Earthwork in filling in embankment, guide bunds, around buried type abutments, bridge gaps,trolley refuges,platforms etc, with contractors own earth conforming to soil quality class SQ1/SQ2/SQ3, after preparation of foundations as applicable benching in existing banks wherever required spreading in layers with motor grader bringing the moisture content to OMC, mechanical compaction to specified density and dressing of bank to final profile as per RDSO specifications :RDSO/2020/GE:IRS-0004 with latest correction slip . Note 1) Foundation preparation,Benching including additional earthwork on account of this wherever required shall be paid extra under relevant schedule item for benching . 2) payment for earthwork under this item shall be made based on the cross section measurements calculated (i) with original ground profile of existing bank based on initial ground levels before doing benching and (ii) final profile of the bank worked out with final levels as per prevailing guidelines

Supply, delivery and stacking of machine crushed 65mm gauge, clean, hard, angular and durable stone ballast as per specification and stacking the same on cess of formation or Toe of bank or at suitable places as directed by Engineer-in in-Charge at Site. The rate includes all cost of lead lift, Royalty, Taxes, duties and all incidental charges, l.e. making & maintenance of Road, Crossing of Road and Railway lines etc. complete as applicable, with all contractor's labour, tools, plant and machinery etc. complete as per RDSO specification. The rate also includes Inspection charges & Testing charges etc. levelling of ground if necessary, where the ballast are to be stackedand follow the guide line of RDSO. Contractor to make arrangement for transporting the same at his own cost
Handling lifting & leading of ballast from stacks with any lead, which has been dully measured & spreading ballast on formation, track & turnouts to ensure uniform & compacted ballast cushion under the sleepers desired ballast profile. Spreading of Ballast should be as per the technical specifications. Spreading of ballast on the formation will be done only after supply is completed for a particular stretch as decided by Engineer-in-Charge and ballast stacks have been released for spreading.

Description of Item
Cutting of 60 KG, 52 KG, 90 R rails with contractor’s Abrasive Disc Cutter complete including men, material, fuel etc. true to square.
Drilling 26.5 MM, 32 MM diameter holes with Rail Drilling Machine in web of 60 KG, 52 KG, 90 R rails in track or on cess at correct locations including chamfering.
Installation of BG track as per methodology specified in para 4.0 of Section 5: Specifications in the Bidding Documents or any other methodology approved by the Employer in all locations e.g. straight, curves, bridges, level crossings, yards etc. including installation of SEJ and glued joints including installation and dismantling of auxiliary track. NOTE: (i) 70% of the rate shall be paid after placement of the sleepers, rails, fastening, initial squaring, initial alignment (generally corrected by eyesight) correcting sleepers spacing and Katcha Packing (ii) Next 15% of the rate shall be paid after 1st manual/ off-track tamper packing/ lifting/leveling /alining of the track and making fit for movement of moped trolley/motor trolley/material trolley/ ballast loory. (iii) Next 10% of the rate shall be paid after second manual packing including picking of slacks between 1st and 2nd packing and bringing the track parammeters within the prescribed tolerance limits to make track fit for 45kmph for working of track machines /material trains/wiring trains etc. and is certified so by the engineer. (iv) Balance 5% of the rate shall be paid after picking of any slacks etc. for making the track fit for getting ready for final inspection from Railways/IPRCL. (v) For the measurement and payment purposes, the length of track from central line of first special sleeper to central line of last special sleeper shall be multiplied by 2 in case of bridge and level crossing provided with guard/check rails and to be multiplied by 3 in case of SEJ. (vi) The rate includes initial packing on 1st day, 1st through packing on 2nd day, 2nd through packing on 3rd day and Picking up of slacks, as required, from 4th to 9th day. The speed on 1st day will be 20 kmph and the same will be relaxed to 45 kmph on 9th day after aforesaid activities.
Through packing of track as per procedure prescribed in latest edition of Indian Railways Permanent Way Manual.
For PSC sleeper Track with sleeper density of 1540 sleepers/km or more.
First or second Through packing of track of all sleeper density including giving a general lift as desired to eliminate sag after deep screening work, lifting of track, lowering of track and major realignment of curves and formation rehabilition as per procedure prescibed in latest edition of IRWPM. Note: General lift is normally 25mm and isolated lift may be upto 25mm.
For PSC sleeper Track with sleeper density of 1540 sleepers/km or more.
Third or Subsequent Through packing of track of all sleeper density including picking of slacks as required after second through packing, subsequent to Deep Screening work as per procedure prescribed in latest edition of IRPWM. This item can also be used after lifting/regarding/realignment works also. Note: General lift is normally 25mm and isolated lift upto 50mm .
For PSC sleeper Track with sleeper density of 1540 sleepers/km or more.
Installation of PSC fan shape turnouts, derailing switches 60 KG / 52 KG including lead rails as per RDSO layout drawings including katcha packing with bars or off track tampers for 20 KMPH speed. Activities of rail cutting, drilling of holes, welding of joints and transportation are not included in this item and shall be paid separately under relevant items.

