Attending day to day petty complaints for maintenance and repairs of internal and external water supply system in the DFRL technical and residential area complete all as specified and as directed. Nature of duties (works) to be attended : - (i) Services shall be provided for attending and completing complaints on same day on urgent basis by providing technician with safety gadgets, tools and necessary equipments as per govt norms and as directed by Engineer in charge. (ii) The services provided under this item with necessary technicians(at least one plumber with htelper) during the period 0800 Hrs to 1700 Hrs with 1 hour lunch break on EACH day shall be meausred as One Job for payment purpose. (iii) Attending repairing and upkeeping of water pipe lines, pump sets for any leakages / replacement / changing / servicing of taps, washers, pipe lines stop cocks wash basins, sinks and connected works all as directed (iv) Replacement of float / ball valves sets in the service tank etc (v) In addition to above all general water supply complaints shall be attended to as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (vi) In case if services are not attended in any particular day / time penal recovery @ double the quoted rate will be effected from the contractor for that day.

NOTE : (i) Registering and attending all day to day complaints for DFRL Technical and Residential area, MES Office and MES residential area including repairing and upkeeping of water pipe lines, pump sets if any leakage all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Replacement of unserviceable spares such as taps, washers, pipe lines, stop cocks / float / ball valves and connected works all as directed.The spares will be paid separately under supply only items. (iii) The complaints will be issued to the technician at 08.00 AM on each working day by JE E/M or any rep of the sub division. The technicians needs to attend all the complaints on the same day and is required to rectify / resolve by next day, failing which the contractor will be charged a penalty as stated above. In this context proof of delay in prescribed format submitted by user will be treated as final and binding. (iv) Rate quoted shall include for gland packing of pump sets in the site as and when required. (v) T&P like pipe wrench, basin wrench, adjustable wrench, faucet key, tubing cutters and plastic pipe cutters, thread sealing tape, pliers, crimpers, plungers hammer required for pipe fitter shall be provided by the contractor.

(vi) The cost of providing additional labours to carry mobile type step ladders for repairs of pipe fittings is deemed to have been included in the rate quoted. (vii) Contractor shall provide the complaint register and complaint slip serially numbered in quadruplicate as per prescribed format available in the sub division. The rate of such items are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (viii) The quoted rate deemed to be inclusive for provision of reliever duty and leave periods. (vii) The operator on duty should have proper uniform and contractor with all protective arrangement during the duties and required tools for maintenance. (ix) The staff / tradesman deployed by the contractor should be much familiar with the distribution system of DFRL Mysore Area. (x) The above quoted rate is inclusive of providing transport (at least one two wheeler) to the tradesman for prompt conveyance in the site. (xi) Necessary labour for the earth work if required will be paid and measured separately
