PAINTING AND MARKING OF RUNWAY, TAXIWAY, DISPERSAL AND CERTAIN PLACES INCLUDING CERTAIN MISC WORKS IN AIR FIELD AREA AT AFS THANJAVUR

M&L removing of old unwanted paint markings of any description on rigid/flexible pavement by using suitable paint removers or grinding off the the same by mechanical means of mode and cleaning with scrapers or sand carbide papers etc, any no of coats, any width or girth or. the surface should be cleaned after removing all loose materials complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L applying one coat of water based road marking paint such as lines, dashes, arrows, letters, boxes etc on flexible/rigid pavements and the like including preparation of old surfaces exceeding 10cm wide using wire brush to remove old flaky/loose painting layer and clean the surface thorougly complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Coverage area of paint shall be 10sqm/Ltr adding 10-15% of potable water(Runway surfaces / air field area).

M&L one coat of painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on bituminous/ concrete surfaces not exceeding 10 cm width, with approved water base paint of color white, Golden yellow, deep orange, PO red and black as per the requirement in the Air field including preparation of surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note : Coverage area of paint shall be 6sqm /Ltr by adding 10-15% of potable water.

M&L complete removal of existing treatment of any description and and in any position like old flaky/loose painting layer sand carbide paper/ Scrapers or any suitable method on runway surface / air field area and applying two coats of water based road marking paint such as lines, dashes, arrows, letters, boxes etc on runway / air field area(by manual labour) including preparation of old surfaces to receive the finishes exceeding 10cm wide complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Coverage area of paint shall be 10 Sqm / Ltr adding 10-15% of potable water (Runway surfaces/air field area)

M&L applying water based road marking paint in adequate number of coats (minimum two coats) on new of previously untreated surfaces of any description on runway/ air field area of any tint including border marking white or golden yellow or any other colour as specified such as lines,dashes, arrows, letters etc on roads, pavement and the like exceeding 10cm wide including preparartion of the runway/pavement surfaces. Note : Coverage area of paint shall be 10 Sqm / Ltr adding 10-15% of potable water (Runway surfaces/air field area) complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L applying one coat of white wash in walls / concrete pavement surface of runway/ Air field area including preparation of old surfaces using wire brush to remove old flaky / loose peel of material of any description ccomplete all as specified and as directed. Note:- White wash shall be carried out at an interval as directed by the Engineer -in-charge at runway 07 & 25 Ends and frequency of each coat shall be paid separately.

M&L applying one coat of water based road marking paint over existing runway/Air field marking on flexible/rigid pavement exceeding 10cm width for the purpose of obliterating the existing unwanted runway marking of color black/gray including preparation of existing surface for removing all loose materials complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L applying one coat of approved acrylic water-based floor guard (such as Apex Floor Guard or equivalent in approved colour such as terracotta or other shades) on existing checkered/studded tile surface in verandah and other locations including preparation of surface, cleaning, removing all dust, dirt, oil, grease and loose particles on prepared surface to obtain uniform protective finish, having a coverage of approx 8–10 sqm per litre per coat, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint on walls/concrete surfaces including preparation of old surfaces of any description over 10 cm in width or girth not otherwise described including preparation of old surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Notes for all items :- (a) All the works are to be carried out in airfield operational area. (b) The contractor should ensure that all the old unwanted articles be cleaned as the work proceeds without awaiting for instructions from the users and MES reps and the FOD spreaded over the main runway to be cleaned simultaneously and clearance in this regard shall be obtained from respective ATC authorities. (c) In emergency and operational requirements, the contractor shall provide maximum man power, tools and plants as necessitated by the user and as directed by the Engr In Charge. Site for Execution of work:- (a) Tenderer shall note that work shall be executed at Runway / Air field area and the site for execution of work will be made available to contractor on Saturday, Sunday, Holidays and non operational days or when site will made available by GE / Engineer-in-charge after consultation of user, due to constant operational commitment at Station. The contractor will have to arrange his working programme accordinly. No claim whatsover is entertained for not giving the entire site, on award of work and giving the site gradually will be entertained. The contractor shall consider this aspect while quoting his rates.
