REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF CI/DI PIPE AND CONNECTED WORKS IN VARIOUS LOCATION AT OLD CANTT AREA UNDER GE(N) PATIALA

Excavation in trenches for taking out, laying of pipes not exc 1.5 mtr wide and not exc 1.5 mtr in depth and getting out in soft/loos soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in trenches, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm complete all as specified and directed. (Surplus soil if any shall not be removed but left proud over the trench)

Taking up or down steel water tubing / thin walled Flexible Quite coupling galvanised steel /ZRW/HFW pipe of size 40 mm (1 1/2") and 50 mm (2") complete all as specified and directed. Note for ser item No 03:- (a) In case diversion of pipe line reqd due to bldg, stone road, under tree and any other reason sch of credit will not be deducted. (b) If any new connection reqd upto a length of 20 to 30 mtr extra contractor will not claim for any credit.

Relaying, jointing and testing serviceable GI tubing 40 mm bore as retrieved here-in-before in any length including cleaning, cutting, necessary fittings, laid in trenches or fixed to wall, floor complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge. (Excavation & earth work shall be measured and paid separately).

All as per item No 4 above but of 50 mm bore.

Supply and fix in replacement Galvanized steel water tubing, medium grade of of pipe of 40 mm bore , screwed and socketed joints with and including all required fittings as in trenches, floors, on walls etc complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 6 but of pipe of 50mm bore

Taking up/out of unserviceable CI/Ductile iron pipes (including all fitting) with spigot and socketed ends and lead joints including burning out joints and removing lead from the ground cleaning the pipes free from sedimentation/scalling etc for reusing the srviceable pipes complete all as specified for 80/100mm bore. Note : Excavation and earth work shall be measured and paid seperately (Location - NCE coloney 80 MM -350 RM, OH Tank No 18 to Map Tank 100 MM -380 RM, KV staff Qtr 80 MM -300 RM)

All as per item No 8 Above but of size 150 mm bore

Material & labour for laying, jointing and testing Ductile iron water pipes 100 mm bore with spigot & Socketed end class K-7 conforming to IS 8329/2000,suitable for (push -on) rubber gasket jointing centrifugally applied inside cement mortar lining with Portland slag cement as per IS: 455:1989 and external metallic zinc coating as per Annex C of IS:8329 laid in trenches of in new or old locations complete all as specified and directed. (Excavation, earth work & DI specials shall be measured and paid separately. However, the rate of Rubber tyton joints shall be included in the unit rate quoted)

Supply and fix Gun-metal, globe or gate valves,with iron wheel head, screwed both ends for iron pipe and fixed of of 40 mm dia incl taking down old complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for constructing of brick mesonary pits of internal dimensions 1.2 mtr x 1.2 mtr x1.2 mtrs ( bottom PCC floor of the pit should be minimum 30 cms below the bottom surface of sluice valve flange to provide sufficient working space) , bottom floor of the pit be constructed in PCC (1:3:6) 15 cms thick with 20 mm stone aggregate, inner and exposed surfaces and bottom floor of the pit should be plastered in CM (1:4) 15 MM thick. The sluice valve and other fittings should be housed in center of the pit. the vertices of the pit should in right angle and champhered .The top cover of the pit will be made out of MS sheet min 3.15 mm thick witth angle iron frame made out of MS angle 40mm x40 mmx 5 mm with galvanised steel hindges two nos ,and locking arrangements duly painted with two coats of water resistant synthetic enamelled paint over one coat of red oxide.

All as per item No 16 above but of size 0.9mtrx0.9 mtrx0.9 mtr size complete all as specified and directed.

Cutting of road / PCC path upto the depth of pipes and making good the disturbed surface with PCC Type B2 1:3:6 (40mm aggregate) using extra cement including earth work complete all as specified and directed

Taking down old unsv Sluice valve including supply, fixing a dn testing of cast iron sluice valves ISI marked with hand wheel suitable for cast iron pipe/ductile iron of 200 mm bore, both ends flanged rating PN-1.0 with SS spindle as in repairs including jointing with New MS nuts and bolts, washers and gasket etc all as per IS No. 14846 complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item Sl.No 19 above but for cast iron pipe of 150 mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item Sl.No 19 above but for cast iron pipe of 100 mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Run lead joints in repair including extracting old lead while removing the old joint of 80mm bore of water Supply Lines with spigot & socket ends including necessary earth work excavation in soft loose soil up to 1.5 mtr width and 1.5mtr depth returning and filling and well ramming including watering as required. Removal of surplus soil complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. NOTE : Old retrived lead may be used by the contractor under this item. Additional lead as required shall be arranged by the contractor. New joint will be carried out only after extracting of old spun yarn and packing new spun yarn.

All as per item No 22 above but Pipe of 100mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 22 above but Pipe of 150mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 22 above but Pipe of 200mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to sluice valve installed at existing line of size 80 mm by opening up, necessary repair comprising replacement of glands, gland packing, gaskets, facing the gate & valve seat, replacement of nut bolts, reassembling and fixing in position & testing complete all as specified and directed. Note: - (i) The rates of material like gland, gland packing, gasket, Mild steel Spindle with TT nutand machinery work deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (ii) Necessary arrangements for regulating the water supply in line for the purpose of repair shall be made by contractor at his own expenses.

All as per item No 26 above but of size 100mm complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix CI 'D' joint complete set including nuts/bolts and rubber ring for repair to GI/ CI / DI pipe line of 80mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for MS/CI fitting such as bend (any type , radius and angle ) taper any type (straight , bend , increasing, decreasing or double socket etc ) tee pieces , single branch 'Y' junction , double branch, cross (all socket or socket and spigot) colar, caps and plugs suitable for upto 300 mm bore centrifugally cast (spun) ductile iron pressure pipes complete all as specified and directed.
