STRUCTURAL AUDIT OF CERTAIN BUILDINGS AT TECH AND DOMESTIC AREA AT AF STN CHANDIGARH UNDER GE (AF) MC CHANDIGARH

Consultancy for carrying out Structural Audit of varius buildings (as directed by Engr-in-charge and GE). Structural Audit will be carried out through following tests :-

Rebound hammer test:- Test for determining the estimated compressive strength of concrete and uninformility of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 13311 (Part-2)-1992. ASTM C 805-02 BS 6089: 1981 & BS1881: Part-202 BSEN 13791. Also establishing correlation between rebound hammer & other confirmatory test for estimated in-situ strenght of concrete if required all as directed.

Performing load test on beams , columns and slabs of buildings by applying load on effective span and observing real -world response of the structure and recording the same and submitting in triplicate along with hard copy and soft copy with recommendation to this office for future reference of the buildings, complete all as directed

Performing Radiography test (RT or X-Ray or Gamma ray) as a NDT test with the objective of qualifying defects and degradation in material properties and submitting the details in triplicate to this office in Hard as well as in soft copy complete all as directed

Performing Corrosion test for determination of the resistance of steel /material to corrosion under certain environmental conditions , like temperature , humidity and salty water .data collected from corrosion teasing helps to determine component service life as per approved location and submitting the data on hard as well as soft copy in triplicate to this office along with recommendation complete all as directed

Cover meter scanning or Rebar scanning test :- Conducting cover meter test to locate the Re-bar along with its diameter at specifed location of building under study as per standard engineering practice with latest avaiable tools all as specified and directed.

Performing Joint/welding test by applying pressure around portion of joint and determination of torque value of rivets as specified in ASTMD1761, whereas in welding joints like liquid penetration teasing , radiography, magnetic particle testing , eddy current testing , ultrasonic etc and submitting the results on hard copy and soft copy in triplicate in this office complete all as directed

Report, Interpretation & Recommendation:- Preparing & submitting comprehensive report consisitng of findings from visual inspection, test data interpretations of results, conclusions & final recommendations on structural stability of building along with sketch indicating the location of the test carried out in four copies duly binded properly. The report should bring out the useful remaining life of structure for usage as school building & recommend rehabilitation if required.

Note: (i) Final report shall be vetted & certified by IIT/NIT/Govt Engineering College for Structural soundness & stability/feasibility. (ii) Explore the feasibility for strengthening the bldg structure & offer recommendation. (iii) Rate quoted are deemed to be inclusive of any other test required for assessing the structural soundness of the building complete all as specified and directed by GE (iv) Nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (v) Rates quoted are inclusive of all Taxes, Transport, Tools & Plants Skiled/Unskilled Manpower and Lab Charges required for completion of the work. (vi) The sample collection along with all the test shall be carried out as per latest and relevant IS code or any code in practice. (vii) The bidder shall submit the final repaort in triplicate to the office of GE.
