CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING PLANT WORKS
Scope of Supply (a) Microprocessor based automatic controlled with thermostat semi-hermetically/hermetically sealed scroll compressor complete with automatic capacity control, safety switches forced feed lubricating system, auto restart-after power failure, built in time delay, in built thermal protection to meet automatic step capacity control of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% full load of heat load/ design condition including first charge of compressor oil - 1 Set. (b) Shell and tube type condenser with MS shell and integrally fined copper tubing complete with safety valves drains valves, water inlet and outlet valves, hot gas inlet and liquid outlet isolating valves, thermostat and pressure gauge at inlet and outlet. - 01 set. (c) Shell and tube type direct expansion chiller unit having plane copper tubes - 01 No. (d) Refrigerant piping fittings, valves and accessories to interconnect compressor, condenser chiller and expansion valve - 01 Lot (e) (1) Microprocessor based panel comprising of following :- (i) Automatic capacity control including energy conservation. (ii) Microprocessor controlled pump down system (iii) Microprocessor based sequence of starting/ stopping of equipment with fixed time delays. (iv) Alarm history giving cause of tripping (v) Data scanner system including operating instruction (vi) Power loss trip and shut down (vii) Oil pressure failure output LP/ HP cut oil (2) Fail safe features comprising of following :- (i) Under voltage protection (ii) Single phase protection (iii) Over load protection (iv) Phase imbalance protection (v) Anti freeze protection. (vi) Refrigerant line accessories comprising of safety valves, angle valve, liquid line indicators - 01 lot (vii) Water flow switches at inlet and outlet of chiller, water drain and air purge valves where required - 01 lot
(viii) Suction line and chiller insulation with minimum 19 mm thick polyvinyl nitrite rubber insulation complete as required - 01 lot (ix) Frame work for mounting the above condenser, chiller compressor and motor with base plate complete with anti vibration pads/springs - 01 lot (x) Initial/first change of refrigerant gas and compressor oil - 01 lot (xi) Chilled water flow meter of suitable size and capacity - 01 No (xii) Reinforced cement concrete foundation including set of anti vibration pad (all as per direction of GE) for the chiller unit - 01 lot (2 working) (ii) Chilled water pump set Design, supply, erection testing and commissioning of central monoblock type chilled water pump set of suitable discharge and head each comprising of the following and complete as per specifications. (a) End suction back pull out type centrifugal chilled water pump set with bronze impeller, discharge capacity as designed at suitable head, TEFC Squirrel cage induction motor of suitable HP with class 'F' insulation 2900 rpm synchronous speed, operating on 415 ± 10% volts, 3 phase 50 Hz AC supply - 03 Nos (02 working & 01 standby)
(b) 100 mm dia dial type stem thermometer at suction and delivery - 01 lot (c) 100 mm dia dial type pressure gauges with siphon & cock at both suction and delivery - 01 lot (d) Mounting frame with anti vibration pads - 01 lot (e) Reinforced cement concrete foundation (as per direction of GE) for the pump unit - 01 lot (2 working and 1 standby) (f) Water flow switches at chiller pipe lines - 06 Nos. (iii) Condenser water pump Supply, erection testing and commissioning of central monoblock condenser water pump set of suitable dischage and head comprising of the following and complete as per specifications. (a) End suction back pull out type centrifugal chilled water pump set with bronze impeller, discharge capacity as designed at suitable head, TEFC Squirrel cage induction motor of suitable HP with class 'F' insulation 2900 RPM synchronous speed, operating on 415 ± 10% volts, 3 phase 50 Hz AC supply - 03 Nos (02 working & 01 standby) (b) 100 mm dia dial type stem thermometer at suction and delivery - 01 lot (c) 100 mm dia dial type pressure gauges with siphon & cock at both suction and delivery - 01 lot (d) Mounting frame with anti vibration pads - 01 lot (e) RCC cement concrete foundation (as per direction of GE) for the pump unit - 01 lot (2 working and 1 standby) (iv) Under Deck insulation (with three Nos or as required as per design) Under deck insulation shall be carried out in the AHU rooms. The specification for under deck insulation shall be "Fire Retardant XPE closed cell of thickness 18 mm with metalised polyester film and self adhesive backings with protection peel off paper" quantity as required.
