Testing of earthing and dismantling the strip from earth pit and testing of earth pit to be done as per fall of potential method mentioned in IS-3043 with digital earth resistance tester to check the healthiness of earthing system and record should be kept in record duly signed by user representative and submitted to Engr in charge complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: The testing of earth pit shall be done as and when required basis as directed by Engineer-in-Charge from time to time.

M&L in replacement for earthing with electrode should be 2 No’s Copper Plate of size 90cmx60cmx5mm inter connected with 50 X 6 mm copper strip of length 1.5 mtrs and in center shall be 32 X 6 mm copper strip of 3 meter with suitable brass nut bolts and brazing for lower resistance. Alternate layers of Soil & Curec+ or equilent (03 kgs x 5 bag) ; make as per IEEE 80 2000 , Clause 14.5 D, Maintenance Free Earthing System to give Earthing Resistance value of ≤ 1Ω. The soil shall be mixed with backfill CURENITE por equivalent (25-kgs x 10 bags) complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Copper Electrode’s should be solid rod of dia Mini 18 mm outer dia and surrounded with highly conductive and non corrosive nature (pH value certified) & covered with Poly plastic Earth Pit Cover in and including construction of PCC boundry with specified colour coding around the poly plastic pit cover.

M&L in repair for dismantling of old existing PCC earthing pit with cover and new construction of earthing PCC earthing pit with new polyplastic earth pit cover heavy duty with sign board triangular shape, making connection of earth strip including minor adjustment, construction of rectangular of size 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.50 (LXBXH) brick boundary alongwith necessary plastering work with specified colour coding around poly plastic earth pit cover, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L in repair of old existing PCC earthing pit making connection of earth strip including minor adjustment, construction of rectangular/squre any size brick boundary alongwith necessary plastering work with specified colour coding around poly plastic earth pit cover, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for one coat painting of old existing Earthing pit in existing colour complete all as specified and directed by Engr in charge

M&L in replacement for GI brazing (welding) at site to connect loop GI earthing strip of any size after tighten by nut, bolt , washer , checknuts all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note : GI brazing should be done any hight height. Cost of necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20 mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted.

M&L in replacement for copper brazing (welding) at site to connect loop copper earthing strip of any size after tighten by nut, bolt , washer, checknuts of brass, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note : copper brazing should be done any height. rate of necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20 mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted

Supply installation in replacement, testing and commissioning of maintenance free earthing system. The earthing set shall comprise of :- (a) 1 No of copper bonded rod of diameter 17.2 mm and length of 10 feet UL approved with 25 KA current discharge test from CPRI. The material shall below carbon high tensile copper bonded rods with 99.9 % of copper on the surface. The UL approval certificate shall be provided. (b) The electrode shall be installed in a 100mm dia 3000mm deep augured bore hole. The augured bore hole shall be filled with highly conductive and eco friendly ground enhancing compound as per IEC 62561-7 shall be not less than 30kg per pit. (c) 1 No. of copper busbar of size 25 x 6 x 150 mm should be exothermic welded with copper bonded rod 17.2 mm dia x 3 mtr length. (d) 1 No. of PVC Pit cover for covering of earthing. (e) Exothermic connection of 25x6x150 mm busbar to 35 sqmm copper cable. (f) 35 sq mm PVC insulated copper cable for interconnection of earthing and equipment. Quoted rate shall deemd to include the cost of copper cable 35 Sqmm upto 7.5m with 15mm light grade GI protection pipe.

Labour for physical inspection for earthing health and to check the healthiness of earthing system whether the resistance under safe limits of resistance higher than the permissible then recharging of earthing should be done immediately with carbon based low resistivity compound Recharging of existing earth pit by excavating soil up to electrode depth appox 10 feet by manual drilling (post hole) method and filling with backfill compound maintenance free earthing compound as supplied saperately achieve resistance value less than 1 ohms in chamical earting and normal earting 2 ohm including water up to top of the excavated bore, backfilling of earth pit may be done and measured the value after refilling pit and testing of earthing after recharging,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge Note: (i) In case of satisfactory results not found or result degraded during one year of recharging of earthing the same shall be made good/recharged again in order to have requried test results within contract/Defect liability period without any extra cost to the department. (ii) contractor will mark each earthing with date of recharging of earthing. (iii) Necessary compound required for recharging shall be measured and paid seperately.

Supply only carbon based low resistivity compound .001 ohm meter, backfill compound for maintenance free earthing compound to achieve desired resistance value less than 1 ohms complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement of copper strip of size 32 x 6 mm of in short pieces on surface or in recess for all inter-connecting and connecting saddle, fixed to wall, underground, ceiling or in floor with new taking out worn out and damaged strip, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement of Copper strip 20 x 3.15mm with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement 25x4 mm GI strip in short pieces on surface or in recess for all interconnecting, in and including taking out worn out and damaged strip complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement 32x6 mm GI strip in short pieces on surface or in recess for all interconnecting, in and including taking out worn out and damaged strip complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
