REPAIRS / MAINTENANCE OF DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER AND CONNECTED WORKS UNDER GE (UTILITY) BATHINDA AT BATHINDA MIL STN

Attending minor transformer complaints/ Preventive maint of Transformer by taking proper shutdown of HT feeder from concerned power house, checking, testing and locating faults of HT side/LT side of transformer of any make / any capacity kept on four / two pole structure etc. Opening/ disconnecting HT electric connections, removal of old jumpers by cutting of old rusted nuts, bolts & washers etc, replacement of unserviceable jumpers, tightening connections, checking load balancing etc including routine maintenance such as checking minor leakage of transformer silica jel , breather, oil level including replacement of LT /HT side bushing rod etc all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Transformer oil / silica jel/ breather if replaced shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item. (ii) The Supply only spare parts excluding minor parts shall be measured and paid for under relevant items. (iii) T & P and minor repair i.e. replacement of nut/bolts etc. shall be arranged by the contractor and the cost deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. During currency period of contract, contractor shall depute high skilled trades men for attending the complaint of transformer regularly as and when called with in 24 hours & maintenance shall be carried out accordingly for smooth functioning of transformer and cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the above quoted rates. Please note one time payment shall be made to contractor for these items and if any fault / defects occurred again, contractor shall rectify / replace the same without any extra cost in terms of condition 46 of IAFW-2249 of General condition of contracts

Disconnecting HT/LT connections of burnt / defective copper / aluminum wound transformer of capacity varying from 25 KVA to 100 KVA, taking down from site of installation, opening up the top cover, draining out transformer oil from transformer in suitable containers (containers to be provided by the contractor ) inspection / assess the defective / burnt parts, core assembly of transformer in the presence of AGE / GE and prepare list and then shifting the transformer to workshop as directed by GE for repair, cleaning and making good surface and rewinding the same with existing size of new copper / aluminum conductor, strip wound coils, limb for HT / LT , fixing of class 'E' insulation in core assembly etc. including internal cleaning, removing sludge, washing and painting with one coat of zinc chromate paint to inner side of the transformer body and one coat on outer side with synthetic enamel Grey paint (spray painting) after cleaning and removing oil spot from the body and re assembling, reinstalling, commissioning the transformer to its original place and testing at site on full load after connecting the HT / LT connections complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes :- (i) Supply only HT/LT copper/aluminum coil, transformer oil and other required parts as mentioned here-in-after shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of this BOQ. (ii) The T & P/ vehicles and minor parts/nut bolts etc. will be arranged by the contractor and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (iii) The rate quoted is deemed to be included in the unit rate for cutting/chipping of RCC/PCC/plaster of foundation/platform and minor grill work/welding work and making good as per existing after repair.

All as per srl item No. 2 above but capacity varying from 125 KVA to 200 KVA.

Supply only new copper LT coils made out of proper size of DPC copper wire/strip super enameled of high quality matching with existing impedances and providing class 'E' insulation suitable for transformer 25 KVA to 630 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- The rate quoted is deemed to be included in the unit rate for varnishing, sleeving and insulating materials and nothing extra shall be paid on this account at later stage.

Supply only new copper HT coils made out of proper size of DPC copper wire/strip super enameled of high quality matching with existing impedances and providing class 'E' insulation suitable for transformer 25 KVA to 630 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- The rate quoted is deemed to be included in the unit rate for varnishing, sleeving and insulating materials and nothing extra shall be paid on this account at later stage.

Supply only new double paper covered aluminum strip/wire wound coils for LT winding of the transformer of capacity 25 KVA to 630 KVA with suitable size/gauge so as to match with existing working capacity of the transformer and all as per manufactures design/specifications including providing class 'E' insulation complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- The rate quoted is deemed to be included in the unit rate for varnishing, sleeving and insulating materials and nothing extra shall be paid on this account at later stage.

Supply only new double paper covered aluminum strip/wire wound coils for HT winding of the transformer of capacity 25 KVA to 630 KVA with suitable size/gauge so as to match with existing working capacity of the transformer and all as per manufactures design/specifications including providing class 'E' insulation complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- The rate quoted is deemed to be included in the unit rate for varnishing, sleeving and insulating materials and nothing extra shall be paid on this account at later stage.

Disconnecting HT/LT connections of the pole mounted/plinth mounted outdoor type/indoor type transformer of capacity 25 KVA to 100 KVA, opening up the top cover for checking the conditions to carryout repairs at site, including draining out oil from the transformer in suitable container (containers to be provided by the contractor) and the transformer repair with replacement of parts (as required), check the lead connection from winding to bus rods including necessary soldering/jointing etc. and after complete repair refilling the dehydrated oil and testing on full load after connecting the HT/LT connections complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes :- (i) Major parts (as required) shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of this BOQ. (ii) Dehydrated transformer oil shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item in this BOQ and used oil shall be credited to contractor as per board proceedings. (iii) The T & P and minor parts/nut bolts etc. shall be arranged by the contractor and the cost of the same shall deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

All as per srl item No. 11 above but capacity of transformer from 160 KVA to 200 KVA.

All as per srl item No. 11 above but capacity of transformer from 250 KVA to 315 KVA.