(v) Air Handling Units Supply, installations, testing and commissioning of factory fabricated double skin chilled water air handling unit x 02 Nos, capacity as required, horizontal type, fabricated out of extruded aluminium section consisting of 0.8mm pre-plasticized/ pre-coated galvanized steel sheet inside & outside layer injected at factory by moulding machine with CFC free polyurethane foam (PUF) insulation of 42 Kg/cum complete with blower section and pre-filter section with prefilter of 10 micron of 90% efficiency & 5 micron with an efficiency of 95%, multi row chilled water coil constructed out of copper tubes not less than 0.5 mm thick and aluminium fins with blower, TEFC drive squirrel cage induction motor 415± 10% volts, centrifugal DIDW forwarded curved airfoil type blade, access door, stainless steel 18 gauge drain pan insulated with 13 mm thick nitrile rubber etc complete as per std specifications. Maximum face velocity across the coil shall be 50 RPM and each 6 row deep cooling coil AHRI certified and RH to be maintained at 55%±5% the other accessories are view port, limit switches of the following capacity and comprising of :- (a) UV protection including sensors (b) Thermometer & temperature guages (c) Pre filter (MERV 6) in supply air stream (d) Energy efficient (EFF-2) squirrel cage induction motors suitable for 415±10% volts, 50Hz, AC supply meeting criteria as per ASHRAE standard 90.1- 2007 and high efficiency (e) 3 way balancing valves with actuator of sizes as required for satisfactory completion of work-quantity as required (f) Humistat of suitable capacity as required for satisfactory completion of work quantity as required. (g) Ball valves of size as required for satisfactory completion of work quantity as required. (h) Heaters for de-humidification of capacity (6 x 3 KW-03 Sets of each AHU) to serve as monsoon re-heaters to meet the inside design condition and connected with control cable up to LT panels/Chiller unit. (j) UVC emitters & fixtures in sufficient quantity so as to provided with distribution of UVC energy on the coil and in the drain pan.
(k) Humidification kits spray type with FHP monoblock type pump set of suitable capacity operating on 230 volts ± 10% single phase 50 Hz AC supply and PVC tank 100 ltr capacity to be interlocked with chiller control panel by control cables and with AHU by suitable size GI tubing of required length - 01 Set (l) Fan belt drive package (m) Vibration isolator (n) Fan outlet velocity not exceeding 10 mps (vi) Cooling tower Supply installation testing and commissioning of 02 x FRP cooling tower of 150 TR heat rejection capacity with FRP water basin PVC fitting with integral louvers and drift eliminators complete with hot water basin either fitted with spray nozzles or having self rotating sprinklers, statically & dynamically balanced axial flow type fan direct driven or driven through reduction gear box with TEFC induction motor of suitable capacity IP-55 suitable for 415V, 50 Hz 3 Phase, suction screen make up quick fitting arrangement over flow and drain connections with necessary valves and suitable inspection ladder, access arrangement for cooling tower interior, installed on MS girders (MS-I sections) fixed in masonary foundations with cement concrete footing, second class brick work and cement mortar 1:6 all accessories, basin fittings, fan, fan motor, suitable supporting structure, anti vibration mountings etc complete (including suitable size storage water tank) having isolator panel with MCB at cooling tower and with following technical data:- (a) Water flow/tower - As per design b) Ent water temp 970 F (c) Basin water temp 900 F
(vii) Piping - Chilled water Supply laying/fixing testing and commissioning the following nominal sizes of chilled plumbing pipes MS 'C' class as per IS 1239 inside/outside the building (with necessary clamps, vibration isolators and fitting like valves, flanges union etc but excluding valves, strainer guages etc) cut to required lengths and welded at joints and inclusive of accessories like elbows, tees, reducers socket etc including insulating with 25 mm (for all pipes) and 13 mm (for drain pipe) thick closed cell chemically across linked fire retardant polyethylene foam insulation of density 30 Kg/cum. The thermal conductivity of the material should not exceed 0.035W/Mk at an average temp of 400C, covered with aluminium faced foil complete with application with rubber based adhesive pidilite SR 998 and 50 mm x 3 mm thick self adhesive tape on both longitudinal & traverse joints simultaneously all as specified:- (a) 150 mm dia MS pipes-As required (b) 125 mm dia MS pipes-As required (c) 100 mm dia MS pipes-As required (d) Or any other size pipe of required length as required at site (viii) Piping-Condenser Water : Supply laying/fixing testing and commissioning the following nominal sizes of chilled plumbing pipes MS class 'C' as per IS 1239 inside/outside the building (with necessary clamps, vibration isolators and fitting like valves, flanges union etc but excluding valves, strainer guages etc) cut to required lengths and welded at joints and inclusive of accessories like elbows, tees, reducers socket etc all as specified:- (a) 200 mm dia MS pipes-As required (b) 150 mm dia MS pipes-As required (c) 125 mm dia MS pipes-As required (d) 100 mm dia MS pipes-As required (e) Or any other size pipe of required length as required at site
