet covering conforming to Fe.290.Gde-E-165 of LT panel board/LT feeder pillar box etc, cut to size, welded/ riveted seams including bending, turning up, mitred angles, stopped ends, outlets, etc. as required and hanging, fastening and fixing including with & including preparation of new steel surfaces and applying two coats of spray painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved tint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparation of external and internal old painted steel surfaces of LT Panel boards/LT feeder pillar boxes/Bus Bar Chambers etc in position by removing/scrapping old disintegrated and deteriorated paint and painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint by spray gun over a coat of red oxide zinc chromer primer including writing letter complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in replacement following components/parts in existing LT panel boards complete all as directed:-

M & L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate 60 cm X 60 cm X 6 mm thick buried vertically in ground to depth not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level, with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level, connected to galvanized earth lead wire 4.00mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel besides welding at all joints as shown in drawing and including excavation and earth work, GI pipe light grade 15mm bore for protection of earth wire and connected to continous earth lead on pole/test point, supplying and laying charcoal dust common salt PCC 1:2:4 type B1, chamber and MS angle iron frame 40x40x3mm and RCC cover 40mm thick (1:2:4) type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 6mm dia round bars @ 75mm C/C both ways with MS handle 12mm dia, PGI funnel and wire mesh, 20mm dia GI pipe medium grade for watering all as shown in electrical plate No 5 on srl page No 497 of SSR Part I (2009) drawing and connection to earth test point including testing and including dismantling and taking out old earthing complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) The cost of earth lead /strip and GI pipe for protection of earth lead/strip upto 7.5m is included in the quoted rate. (ii) The cost of excavation, earth work is included in the quoted rate.

Taking down existing old unserviceable LT panel board and Supply, installing, testing and commissioning, factory made and tested (incl CPRI type test certified), LT feeder pillar box (KIOSK) of appropriate dimensions (as per Indian Electricity rules) to accommodate following components, indoor type, platform/floor mounted, suitable for 415 volts 3 phase 4 wire, 50 Hz AC supply system, having 02 Nos bus bar chambers with insulated Copper bus bars 600 Amps rating installed on porcelain insulators. The panel shall be dust and vermin proof, IP 65 class protection and made of 2.0mm thick CRCA MS sheet and 40x40x6mm thick angle iron frame work, powder coated finish over one coat of red oxide primer outside and two coats of red oxide primer on inside, front & rear opening type, with aprons for cable entry, with removable door shutter and locking arrangement (including provn of 65mm Godrej (Freedom) lock with 2 keys, internal wiring with PVC insulated, multistranded copper conductor, FRLS cables, IS-694 marked of adequate size but not less than 4 sqmm. The scope of work includes the following:- COMPONENTS (a) Copper bus bar of rating 600 Amps for four pole including PVC heat shrink sleeves (RYB & N ) : 02 Sets (b) MCCB four pole 400 Amp confirming to IEC 60947-2 & IS – 13947-3 thermal magnetic release and adjustable over load setting 0.8 – 1.0 x In and adjustable short circuit setting 6 – 10 x In and rupturing capacity 36 KA at 415 V AC , 50 Hz complete - 01 No. (c) MCCB four pole 250 Amp confirming to IEC 60947-2 & IS – 13947-3 thermal magnetic release and adjustable over load setting 0.8 – 1.0 x In and adjustable short circuit setting 6 – 10 x In and rupturing capacity 25 KA at 415 V AC , 50 Hz complete - 03 Nos. (d) MCCB four pole 200 Amp confirming to IEC 60947-2 & IS – 13947-3 thermal magnetic release and adjustable over load setting 0.8 – 1.0 x In and adjustable short circuit setting 6 – 10 x In and rupturing capacity 25 KA at 415 V AC , 50 Hz complete - 03 Nos.

Control System (a) Digital Amp meter (0-500A) –02 Nos. (b) Digital Volt meter (0-500V) – 02 Nos (c) Three way rotary switch for volt meter/ammeter – 04 Nos (d) CT of ratio 100/5 – 02 Set of Three (e) Indication lamps R,Y,B ( LED type) - 01 Set. Notes (a) All armoured cables shall enter through bottom of the feeder pillar duly glanded and socketed and connected to MCCB/cable terminal. Cost of glanding socketing etc are deemed to be included in the unit rate of feeder pillar. (b) All the out going cable shall be terminated in bakellite cable connector and shall be duly glanded and socketed. (c) All the cables (power and control wiring ) should be terminated duly socketed with heavy duty tinned copper lugs, GI bolts/screws nuts, flat washers and spring washers as required. (d) White acrylic marker plate (for feeder / switch marking ) to be provided with black lettering by heat press machine as indicated in drawing and to be pasted over the panel door/near the cable connector with high quality adhesive. (e) The cost of platform/foundation with PCC shall deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (f) The consolidated rate for Srl No. 16.00 & 16.10 shall be quoted against Srl No. 16.00 of BOQ.
