84181/E8 REPAIR, MAINTAINANCE AND RESURFACING TO CERTAIN INTERNAL ROADS OF KVS AT AF STATION MOHANBARI UNDER GE (AF) MOHANBARI

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud,.etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleared surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exc. 50mm and not exc. 100mm deep in area n. exc 400 sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous macadam with 4% binder content by weight of total mix (using paving bitumen VG-30) laid/ rolled and compacted to required gradient and chamber rolled/ laid with power road roller (consolidated thickness 75mm and less) including preparation of area before laying of macadam complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Exact quantity of binder to be used shall be ascertained by design mix. (ii) Minimum 4% binder shall be used. However incase more than 4% binder content is required as per design mix, the same shall be provided by contractor without any extra cost.

Applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen emulsion SS1 8887 at a rate of application of 0.7-1 Kg/Sqm of WMM as specified in table 500-3 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013 using mechanical sparyer including preparationof WMM surface complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.2-0.3 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanica sprayer after cleaning of existing road surface complete all as specifed and directed.

Material and labour 40mm thick (consolidted thickness) Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete with 5.5% binder paving bitumen of any penetration content by weight by total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using mechanical self propelled paver and rolled with Mechanical vibratory power roller 8 to 12T capacity complete as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc10 Cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20 mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed.

Manufacturing, supplying and fixing Retroreflective regulatory sign board of size 900 mm diameter made out of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated lens type retro -reflective sheeting as approved by Engineer-in-charge. Letter, symbols, borders etc. will be as per IRC-67 with required colour scheme on the boards and with the high intensity grade A. The aluminium sheet to be riveted to M.S. frame of angle iron of size 40x40x4mm.the board will be fixed to 1 No. 50x50 mm square post made of MS angle 50x50x4mm, 4 metre long welded to the frame with adequate anti theft arrangement sheet work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint over an under coat (primer) and back side of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint including appropriate priming coat complete all as specified and directed.
