Strengthening/reconditioning of 1200 mm dia Rising main along with Dresser coupling and allied works of pumping unit no. 05 installed at LIS Basantpur

The job involves cleaning of surrounding area around rising main of unit no.05 by way of uprooting/cutting of the grass /bushes/vegetation around the rising main. Strengthening of weak/wornout four joints on the rising main by removing the old and wornout welding by grinding with suitable grinder, then welding at leaking points in three layers in such a way that the leak proof joint is made by superior quality pipe welding electrodes. The job further involves finishing the welded joints and removing the unwanted deposits and grinding the welded spots for finishing it to match the surface of the line. Fabrication of 04 Nos. M.S brackets of size 8" width out of M.S. plate for clamping of the 1200mm dia of rising main and fitting with nuts, anchor bolts, repairs to anchor bolts foundation also, wherever required. Repair/reconditioning of dresser coupling of 1200 dia. rising main of unit- 05 by dismantling of Dresser coupling by way of cutting of rusted/worn out HT bolts with the help of gas cutter and then extraction of damaged rubber seal. Fabrication/providing of 32 Nos H.T nuts & bolts with washers of size 450mm X 25mm dia and rubber seal 16 meters for Dresser coupling as per size and sample. Repair to damaged inner edges of Dresser coupling by way of welding with high quality electrodes and then grinding for smooth finish. The job further involves assembling and re-installation/fitting of Dresser coupling on rising main and fitting of newly provided H.T nut and bolts with washers. Reconditioning of Air release valves by way of dismantling of 2 Nos. Air release valves installed on the rising main of 1200mm dia of Unit No.05.The job involves replacement of special type of wornout rubber balls of air release valves, gasket, nuts and bolts and finally installation of repaired air release valves at their required positions properly. Re-alighment of distance piece along with rising main by unfastening of nuts and bolts of flange set, removing worn out distance piece by way of gas cutting and then realigning of rising main by providing and fitting of new distance piece of length 3.00 ft, dia 1200 mm and 10 mm thickness, 36 nos (40x150mm size) nuts bolts for anchoring by way of welding with superior quality electrodes. The job also involves painting of rising mains, dresser couplings, air release valves, reflux valves, non-return valves (NRV) and R.E joints of pumping Unit No. 05 by way of removing all dust/rust deposits with wire brushes and sand paper and then applying one coat of metal primer and there after two coats of black superior quality enamel paint. The job includes cost of material, labour charges; hire charges of tools and tackles used at the site of work.