Taking out the unserviceable breather assembly complete from 100 KVA to 750 KVA transformer indoor/outdoor type and supply & fixing new breather assembly complete filled with fresh blue coloured silica gel including connecting with proper rubberized gasket complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only new cork sheet gasket 6mm thick & 40mm width superior quality on top cover plate of the transformer capacity 25 KVA to 1000 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only new silica gel complete all as specified and directed .

Supply only in replacement LT bush assembly brass complete with double check nuts, washers and oil seal all accessories with bushing insulators for transformers of capacity 25 KVA to 160 KVA complete .

Supply only in replacement LT bush assembly brass complete with double check nuts, washers and oil seal all accessories with bushing insulators for transformers of capacity 200 KVA to 315 KVA complete.

S & F in replacement HT/LT side cable box, cover plate made out of MS sheet of 14 SWG complete with MS nuts, bolts and washer suitable for indoor/outdoor type transformers of capacity 25 KVA to 160 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S & F in replacement HT/LT side cable box, cover plate made out of MS sheet of 14 SWG complete with MS nuts, bolts and washer suitable for indoor/outdoor type transformers of capacity 200 KVA to 750 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supplying and filling new mineral grade transformer oil EHV type confirming to IS-3357 of 1983 for topping up or replacement in transformer/OCB's duly filtered with filtration plant to obtain high dielectric strength not less than 60 KV (Gap 2.5mm) at different locations during the process of filtration, if found acid contents more than specified value & achive minimum 45 KV dielectric strength.complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Empty barrel will be property of contractor and same will be returned to contractor when barrel will be empty.

Onload filtration and dehydration of transformer oil by on load filtration plant machine to improve the dielectric strength not less than 45 KV within 1 minute with 2.5 mm gap at site of any installation in cantt area and any capacity / make of transformer installed on pole mounted, indoor/out door plinth mounted. Testing the dielectric strength and contents of acid before and after filtration at different locations of each transformer will be carried out in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes:- (i) Contractor shall ensure no wastage of transformer oil. (ii) Contractor shall ensure that the conservator tanks are full to its level before starting the dehydration.

Cleaning and preparation of old painted surfaces of transformer ( Exposed external surface only) installed at site of any installation in cantt area capacity 25 KVA to 160 KVA transformer installed on pole mounted , indoor / out door plinth mounted by using course cloth/wire brush and painting with one coat of synthetic enamel grey paint with the help of spray gun including writing the SM No / MES No. on transformer with white paint in the existing style/pattern complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per srl item No. 31 above but capacity of transformer from 200 KVA to 315 KVA.

All as per srl item No. 31 above but capacity of transformer from 400 KVA to 750 KVA.

Taking down transformer up to 500 KVA capacity from pole/site of installation of any description / any position and shifting to other site of installation distance up to 15 kilometer including fixing on 2/4 pole structure or on plinth and connecting with HT/LT side of existing system and testing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- The T & P vehicles and minor parts/nut bolts etc. shall be arranged by the contractor and the cost deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

S & F HT feeder pillar box factory made cubicle type, dust proof, out door type both side opening of size 110 x 100 x 60 cm of MS sheet 3.15 mm thick powder coated machine pressed front opening in two halves with rubber gasket / beading , locking arrangement with sliding bolt including aluminium bus bar of size 50 x 10 mm and 80 cm long 3 strips mounted on HT insulators each strip should be mounted minimum two insulator and nut bolt panel shall be mounted on angle iron frame and legs made from angle iron of size 50x 50 x 6 mm and legs 40 cm long duly spray painted internally and externally with two coat of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer grouted in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate complete incoming / outgoing cable provision.

M & L for earthing complete with galvanized iron or steel earth plate electrode of size 60 cm x 60cm x 6.0mm thick buried directly in ground, vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 mtr below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate at depth of not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level surrounded from all sides with alternate layers of charcoal and common salt and connected to GI earth strip 32 x 6 mm thick by means of GI bolts, nuts washers & check nuts and soldering the strip, electrode connected to panel board or on poles or on transformer (including making of test point with GI strip of size 32 x 6 mm) including GI protection pipe 40 mm bore light grade dia for protection of strip upto the extent of 7.5 mtr all as directed, GI pipe light grade 20 mm bore for watering including providing funnel and wire mesh, GI frame with suitably reinforced RCC pit cover, PCC chamber pit with PCC (1:3:6) type C2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregates complete including excavation and earth work in any type of strata , all as specified and shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR-2009 Part - I, PCC pit shall be provided at least 50 cm away from the earth pit and not just on earth pit including testing on completion and dismantling of old earthing. Note:- (i) The rate quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to be included of earth strip 32x6mm and pit protection pipe 40mm dia light grade up to 7.5 mtr distance. (ii) Earth strip beyond 7.5 mtr will be measured and paid separately under relevant items.

M & L for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recessed or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe for loop earthing etc. or any other indicated situation as required by using 32 x 6 mm GI strip complete.

Comprehensive maintenance of power transformer thermosyphen with replacement of its complete alumina balls, including in removal of old alumina dirty balls with charging of thermo syphen cover with new gasket kit, including repairing of its pump and seal with contactor complete all as specified and directed by Eng-in-Charge.

Note:- The contract sum shall be calculated by deducting the amount shown in Credit Schedule attached to this tender from total amount of Schedule 'A'/BOQ