Anticorrosive painting of 60 KG, 52 KG rails. Painting to be done prior to installation on sleepers including touching of paints in areas damaged during fixing.
Provision of Buffer stop of 60 KG, 52 KG, 90 R rail section as per plan including painting with luminous paint etc. as directed by the engineer. Note: Rail required for this item will be issued free of cost by the Employer/IPRCL.
USFD testing of 60 KG, 52 KG rail welds (Flash Butt / SKV) as per RDSO Manuals and submitting reports on proforma as directed by the Engineer.
Fouling marks of size 1500x250x225 MM in M20 grade cement concrete including engraving the letters “FM”, white washing with two coats and painting the letters in black enamel paint indicating the numbers of vehicles duly fixed at site.
First and second manual through packing of points and crossing including gauging, fittings recoupment, elimination of sag and to the required alignment as per provisions of Indian Railways Permanent Way Manual for raising the speed from 20 kmph to 45 kmph. NOTE: The rate includes 1st through packing on 2nd day after relaying on Day 1 (laying of turnout will be paid separately under relevant item of BOQ), 2nd through packing on 3rd day and Picking up of slacks, as required, from 4th to 9th day.

Description of Item
Alumino thermit welding of 60kg/52 kg rail joints or combination joints of 60kg/52kg rail by pre-heat (SKV) welding technique using compressed air petrol/LPG for preheating, three piece pre-fabricated moulds (Zircon washed) single shot crucible fitted with automatic tapping thimbles with all labour, materials including supply of portion, tools and plants, aligning of rails, placing & fixing of mould, preheating, welding, mechanised trimming, grinding with profile grinder (including riser), testing, marking, painting with one coat of high build epoxy paint (two pack conforming to RDSO specification no. M&C/PCN-111/88) on the welded area up to 10 cm on either side. The work is to be completed in all respects as per IRS: T-19-2012 with latest updates and in accordance with “RDSO Manual for Fusion Welding of Rails by Alumino Thermic Process with up to date correction Slips in free rails or 3/10/20 rail panels. The work to be done under supervision of trained welding supervisor and carried out by trained welder having valid competency certificate from RDSO/TPP, Lucknow. Ultrasonic testing of welded joints shall be paid separately under relevant items. Note: 1) In case only portion is supplied by the contractor but welding is not done the rate shall be payable @ 60% of the item rate. 2) In case welding portion is supplied free of cost by IPRCL, the rate shall be payable @ 40% of the item rate. 3) The above provision in note (1) & (2) shall be operated with the specific approval of CGM/IPRCL
for 60kg Rails (R-260)
Providing and fixing precast RCC blocks, Synthetic rubber (Neoprene), riveted/welded/bolted steel work in built-up sections, 80 mm thick high strength precast chequered tiles (interlock blocks) and CC precast kerb stones at level crossings as per the SC Railway’s Drg. No. GM(W)SC/STD/TR/LC/5259/2009 (ALT.1) with latest alterations if any, by using contractor’s cement, high yield strength deformed bars steel, galvanized hooks for handling, PVC conduits for fixing tie rod, mixing colour pigments of approved quality, mixing admixtures like Recron 3S or similar etc., casted using Fibre reinforced Polymer Moulds, Compaction with bench vibrator, Pond curing the slabs etc., with all material, labour tools, plant, machinery, consumables etc, including all lead and lifts, incidental charges, transportation of the slabs from casting bed to the site of work, loading, unloading in to/from lorries by mechanical gantry arrangement, placing over the neoprene rubber, fixing the RCC blocks with MS angles, HTS bolts, nuts and tightening with MS tie rod inserted through PVC conduits etc., complete as per specifications under traffic conditions and as directed by the engineer-in-charge. NOTE: 1. The high strength precast chequered cement tiles (interlocked blocks) made out of minimum M-45 grade concrete obtained by using Zero slump concrete and water cement ratio to 0.36 with addition of high quality synthetic, inorganic, UV stabilized and colour fast pigments and sealing the surface using high quality sealants to get the properties of low water absorption and very high fungus resistance and fixing on platforms or any other location, over a sand bed of 50 to 70 mm with all contractors’ materials labour etc.
Providing outer and centre RCC blocks with neoprene rubber, MS angle, HTS bolts and nuts, tie rods etc complete along the track(s) Note: Length of track to be measured for payment shall be length within gate posts separately for each line in case there are more than one line.

