Water proofing of the terrace to prevent leakage of rain water to the area rented to MHA on 1st Floor in TE Building Sector-37 Chandigarh.

20 mm cement plaster of mix : 1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand)

In 75x75 mm deep chase

1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand)

(a) Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent design mix)

Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead.

Disposal of building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by mechanical means, including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground or as approved by Engineer-in-charge, beyond 50 m initial lead, for all leads including all lifts involved.

Water proofing of the terrace with cold application of Damp proof water proofing chemical of Asian paints or equivalent involving the following steps:- i) Cleaning the entire surface area of the terrace with wire brush etc and making the surface dust & dirt free ready for application of water proofing treatment. ii). Repairing the surface with Polymer & crack seal of Asian Paint or equivalent make whereever required. iii). Application of 1st coat of Damp Proof water proofing chemical of Asian paint or equivalent make diluted with 30% water. iv) After air drying of the 1st coat of Damp proof , application of 2nd coat of Damp Proof water proofing chemical of Asian paint or equivalent make. v). After air drying of the 2nd coat of Damp proof , application of 3rd & Final coat of Damp Proof water proofing chemical of Asian paint or equivalent make. ( The agecy is required to furnish a 10 years Warrenty Bond on the treatment from the Asian Paint agency who has executed the water proofing treatment of the terrace).