(ix) Water Makeup Tanks : (a) Rotational moulded polyethylene water storage tanks (cylindrical vertical with closed top), double layered, 500 litres capacity, hoisted and fixed in position and totally insulated with 50 mm thick fibre glass wool density 48 Kg/Cum, covered with polythene sheet faced hessian cloth, GI chicken wire mesh and protected with 28 gauge aluminium foil cladding all as specified in SSR Part-I, complete including suitable size float valve, overflow vent, drain vent etc. all as specified and directed - 01 No. (b) PVC makeup water tank 5000 Ltrs including necessary RCC foundation, float valve and pipe connections for cooling tower all as specified and directed-01 No
(x) Valves, Strainers, Gauges Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of suitable size/types of insulated valves viz, Non- return valves, balancing valves, Butterfly valves, Check valves, Y-Strainers and gauges in condenser water and chilled water plumbing and adequately supported as per specifications - 01 lot '(xi) Ducting (a) Air and return air ducting made all as per SMACNA standards commercial grade GI sheet zinc coating 120 grade 24 guage including 25mmx4mm angle iron supports, 10 mm dia rods, anchor fastener, fittings, joints including 3 mm rubber gaskets and nuts & bolts for jointing the ducts complete al as per IS-655 specified and directed - 01 Lot (b) Air and return air ducting made all as per SMACNA standards commercial grade GI sheet zinc coating 120 grade 22 guage including 25mmx4mm angle iron supports, 10 mm dia rods, anchor fastener, fittings, joints including 3 mm rubber gaskets and nuts & bolts for jointing the ducts complete al as per IS-655 specified and directed - 01 Lot (c) Acoustic insulation with 12 mm thick fibre glass rigid boards covered with tissue paper and MS wire mesh and finished with RP tissue paper and 28 gauge aluminium perforated sheet and upto 5 metre from AHU canvas connection complete all as specified and directed - 01 Lot. (d) Thermal insulation to duct in non air conditioned spaces with 50 mm thick fibre glass wool density 48 Kg/Cum, covered with polythene sheet faced hessian cloth, GI chicken wire mesh and protected with 28 gauge aluminium foil cladding complete all as per IS -655 as specified and directed. (e) Powder coated extruded aluminium supply air diffuser/grills with collar damper complete all as specified and directed. - 01 lot (f) Powder coated extruded aluminium return air diffuser/grills with collar damper complete all as specified and directed. - 01 lot (g) Volume control dampers of GSS opposed blade construction including energy efficient motor of suitable capacity complete with flanges channel and control lever suitable for duct mounting - 01 lot (h) Fire dampers automatic type with fusible link (CPRI certified) and operated with stainless steel spring made out of 16 SWG/ GI sheet to be provided in main supply duct interlocked with AHU motor to cut off circulation of air in case of fire as required for satisfactory completion of work as per site requirement. (j) Air vent as required for satisfactory completion of work - Quantity as required .
(k) Inbuilt stiffness to maintain noise level from AHU to condition room of commercial grade VIII as per IS 655 including plenum air chamber complete. (l) Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of condensate drain water piping of GI medium class 32mm bore complete with medium class fittings like elbows, tees, reducers bends, MS flanges, supports, welding painting 25mm thick EPS insulation etc as required to standard specification-as required. Note:- AC duct shall be designed and submitted by the contractor before commencement of work. The approval shall be obtained from Accepting Officer,. The cost of designing, drawing is deemed to be included in quoted rates.
(xii) Cables, Trays, Rubber Mat (a) Supplying, laying, jointing and testing under ground XLPE armoured cable insulated and PVC sheathed LT 1100 volt grade (heavy duty) with stranded aluminium conductor for following sizes laid in trenches/on floor/in duct, through pipes etc complete:- (i) 120 Sqmm 3.5 core (for chiller) - Quantity as required to complete the work. (ii) 6 Sqmm 3 core (for condensor, chilled water pumping set and heater unit) - Quantity as required to complete the work. (iii) 4 Sqmm 3 core (for cooling tower motors and AHUs at floor etc) - Quantity as required to complete the work. (iv) Or any other size of cables of required length as required at site. (b) Supply, fabricating, erecting of ladder type perforated MS cable tray of size 300mm x 50mm x 1.6mm thickness including horizontal & vertical bends, reducers, tees, cross members and other accessories as required and duly supported from the ceiling/ wall/ floor with MS suspension/ supports and including painting etc-As required (c) Control wiring with copper conductor, PVC insulated, unsheathed multi stranded, 1100V grade, double core of size 1.5 Sqmm drawn in and including PVC conduit of suitable size for interlocking arrangement as per standard practice for thermostat, humidistat, three way valve, heater bank etc required for satisfactory completion of the job complete. (d) Control wiring with copper conductor, PVC insulated, unsheathed multi stranded, 1100V grade, six core of size 1.5 Sqmm drawn in and including PVC conduit of suitable size for interlocking arrangement as per standard practice for thermostat, humidistat, three way valve, heater bank etc required for satisfactory completion of the job complete. (e) Rubber mat 12mm thick, ISI marked, LT 1100V grade of size 0.9x1.8 mts - 06 Nos (f) Weather proof local push button station for cooling tower (near cooling tower)-02 Nos
