Earth work in embankment by Tractor -trailor carriage in locally available ordinary soil excludingrocky soil free from roots & vegetation and filling inuniform layers notexceeding 22 cm. thick includingploughing or roughening or benching the seats,removing all debris,breaking clods up to 2.5 cm cube,dressing as per design section including payment offorest royalty if any, etc. complete as directed. (10%deduction will be made from the section measuredquantities of the completed and compacted earth workon account of shrinkage)

Compacting Original Ground : Compacting original ground supporting embankment loosening levelling and compacting original ground supporting embankment to facilitate placment of first layer of embankment ,scarified to a depth of 150mm,mixed with water at OMC and then compacted by rolling so as to achieve minimum dry density as given in Table 300.1 and 300.2 for embankment construction as per Technical Specification Clause 3001.4.1.