Description
Construction of service buildings i.e. S&T Goomties, ET Buildings, SSP Buildings, Crew guard rest room, weigh bridge room, security room and a cabin room etc. in yards and in mid section as per layout drawing provided by the employer and detailed specifications provided in section 5: works requirements of the bidding documents including preparation and proof checking of architectural plan and structural design and drawings. Rate includes cost of cement steel and all other materials and labour. NOTE: (1) The rates under the item cover the cost of construction of superstructure only. Foundations of the building upto plinth shall be payable under the relevant items of BOQ (2) For construction of single storey building, foundation of the building is to be designed for double storey. (3) For building proposed to be built for more than four stories should be designed as framed structure only. (4) Additional 50% rates over and above the accepted rates shall be payable for construction of Isolated buildings outside ‘Station Section’ (‘Station Section’ for this purpose will mean the section between outermost facing points of a station) such as gate lodges, SP/SSP, Relay Hut, IBH building, gate lodge cum IPS building at interlocked gates. The additional rates shall be applicable on foundation as well as in superstructure items. (5) The rates do not cover General Electrification of buildings and the same shall be payable under ELECTRICAL GENERAL SERVICES WORKS.

Earthwork in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic Excavator)/Manual means for foundations and floors of the bridges, retaining walls etc. including setting out, dressing of sides, ramming of bottom, getting out the excavated materials, back filling in layers with approved material and consolidation of the layers by ramming and watering etc. including all lift, disposal of surplus soil upto a lead of 300m, all types of shoring and strutting with all labour and material complete as per drawing and technical specification as directed by Engineer - in charge. Note : This item will be used for excavation work in connection with other miscellaneous works like side drains, foundation for OHE masts and other miscellaneous structure in connection with gauge conversion, Doubling, new lines.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified proportion excluding cost of cement, centering and shuttering - All works upto plinth level :
PCC M-15 in levelling course, 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 sand( Zone-III): 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)
Providing and laying in position machine batched and machine mixed design mix M-25 grade cement concrete for reinforced cement concrete work, using cement content as per approved design mix, including pumping of concrete to site of laying but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement, including admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate, retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. All works upto plinth level (Note :-Cement content considered in this item is @ 330 kg/cum. Excess/ less cement used as per design mix is payable/recoverable separately).
Centring and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for :
Foundations, footings, bases of columns, etc. for mass concrete
Making plinth protection 50mm thick of cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand (zone - III) : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) over 75mm thick bed of dry brick ballast 40 mm nominal size, well rammed and consolidated and grouted with fine sand, including necessary excavation, levelling & dressing & finishing the top smooth.