(xiii) LT Panel and Earthing a) Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of 01 No x LT indoor type panel board factory made of approved CPRI suitable size mounted indoor made out of CRCA sheet 2 mm thick dust proof, powder coated from both side, individual door, factory locking system with two side ventilation suitable for working on 415 volt AC supply including bus bar chamber and copper bus bar of capacity 1000 Amp rating for phase and neutral mounted on hygroscopic insulator fixed in a separate bus bar chamber separate compartment for incoming and outgoing feeder prewired with suitable size of copper conductor cable including fitted on 50x50x6 mm angle iron channel with PCC foundation and provision of lugs and bushing for housing the following:- (i) ACB 630 Amps with shunt trip facility & over current, short circuit, earth fault relays shall be provided with shunt trip (220VAC)-01 Set (incoming) (ii) MCCB 160 Amps with star delta starter, push buttons, LED indicators, multi function meter-03 Sets (Outgoing to water cooled Chiller Unit) (iii) MCCB 100 Amps with star delta starter, push buttons, LED indicators, multi function meter suitable for chiller pump and AHU-03 Sets (Outgoing) (iv) MCCB 63 Amps with star delta starter, push buttons, LED indicators, Multi function meter suitable for condensor pump (1W & 1S) - 02 sets (outgoing) (v) MCCB 63 Amps with star delta starter, push buttons, LED indicators, Multi function meter suitable for cooling tower motor - 01 set (outgoing) (vi) MCCB 100 Amps TPN, 415V, 50 Hz, AC connected with suitable phase bus bar, neutral bar and earth bus bars-01 Set (for pre-and re-heater bank) (vii) MCCB 63 Amps TPN, as spae with suitable phase bus bar, neutral bar and earth bus bars-02 Sets (Ongoing) (viii) Suitable size stainless steel cable entry glands-Qty as required
b) M&L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less 1.5 mtr deep below normal ground level connected to GI earth strip size 25x4 mm as earth lead connected to earth plate by means of nut, bolts, check, nut & washer of galvanized iron or of steel, watering pipe 20 mm dia and protection 40mm dia GI 'light grade' GI wire meshed funnel, alternate layer of char coal and salt on all side to earth plate of thickness of 150 mm filling of black cotton soil in earth pit upto ground level, PCC chamber recessed for and including RCC cover including all necessary excavation & earth work, earth wire connected to main switch board, testing the earthing after completion all as specified and shown in electric plate No. 3 of MES SSR Part - I and as directed. Set of 10 Nos c) Galvanised iron strip of size 25mmx4mm from earth pit to test point provided all around the bldg for lightening protection laid in trenches/fixed to walls on epoxy insulators with screws etc and connecting up, required to connect beyond 7.5m from the earth pit complete - Qty as required. d) GI protection pie 40mm bore light grade required for strip beyond 7.5m from earth point complete - Qty as required. Note: Cost of protection pipe upto 7.5 mtr from the earth chamber deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted
(xiv) Supply and fixing in position the following non chemical type scale preventor suitable for 230 TR capacity to be connected with main header of condensor water piping including connected pipe work of suitable size complete-01 Set Note:- The following works are deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. a) All works which are required to achieve desired inside conditioning the cost of all items deemed to be included in the work. b) Civil work such as provision of new foundation in PCC 1:3:6 C-1 type for chiller unit, cooling tower, Motors, Excavation, returning filling, removal, sand cushioning, bricks protection for cable laying outside the AC plants etc - Qty as required. c) Rubber expansion joints of suitable sizes d) All the miscellaneous items required for satisfactory completion of work such as flexible canvass connection at unit, small control valves etc. as directed and as per standard engineering practice. e) The contractor has to visit the site and submit the details of plants or any other comments/changes to the specifications mentioned above to achieve the above design conditions before bid submission. The cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. f) The contractor shall submit the detailed drawing for duct layout with sizes, piping, layout etc and equipment details for approval of GE before placing any order to the manufacturer. g) All other makes which are not mentioned in tender shall be ISI marked and as per tender provisions Note : (i) Details of items/ tonnage of AC plant as given above are only indicative/ tentative, vendor shall ensure proper design of AC plant duly approved by IIT/ NIT as per latest engineer practice based on buildings drawings (showing air conditioned space) and include all accessories essentially required (ii) Design of AC plant with complete heat load calculation/ ducting/ AHU/ other details duly approved by IIT/NIT shall be submitted for approval of Accepting Officer not later than one month of acceptance of contract (iii) Capacity of AC plant may vary as per actual design.