Construction of Road:
Preparation and consolidation of subgrade with power road roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the subgrade and disposal of surplus earth with lead upto 50metres
Providing 40mm premix carpet surfacing with 10 -12.5 MM nominal size stone aggregate @ 5.4cum per 100 SqM and 54kg hot bitumen per cum of stone aggregate complete with paving asphalt 80/100 heated and then mixed with solvent at 70gms per Kg of asphalt. The rate also includes tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade 80/100 @ 0.75kg per sqm and perparation of existing road surface as per specifications.
Providing seal coat of premixed fine aggregate (passing 2.36MM and retained on 180 micron sieve) with bitumen using 128Kg of Bitumen of grade 8500 per Cum of fine aggregate and 0.60cum of fine aggregate per 100 Sqm of road surface including rolling and finishing with roller complete.
Providing bitumen penetration macadm with hard stone aggregate of specified size and grading and with bitument of suitable penetration grade inculding consolidation with road roller complete.
For 50 MM compacted thickness using coarse aggregate of size 40-20 MM graded and key aggregate of size 12.5 MM graded.
For 75 MM compacted thickness in two layers using stone aggregate of size 63-41 MM graded and key aggregate of size 20 MM graded.
STRUCTURE DISMANTLING WORKS:
Demolishinng R.C.C work manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of steel bars and disposal of unserviceable material within 50meter lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Dismantling brick or stone masonary in lime or cement mortar under 3m height including stacking the useful materials for reuse and removing the debris within 50m cleaning the debrises with all taxes, including leads & lifts transportation & disposing at specified place as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Misc any unforseen work: item avaliable as per latest IPRCL SOR/CR USSOR/ECR USSOR with escalation @ 5% per annum from year of issue of rate.
Drone Videography using UAV/Drone by capturing High resolution videography and delivering the geotagged videos along with a player facility to load & link image/Drawings/other files etc. and linkage to GIS Map like Google, Bhuvan etc. Deliverables Include: - 1. Merged Seamless Geo-Tagged Video of at least 1920X1080 format (full HD) resolution with all annotations. 2.A player facility to load & link image/Drawings/other files etc. and linkage to GIS Map like Google, Bhuvan etc. with overlay/sync facility should be available (license to be shared with IPRCL).

Providing site offices for Employer with Contractor's material, Labour, Tools and Plant, Equipment etc. including provision of Water Supply, Drainage, Power arrangements, office maintenance as per the details mentioned in clauses 3.1 to 3.2.8 & 3.5 to 3.5.2 of Chapter 3 (Site Facilities for the Employer and the Engineer) of Section 5 (Work's Requirement) of Tender Documents. Note 1: This item is provided with the contention that new site offices will be constructed for this purpose and 75% payment of the accepted rates will be made after making available functional office, balance 15% payment shall be made at the end of the completion period and the remaining 10% will be paid after clearance of site by the contractor. Note 2: Alternatively if suitable accommodation is available on hire basis at suitable location acceptable to the employer, the contractor can arrange the same under the item but in such a case the payment shall be regulated as below. (a) 10% payment shall be made on completion of one month from the date of making available the office fit for functioning. b) Remaining 90% payment shall be paid in equal monthly instalments that is (0.9xQuoted rate) / (Stipulated Completion period in months + defect liability period in months). Note 3: In case stipulated period gets extended, payment on monthly basis, under this item, in such extended period, shall be made as under; (i) in case of new construction @ [(54% of Quoted rate) / (Stipulated Completion period in months + defect liability period in months)] per Sq.m. of Plinth area. (ii) in case of accommodation on hire @ [(90% of Quoted rate) / (Stipulated Completion period in months + defect liability period in months)] per Sq.m. of Plinth area.
Providing Furniture at Site Facilities for the Employer and the Engineer as per clause 3.3 of Section-5 Works Requirement.
Providing Road Vehicle mentioned below for the use of Engineer/Employer as per the Conditions mentioned in Clause 3.4 of Chapter 3 (Site Facilities for the Employer and the Engineer) of Section 5 Work's Requirement) of Tender Documents. Note: The provisions of clause 12.3.1 (a) (ii) of Section 6 (GCC) of the Contract shall not be applicable for appropriateness of new rate for this item.
